  1. No, you don’t rotate OL like you do guys on the DL. The starting 5 is meant to play the entire game (outside of injuries, poor performance, etc.) OL is a heck of a lot less tiring than DL, no matter the tempo.
  2. If we are rotating guys in up front, that’s a bad sign. You don’t rotate guys on OL to keep them fresh. That’s not how it works
  3. I’m not sure why the new staff insists on having Atterbury at OT. He’s a serviceable OG, and I didn’t think Jennings did an awful job at tackle last year.
  4. Sure, but he’s coming off a broken leg and making a position change. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t redshirt.
  5. No one on the roster has the amount of game breaking speed as Horne. Only McDoom is really close. Outside of McDoom and RSF, our other outside WRs aren’t necessarily burners. Clearveaux, Roland, and Phillips are all avg or slightly above avg in terms of speed. We have some guys with quickness, but not straight burners like we have had in the past. Even if he’s mostly a decoy to keep the defense in a 2 safety look he’s impacting the game positively.
  6. This is big time news. Even if they ease Horne in week 1 (limited to kickoffs & spot WR snaps maybe?) he provides the explosive play ability that we will need against Wisconsin. I would love to see a sub package with - St. Felix (Slot) Ford (Slot) McDoom Horne That’s a ton of speed on the field that would will provide a numbers advantage in the run game more often than not
  7. Dude, it’s college football. Fire up the grill, crack open a beer and go watch your bulls beat a brand name team on August 30th.
  8. Not every day you meet someone from the future. While you’re here, mind telling me who wins the WS this year? I wouldn’t mind making some extra cash in Vegas
  9. Man it would be nice if Roland could become a playmaker on this team. I haven’t seen much out of him to make me believe he can, but it sure would help round out the depth at the WR position
  10. Definitely a great comeback, but he (& the entire team) really struggled that game. Here’s to hoping we don’t have to comeback against teams like Tulsa in 2019
  11. Well outside of Elon, those might’ve been the 2 best games he played all year. He was downright awful against Tulsa and while he showed glimpses in others, he was wildly inconsistent. Let’s hope he can stay healthy and find some consistency
  12. Im with you here. I don’t think BB is bad necessarily, but I’m not sold that he’s a difference maker. I understand our OL was shaky to say the least, but there are too many examples of BB getting sloppy with footwork. He was also fooled by pre snap rotation at least twice last year (GT & Illinois). I understand there is reason for optimism (Arrived late in fall, battled injuries) but I’m not super confident we get much more than avg QB play this year.
  13. The point is he made an NFL roster. Blake Barnett will have to make significant strides to hang on anywhere after training camp
  14. The NFL sees who it wants to see. If you have talent, they will find you. You could barely crack special teams as a senior, but if you put up #’s on pro day they are going to give you a look.
  15. CCS did a pretty nice job this offseason. Really need a quality LT and a true Edge rusher to fill this squad out. That’s a tall order as we are not the only program looking to fill voids there. Even just a capable LT would do wonders for this team. Really hoping BB has worked on his pocket presence this offseason. All of his other traits are serviceable, but man did he panic in the pocket last year. I understand the OL was bad, but he really lacks awareness in the pocket
  16. While running a nickel defense when FSU trots out 1 WR sets.... Everyone in the stadium knew they were running the ball, and CWT/Woodie runs out 5 DBs
  17. Gotcha. The “make the crib great again” reference (Sails quote) made it a bit confusing.
  18. You guys are mixing up Clemmons & Sails. Sails started at UNC and is transferring to be closer to home due to tragic family circumstances. Clemmons isn’t committed to USF, and is all over the board on his allegiance. He was all over UK and USF throughout the process, and committed to Minnesota out of no where. Now within a couple of months, he’s transferring again. Two completely different dudes, with different circumstances.
  19. Nothing personal against Billy, but he’s best suited as an OG. Reaves got the best of him quite often in the Spring Game by simply speed rushing him. I don’t blame the staff for giving it a shot and trying to find a place for him, but it’s just not a great fit given his attributes
  20. Wait...what? Am I reading this correctly? Funding tied to an on campus football stadium?
