  1. I'm hoping he's just coming out of his morning stupor so by September he looks around and ask "what the **** has gone on? It was just supposed to be a nap! I must destroy!" I MUST DESTROY UCF!! What was that score last time...forget that...DROPPING 70 ON 'EM!! and Taggart if you are ever in the position to drop 70 on them you better not let up!! I was at that game and it was 64-12... I think if Taggart gets in a position to step on their necks, he will happily do so. It was hot as heck that day... Yeah it was.

  3. USF locker room after AAC media days... How we should all feel.

  5. I'm rooting for Taggart. A seven win season locks us in for likely our best recruiting class in school history with the guys who are sitting to "wait and see." So far we are the top choice for a few four star guys who haven't pulled the trigger. I want to win because I want that talent... I want to see the recruiting success translate to the field. I think it will this season. That will make Harlan "beam"!
  6. Wait... BJ was in a completely different situation. We had Matt, who was a returning 2 year starter when B.J. walked on campus. We on the other hand had Mike White... who liked to throw ints... A lot it appears. He couldn't run nor throw on the run. Bench... he is a backup. I believe any experience gained is good experience if the player uses it to improve his game. So I think having played a total of about 4 quarters total last season helped him.
  7. it was a waste, but couldn't he still redshirt if need be in a coming year? yup
  8. Lol...I see it quite different. White was given the keys and it didn't work out. He was given the opportunity to be the man even when I would have sat him including through injury interceptions and sacks... So you don't mind burning Flowers RS? I don't. It's not like we're going to stop recruiting QBs... some of you will be shocked when we sign a four star dual threat QB this year. The guys from the recruiting boards likely know who I'm talking about. I don't mind at all. We are may literally have 3 former 4 star qbs on our roster next season... and then with Kean... we are straight. I think burning the redshirt may have served Flowers well. He knows the game speed now and got some experience under center. I don't think the guy is at all intimidated by anything dealing with the game now. Kid has supreme confidence. I think he's going to put on a show this season.
  9. It's easy to see you've never played organized football... and been good at it.
  10. That is pretty handy. You are ignoring WRs that would have been here the last two years while complaining that there have not been enough WRs here the last two years. I would consider that a significant flaw in your argument. Do you even understand recruiting at all? I'm not being a ****, I'm just wondering because a commit is not even enrolled in the college. They've actually yet to finish high school and they have not signed letters of intent. They are constantly flipping. I mean that's not handy, that is actually looking at who the team has signed and who's on the roster. So you make no sense trying to include someone who was being recruited. That's just illogical for so many reasons. You are trying to bolster an argument information not related to who left the school. What roster WRs did we lose? We lost 2...
  11. Besides Davis the last 2 years who else did we have at receiver...I can't recall. Adams and Bronson looked good in limited action last year. Holtz really left wr and qb tallent bare besides Davis. I seem to recall multiple receivers bailing out after Taggart was brought in as head coach. So it's great to criticize others, but sometimes the fault is your own. I am more optimistic than I have been in a while, but I have been disappointed two years in a row by the coaches decision making overall. I hope Kinnan can knock some sense into his former pupil, It wasn't multiple, it was Dvario Montgomery and he was upset Skip got fired. He was the exception. Skips WR recruits were not that good... actually they were pretty bad as a whole. DIdn't Sterling Griffin leave, too? Yep, definitely more than just D'Vario. I think a commit or two bailed as well. Sterling left because he'd played his 5th year at USF and was granted another year. He was not the same player 3 knee surgeries later. I guess everyone forgot he was injured and they kept granting. I mean to spit hairs, yes Sterling left to go with Holtz at La Tech... didn't start and barely contributed... but ok... he left. I don't count commits.... anytime a coach is fired commits go. I'm talking signed players and guys on the team. If we're splitting hairs, Griffin only played 4 years for USF, 2 for LA Tech and had 800 yards to go with 4 TDs in that time. That's pretty much HOF numbers for a USF WR the past 5 years. 3 playing years at USF, 1 medical redshirt 2010, and 2 years at La Tech... Well... considering our offensive ineptitude in the west coast system and the last season on skip... yeah those are great numbers. lol

