  1. I'd also love this. But CWT has never had a 8-win season in his coaching career... Here's hoping we bowl. Yeah... but he did construct a pretty awful team in three years. He actually did it in two so with us, I'm giving him three. I think he has something and he needs to do his own thing. I just think he needed to learn sometimes that sometimes you need to change your system for the area you recruit. He actually did that which is a good sign. I think we're poised to do some work.
  2. Hey... I checked out the offense from the spring and he'll actually be on the field a lot on 1st and second downs. The fullback is a H-back and subs in for one of the slots when they run. They also do the same with TEs... He'll see carries too. He runs too good not to. He just has to hold the ball this year. This isn't a passing spread... it's a run first spread. It's more Auburn than Mizzou
  3. LOL... this is just the exact same depth chart they put out at the end of spring ball. It is just what's opening up camp on Day 1. It will be a lot of changes to it. Guys who didn't participate in spring lost positions... Harris, Hill, Thor, etc. I actually think once the positions get settled on, we will have a pretty good Oline. I'm pretty sure Bethel and Gibbons will factor into who starts and who doesn't. Also Knox is a former 4 star who had a decent spring. He redshirted last season but don't forget him because you didnt see him playing. We should be fine.
  4. LaGrande Harley was kicked off the team. He was the other one kicked off with Calloway.
  5. Looks like Calloway is gone. That stings... good thing we recruited that position well.
  6. I agree totally with this assessment Didn't the little giants win it all? Indeed they did. It's funny, a year of low expectations could yield something special. Nunca sabe
  7. Who cares what you'd do? From what I get all you want is USF to fail.
  8. I think this is the best and should be the primary home look. I agree
  9. I actually agree with this. Sure hate losing but the perception hit and recruits that will leave if CWT gets fired this year is going to hurt. This is a no win situation, if we do not win. So lets win. Yeah dude. I'm pretty sure players and coaches run across these blogs and it gets frustrating. I think they know they are better. I hope they are as frustrated by the losing perception as we are. I think the guys are tired of losing and now they finally have the talent and system to change that. Also, you're 100% correct. People should be cheering we win because if they fire Taggart you will see a lot of transfers.
  10. Those things are awesome! Love it.
  11. And just who authorized CWT to use this phrase? Who was it?! 'fess up...it'll go a lot easier on you if you just come forward now. It's been some time since we flipped the Hype switch to the 'off' position and the needle on the beliefometer hasn't moved in years. After the bus video the one thing I learned from Coach Taggart is not to believe the hype. Particularly his. I bullieve. I think Taggart is the guy and this year starts the rise. With all our might, we'll fight the battle here and now and we will win the victory.... #ALLIN ... The rise of the Bulls.
  12. I don't care about hot seat reads. It's obvious. I'm cheering for the team to succeed this year and I think they will. The one thing long term losing programs share is a revolving door. USF doesn't need that and I'm not cheering for a coaching change because of the media and some fans who are upset that we sucked the last season given where we were heading.
  13. Likely very since the basis of the design is what he ran at Manatee... similar to the offense Auburn runs, Kinnan consulted while they developed that offense, too.
  14. Those guys that "made it" and still remember USF enough to get involved make me proud. We need those guys!t says is they care about the program It also says they care about the program. Those guys want to help bring it back. It's odd that during Skips tenure none of this occurred. I think this year those guys are going to go smack some teams in the mouth. We are on our way back to big time football here at USF.
  15. That's also my prediction... they will once again make us proud. They will give us our fan swag back. Chest out, chin up... t
  16. There is a ton of potential on the team. Perhaps as much as we've ever had in terms of individual talent. They just have to play as a team. Just go out out and play fast and hard but with discipline. I feel the key to this season will rest in Flowers ability to move the offense. If he can move the offense, everything changes. I also don't think we will know pretty early on in camp. If he has improved even more from spring ball, I'll feel better about our chances. I normally don't put any weight into games like FAMU, but given the past 4 years I'm going to base a lot of what I think Flowers can do based on that game. not sure if I would base what Flowers does against FAMU as an indicator of how he will play the entire season.... I get what you're saying but... well... just saying I wouldn't do that. He'll move the offense. He's a upgrade from what we've had the past few years.
  17. And I thought I was upbeat! Nah... I got you there. This team has some juice. That defense is going to be a monster and I think Flowers is going to do something special this season. Like Grothe special... and Mack... Mack is going to break some USF records... again. Sophs leading a team to the big time. Guys are stronger and better. Seasoned. No more of the second half collapse this year. 4 quarters.. watch
  18. Maybe last season there were still holdovers from the Skip Holtz entitlement program and part of the reason he wanted to take the names off the jersey was to show no one player is bigger than the team. Maybe... just maybe this season those guys are gone and what's left are team guys who are ready to compete for their spots. So he didn't need a gimmick to get them to buy in. The culture of a program doesn't change over night...... it's been two seasons now, so this is where you see it. They know the coach and what he expects and are demonstrating it. I feel good about this season. Really good. I may be alone in this and I prefer it that way... will make it all the sweeter when people eat crow.
  19. +1 I think that it will serve us well this year. I think we shock the nation.
  20. I find it strange the culture is changing three years in. Were they unable to change the culture three years ago, or did it take new coordinators to change the culture? I would say the culture change has finally taken shape... especially when you couple it with the comment from Apis that this offseason was different because the guys were starting to care about each other... that tells me there might be a little bit of the team holding each other accountable, and that doesn't set well with some people. ("You're not the boss of me!") yeah dude... It really has. This is why I am predicting we win our first conference title this year.
  21. Not only am I predicting a bowl this year... I'm also predicting our first conference title. Our conference is weaker than last season and this team is a lot stronger this year.
  22. If we are 4-1 after the first five games, I will be flying in for the remainder of the games. I'm set to go to away games at FAMU and UM... I'd love to have a reason to fly into Tampa later in the year. I don't really care about the weather, I live in Socal so it's warm that time of year here too. But there is nothing like sitting in Ray Jay when we have a good team. I miss those days.
  23. Not if we can't pass and teams stuff the box like the past 2 years. We really need good QB play if we want to have an effective running game. --Captain Obvious I think we need better QB play, but we will need a different kind of QB play than the past 2 years which to me is a plus. Those guys are going to be allowed to use their legs and the read option will demand the QB is accounted for, which should give Mack and company some room. If we're looking at a line that can be bookend by Gibbons and Bethel, with some combination of Hall, Threat, Ruff, Gundmundson and Galati. We should have a much better line and I really do think Flowers is going to have a better season than many expect. But Gibbons isn't a given at that T spot. Knox, Dlbokavic (no idea as to how to spell it), and Amachia had decent springs. I think the OL play will be better overall than we've seen in a long time... a really long time... like 2009 or something.
  24. I just missed him because I was rushing through. He actually had a good spring. I just talked to Todd Chandler so I got a few good tidbits of information on the Dline. I was thinking about talking to a couple of the other guys I'm still friends with and maybe writing something up. But Hector is definitely in the mix. From the looks of it the Dline will go really deep this year, especially early on. We could see as many as 8 to 9 people in the rotation at various points with the starters playing the most minutes. Todd Chandler the DT or Todd Chandler the NT? NG
