  1. Welcome to USF! Were there any communications about this game (or any other games) sent to the new students? Maybe as part of a move in packet?
  2. I look forward to kicking off the season with some light heckling of the visiting coach. My fiance says that she won't be happy if I do this, but I suspect that she will join in. Just walk over to the berm closest to the entrance when you get in. You'll find the Goalmouths there who should be able to teach you a thing or two.
  3. I expect The Goalmouths to take their antics to the next level tonight. I know Chris Blais gave them some tips a while back about the Michigan keeper. They'll likely have a chant or two for the former Bull that transferred to UM, as well.
  4. If he is, then he should have a huge year this year. I'm fine with that.
  5. Men's soccer takes on Michigan in their home opener tonight at 7. This match will be nationally televised on Fox Soccer Network for those of you that are out of towners. Tickets are only $6 for adults and no charge for students and children for what should be a great match of college soccer. If you've never seen a game at Corbett, this will be one of the best to go to this season.
  6. Thurierre was used in the same way during the JU game. It looks like he will be the guy this season unless someone else steps up.
  7. We have some new guys who WILL give both of them a run for their money when it comes to dunking. Neither is a lock to win the dunk contest. And that's what's going to make it so great. Plus I heard somewhere that Noriega has some ups as well. Don't forget about Hawkins. Wasn't he in a national high school dunk contest?
  8. And from last year you said about Daniel Perry Well Daniel has now made the 2 deep as a true Freshman. Your keen powers of observation at work once again. And for those who pay attention to stars he was a 2 star prospect on Scout. Who else would be ahead of him with Juju and Lynch left out? Being in the second spot with those two out isn't as impressive as you're making it out to be.
  9. The speed and strength definitely stuck out. The JU coach was constantly shouting "be strong" because our guys were easily out-muscling them. I loved that we used the width of the field last night. Its something that we didn't see enough of in the Rowdies and Orlando City scrimmages, in my opinion.
  10. 2-1 final. Kiefer altered the line-up in the second half. The chemistry didn't seem to be there. That's the whole point of these exhibition games though.
  11. 2-0 at the half thanks to a couple nice headers on crosses. The team is working together to create some good attacking positions.
  12. I think this calls for a stampede. Who's in for flooding Todd and Booger's lines with USF talk this afternoon?
  13. The first (exhibition) game of the Men's Soccer season is tonight at 7:30! Is anyone else here going?
  14. They beat you to it. So I'm late to the party then? Nice try
  15. From what I hear, Mexico City is relatively safe. The issues that we hear about are in different areas of the country.
  16. I have no doubts that this is still a very good team, but we lost key players from last year. If Osswald (or another keeper) can fill Blais' shoes, then we should have another impressive season.
  17. With the receiving corp that we have and the RB by committee approach, I would say that you have made a VERY bold prediction.
  18. Did anyone else get their season tickets before the deadline and not get this email?
  19. Just spoke to the ticket office. My tickets were mailed on the 3rd.
  20. I didn't have as much luck. My wedding doesn't conflict with a home game, but it does conflict with the Miami game. I have proposed having a tv in the reception hall to watch the game.
  21. The ranking is based on the win percentage against teams that are ranked higher than you in the AP poll. I didn't understand it at first, either.
  22. I don't know much about TSA but why would they have anything to do with a stadium on campus that is considered state land and not taxed by the state? Sorry if this sounds ignorant. TSA has nothing to do with our stadium. I was just using the RJS financials as a rough measuring stick for what we could expect to see, financially.
  23. I didn't make it to FSU... If UF would have had water I would have been fine... I find it interesting how they built it and the pieces fit together... lends to the tradition. The seats at UF were wide and plenty of leg room. I'm a Gator Hater anyway, but I'll never forgive UF for running out of water AND ICE at a noon game in early September. That was bush league to the core. I'm lucky I didn't go to the hospital or have to get medical treatment during that game - I know lots of people did. I blacked out in that visitor section. More and more USF fans were sneaking into the section, adding to what was already unbearable.