  13. Blaming the team's lack of success on player's feelings toward one another is lame and insulting. Saying WKU players care more about each other than Bull's players is insulting too. Does he really believe that or was blowing smoke, I don't know. But if he's going to talk about it going slower than he thought it would he needs to man up and shoulder that responsibility like he did after that first loss year one. All the people on here saying emotions in the locker room don't have anything to do with success on the field have obviously never played a down of football this! That's what it is BULLZ great comment
  14. Football gods already gave us Reilly Gibbons this year ... let's not be greedy. The academic committee the football gods have controlled for years have maligned USF football for far too long. I agree with BasketBull ... the gods owe us. I believe the academic committee has been gone for awhile now ... Hooked another one ... starting to make up for the pisspoor fishing trip I was on a couple weekends ago ... Weak. Perfect description of your troll discernment ability. ... Son, I've forgotten more about troll discernment than you'll ever know. Honestly, though, I didn't even look at who posted it before replying, assumed it was one of the myriad of newbies who may not be aware the dreaded AC is gone. If you're really serious about getting into the trolling business, check out GoBulls84 on the Rumors thread. This was a poor attempt ... lol... Got'em I can't believe there are people who still believe the AC is in place.
  15. ...sure, let's fire a coach every three years. That will definitely build the stability we need to win conference and get a P5 call up....smh Gotcha...make sense to me. There's no point in even asking what his expectations for the season is because you'll get the same answer he's given the last few months. Expect a good football team, to play in a new years eve bowl game (lol). Other than the select few big time programs most coaches are just going to say "I'm excited, I'm expecting big things". I agree we should've been better than we were last year, but couldn't expect too much out of that team. We are in an awful conference so a good coach shouldn't need a loaded roster to be near the top if not at the top of this conference especially in year 3 now. I think Taggart takes more heat than he normally would given the circumstances he took over because he runs our offense that has been nothing short of piss-poor. Other than we have a new offensive system, new defensive system, and the notion of our guys are getting older and more experienced so they're going to get better (none are guarantees) we don't have anything to point to of substance to really know that things are going to start to be awesome this year. It's not like this team has a solid offense and we just need to pick up the slack on defense, or we are one good group of WR away from being a serious offense or something like that. Cyber - If the coach is crapping the bed over a 3 year tenure in the AAC he's gotta go. You're not taking over Vanderbilt in the SEC. This is USF in the AAC. Look at Justin Fuente and Memphis. His first two years there, they were 7-17. In year 3 they went 10-3 and were co-champs of the conference. I don't think you could look at their roster and say wow Memphis just had so much talent to work with they had no choice but to go 10-3. Stability is important, but if you don't have what it takes to get the job done they've gotta go. If you look at the flip side going for stability you could stick with a guy for 5-7 years and that just sets your program back even more than firing a few coaches after 3 seasons. This

  17. Honestly, he wouldn't know if it looked good or not. The only part of the process he is previ too is the application process... So basically the school files his paperwork and then the two of them are in the dark. This is a shot in the dark and after having mentioned to a friend in compliance, they don't really expect it to get approved but you don't know if you don't try.
  18. If Taggart is fired and another coach brought in, we'll here all about the cupboard being empty again. And really, I don't see how anyone can say the cupboard is suddenly full. These kids haven't won a thing. We have no idea if they are any good or not. Win some games and we can talk about the talent we have. I just wish Taggart would stop blaming everyone else and take some responsibility. When did Taggart blame anyone? He didn't ... It's just one of those baseless cliches about him that people like to trot out at times. Kind of like the one about Holtz never referring to USF as we or us. Taggart has blamed others for two years. Those wearing the green and gold goggles don't see the quotes. One link... should be easy to find. Find one article or interview. You're on the clock.
  19. Okay, Duck Little, 9+1+1 = 11, and that 1 traditional game could double as the required 1 P5 game ... so they will still have 1 or 2 slots to fill every year. What may be harder to get will be a return game but there will still be plenty of spots for P5 vs G5 scheduling. I'm surprised you don't see it coming. Saban has said it, the majority of P5 coaches polled support the idea as well (only playing P5 teams). Baylor and TCU got hit with it last season. The conferences are now MANDATING OCC games against other P5 schools. They've banned ALL games against FCS teams. The gap between P5 and G5 is going to only get wider. Baylor and TCU didn't get hit with that... they got hit with the Big 12 not having a title game.

These kids haven't won a thing. We have no idea if they are any good or not. Win some games and we can talk about the talent we have. I just wish Taggart would stop blaming everyone else and take some responsibility. When did Taggart blame anyone? The guy literally has never blamed anyone for our struggles. Just because you write it on the internet doesn't make it true. I think you're confused between Taggart and Holtz. I'm guessing you were a Holtz guy, The cupboards were bare... completely bare. Marcus Shaw was the starting RB with basically no real backup. Willie Davis? yeah... that guy. Oh, the QBs left behind were Floyd and Eveld... We had to start a freshman 190lb LB because the defense was crap. Oh, we had a walk-on corner and no talent left in the secondary. Durden? yeah Im sure. We had a 273 pound center and the previous coach didnt even recruit his backup. Our S&C program was crap and we had literally no depth anywhere. The cupboards are not full... but they are pretty well stocked now. There is no way anyone can argue they aren't. The fact that youi d When our offense is ranked higher than 100 out of 125 you might have an argument we have some talent. Until then, you have zero basis for that argument. I have a lot of basis for the argument, I've followed the construction of every USF football team for years and have literally watched film on every recruit we've had for the past 10 years. So saying I have zero basis for my argument is just something else you're saying just to say. I'm willing to bet I know a ton more about this team than you do. I argue you know very little about the team or the players with the exception of a few box scores and games you watched LAST SEASON. You are one of the people whose actual insight into the team I question.
  21. i have always liked Tice since we got him. Before Mack got here I thought he'd be our starter. Wasn't he going to start but got injured before the first game last year ..... ? Yup... he was slated to start and got injured. The rest is history. But I'm happy he is going to see plenty of action though. That kid runs hard and works hard.
