  1. If anyone said they wouldn't want Nick Marshall or his numbers that person should be banned. we don't need 20 completions a game to win in this offense. Have you even watched an Auburn game? The year they played FSU for the title, his first year playing QB there... he only once completed more than 17 passes in a game. Stats don't lie.. http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/nick-marshall-2/gamelog/2013/ I love how the stats break down your point, your bring up straw-man arguments, and question knowledge. Best sign of a weak argument. Instead of doing the same lets see if this clarifies it for ya a bit... 10-20 mean anything in between 10 to 20 passes, it could be 10, 11, 12...20. See how that works No one said he was Peyton Manning just a better passer than we have had at USF for several years including what Flowers did last year. The only correlation you will be able to draw would be from this years sample when they would have all been in the same offense. No straw man at all... but you are guilty of a questionable analogy... apples and oranges. I'm beginning to think you don't actually know anything about football. Have you actually ever played football? and been good at it? I agree... I argue nothing I think you're correct. LOL. He just restated the numbers I just posted... Ok I give up... you win Cali... you win... No... If you think you two are saying the same thing you're as stupid as your post.
  2. I was there on Saturday and totally agree with you. Same situation as last year with QF. He's a RB trying to play QB. Luckily this offense is a college offense and a running QB is ideal. Nick Marshall was a DB being successful as a QB in this system and he couldn't throw at all. Cool right? Yes, but Nick Marshall also became the #1 Dual Threat JUCO QB, so it's hard to compare. Marshall was also about 3 inches taller than Quinton. He was the #1 Dual Threat QB in JUCO? Link please... that should be easy for you to find. Most schools recruited him as a DB even in Juco. Auburn needed a running qb for the system and took him. I mean that's not a hard thing to prove and he being 3 inches taller than Flowers matter when running this offense? I still don't think any of you actually knew what type of spread it was until camp started. I still don't think you understand it. Again, we understand the system. I don't know why you have to act so superior to everyone, like we're morons or something. A lot of people have seen Flowers the last week and just aren't as high on him as you are. I'm hoping he can turn it around in the next 19 days since he'll probably be the starter. Here's the link you wanted: Nick Marshall 6-2, 210 | Class of 2013 HometownPineview, Ga. HE WAS NOT THE NUMBER 1 DUAL THREAT. Jesus do you even follow recruiting? I know his recruitment... Auburn initially had him at DB and moved him. This stuff is all over 247 where you actually got that and misunderstood it. I knew what you were trying to say but you don't follow recruiting so you don't know. And you were wrong... smh This is actually ridiculous. You're just throwing things out without knowing you're proving yourself wrong. uuugggh

  6. http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/nick-marshall-2/gamelog/2013/ Don't show one highlight... just look at the numbers. You're dead wrong... and anytime you're defending yourself with a highlight... it's kinda pathetic. a lot of 10 completion games in there... lots of 100 yard rushing games though.
  7. I'm starting to question if you guys even know the offense we're running this season.... more or less the guys running it. It's ok though... keep believing Nick Marshall was a good passer. lol

  9. That actually validates my point. He just ran around and threw it up for grabs. Flowers can throw the ball 50 yards up for grabs. I mean this isn't news... Nick Marshall was not a good passer. I'm not making it up... look at the scouting report and his stats. What he didn't do was complete a high percentage of his passes nor did he too throw interceptions... what he did do was RUSH for 1800 yards and 23 touchdowns in two years. I mean you can argue this but this isn't my opinion. So what you're saying is meaningless.

  11. If we don't have a better season a lot of people will be fired. If you put something in water, it will get wet. Fire burns. Oily roads can be dangerous.
  12. It would be funny if with all this ... the team ends up having one of our better seasons.
  13. I was thinking the same thing. Not being picky... but they are playing two handed touch on the QBs and for a guy who's legs haven't materialized into anything tangible yet there seems to be a lot of clips of him breaking contain and running downfield... I think the general consensus amongst the majority of people is that Flowers is a far better runner and athlete than Bench. You are likely one of 2 people who questions who's the better runner. Everyone's gripe is they thought he'd be a better passer... which he's not. That's the reason many think just go with the read option and run... he'll hit some passes. But just on tape from practice he's more athletic than Grothe... but Grothe was a leader and a good football player. He understood how to play the game. It remains to be seen if Flowers can do that... I honestly have no faith in Bench. None. image.jpg Great movie... John Goodman actually picked up my tab once. Super nice guy.

  15. I find this ranking bogus... I have them ranked #1 7... because actually A&M should be 16 then followed by USF... Oh, and Kentucky is actually more suited for the 21 spot. I mean if you're looking at players and play... USF brings back that entire team and actually added talent to it. I'm just saying.... Go Bulls!
  16. The fact that it's with the third and 4th teams doesn't keep me hopeful at all. Either we run the triple option/read option the entire season or we will not win 6 games. Bench hasn't seen a DB he doesn't want to throw to and Flowers can't throw it appears. So... there we have it. Oh... by the way... I've followed Woulard's career pre-USF as I'm a UCLA fan also... he's not that good which does not make me that hopeful for next season. Nothing personal Cali, but for the last 3 weeks you've been posting about how Flowers is the savior of USF and now you're giving up on him? And now Woulard sinks too? The TBP Scouting Combine must carry a lot of weight with him ... No idea as to what you're talking about.

His opinion doesn't mean too much until we actually see Woulard play in a game. I'll say this... if you think Woulard is the next great thing... you're going to be disappointed. Fans were as bad on him as people are Bench out here. While he threw a nice spiral, he has no decision making ability live action. The lights literally go out. If the game was played 7-7 or in non contact drills, he's your guy. I'm sure he looked great against the 3rd and 4th team defense. Oh... not just my opinion. Stop by the Bruins 247... not just my opinion.

  20. Clearly you didn't see Nick Marshall play at Auburn... He couldnt pass at all that first year. A dominant running game and good defense can win games. But I worry about the defense and running game. I actually hope Johnson eventually beats out Mack, he's a grinder and better suited to tote the rock 25 plus times a game over a season. And he's just as talented.
  21. I never thought I'd say this but god I hope Woulard is eligible. If not, I wonder who the next coach will be after taggart is fired. Because if Bench is the best we have... he will be fired.
  22. Don't pout its unbecoming of you ;-) waiiiit.... you guys are talking about pounding? lol
  23. If Bench wins the starting job I'm ignoring USF and will go balls deep with UCLA... I have a connection there too (or rather here)... I'll see USF when they get a QB and Coach.
  24. That's what I've been thinking all year. Best case scenario, Woulard gets the waiver and Flowers moves to WR. Bench is best option if cwt wants to save his job unless woulard gets waver I agree, but coach likes Flowers more, so he'll probably get the nod. If Taggart is not over that mindset he better polish his resume. We need the qb that will give us the best chance to win out there. If it's Bench, then play him. It sounds like he has been more consistent the last couple of days. He just needs to tighten up on throwing those ints , but it seems like everyone is throwing them. He'd better start Flowers in a READ OPTION RUN offense. I'm not sure what system you guys think we're running but we're a read option team. Just like Auburn. I'd think more Nick Marshall ... If the QB in this system is not a real threat to run, this system doesn't work. Not sure if you've been following along but Bench its plenty capable of running in TDs. If you watched last year unless you have a passing threat Ds will Tee up on the running QB... Tell that to Georgia Tech...

I've seen him try to run for 2 years now. He's not a runner. Auburn put a DB at QB because he was a better fit for the system. You have to know what the coaches are running...
