  1. Indeed, Adams and Valdez Scantling were both transfers... I mean we do pretty darn well with transfers if you really look at it Guys like MVS and Adams have opened some eyes in terms of transferring home to play. Both came back and got drafted. Now with Cronk, Barnett, and McDoom it appears we'll continue that newly formed tradition of letting players come home to play. We send them away on their 1 or 2 year missions and then they come home ready to get to business.
  2. In short... yes. I remember his recruiting, was Willie's first year. But in all honestly you couldn't really blame the guy, we were a dumpster fire... it sucked because up until signing day I thought we'd get him. We were his last official too. Better late than never though.
  3. I know right... There have been guys who haven't played much that have been drafted. I don't get what what they're saying.
  4. Why would they not care to see them? This actually doesn't make a lot of sense.
  5. It's funny because they're fan base is about to witness them getting slapped off that high horse.
  6. Lost Taco, Dawkins, and another starter. Oh.. yes... Taco was that big of a force for them.
  7. Hey... he said he's not looking locked into the north east... I think we're done there. BYU just makes since to me. and I could watch American games at normal times.
  8. LOL... I also think they're going to add BYU. https://www.si.com/college-football/2019/06/27/uconn-american-mike-aresco-membership
  9. Lord... bigger man? U was being nice but if you want me to be a ****... eat ****. Feel better? Now you can be the bigger man, i lower myself and say **** off. FYI... I was one of the few who went to the Wsky game in Madison bigger man.
  10. No.. my years are correct... I actually mean to put Michigan State and not Whisky for the Shaw rushing. When we had Shaw, Willie Davis, and keep forgetting that other guys name and I'm too lazy to look. My confusion was in the way you wrote it, I thought you were saying Shaw and Mack were on the same team.
  11. Mack didn't play the same year Shaw did. Mack came they year after and had more than 30 yards rushing as a freshman. The first game of his freshman yer he broke a school rushing record for yards rushing in a single game. The year played Wisky I think we had Shaw, Willie Davis, and one more. That year Shaw rushed for like 700 or 800 yards on the season. Shaws best games were McNeese state because of the long run and I think he actually rushed for almost 100 or went over 100 against Wisconsin.
  12. But if they add a school, it will be BYU, Army, or Boise St... I don't think they want more. ESPN is not giving more money so any added teams take away from current teams. I think it may be BYU because it almost makes sense, they're already renegotiating the deal and that could be actually worked into the current AAC deal without much disruption. I don't see schools in the NE really appealing to them... they'll go with a known quantity.
  13. We have Houston and SMU in Texas, why would we need a bigger footprint there and all of those other schools are in the southeast. We have a fair amount of players on the squad from Georgia. Strong recruits Georgia heavily. I don't see the reward of bringing in a school from Alabama or Mississippi in because they have a fertile recruiting ground With the exception of Texas, all of those schools have to recruit outside of their states to be good.
  14. We're in the South East... Where the majority of the talent rich states are. What other talent rich states are there?
  15. Deepest team we've had in a minute... Shouldn't be any guys tired and now we can fully man special teams.
  16. Charlie has put together quite the team it appears. Piece by by piece... Slade is another big bodied end and a grown man. Guys are like free agents with that extra year. I think he'll contribute and add solid depth. I really like the way the Dline is starting to unfold.
  17. ESPN will approve BYU for football only and the AAC will be cool with it. They'll allow recast of their games on their network with some restrictions and they'll add to value to the current deal.
  18. aaahhh... i got you. I agree... definitely better at the 1 technique.
  19. This kid is good... really good. He has incredible hips and for a guy that size it's not common. He plays with leverage, doesn't get moved off the ball, aggressive at the point of attack and has lots of room to get better. He seems to like bull rushing but I noticed he uses a couple of advanced moves for a kid in high school. A couple of times he uses a rip inside move and a club and punch. Kid plays a lot of 1 and 3 technique, I don't expect to see him in much 5. He he's light on his feet and is explosive enough. Kid is going to be a monster.
