  1. I don't have any pics, but here are some of my observations: Walking down to the field, I spoke with Lamar. He is really excited to get back to his position. There were four players that really jumped out at me. - I'm thinking that Ruben Gonzalez being ahead of Welch on the spring depth chart had more to do with Gonzalez's performance than Welch underperforming. He caught everything that came at him tonight. - Lamar looked great with the ball in his hands. No running plays, but he got plenty of short passes thrown his way. Once he touched the ball, he was gone. Kinda what you would expect from a guy like him without pads. Made some good cuts too. - On the defensive side, Lanaris played well. He had an interception, maybe two. His aggression stood out to me. It helped him make some good stops. - Webster's leadership showed on every play. Whether he was on the field or on the sidelines, he was constantly helping the other defensive backs read the offense. Sean Price didn't play. He was there, but observed the entire scrimmage with Hawkins in the backfield. I overheard Hawkins giving Price pointers as they walked by. I don't think that there's anyway that Floyd is our second string QB. Eveld looked much better tonight. Floyd was very hesitant and held onto the ball way too long. BJ's accuracy was great. And to brag a little: After the game, BJ called everyone to huddle up. When they broke the huddle, all of the players came over to my fiance and I to thank us for coming out and being season ticket holders. There was a total of 7 fans there with only me and my fiance standing on the sidelines with the players. The others watched at a distance.
  2. Going on right now. If you're in the area, I recommend coming down. There's only a few of us here and the players are very social tonight
  3. Yeah. They kept switching between Lamar and the kid, it was hard to tell the difference.
  4. These predictions are clearly wrong. There's no way for the SEC to win the national championship
  5. Is this general seating for the $50 price point? I think that there were general seating and premium seating options last year.
  6. This is mostly for Bull By Marriage, but I figured that there might be others that enjoy the sport enough to be interested in season tickets. At my basketball ticket appointment, I was told that soccer tickets should go on sale "any day now". I wish I could get a straight answer out of these guys...
  7. I haven't figured this one out, either. Weren't recruiting boards talking about him a year ago? I feel like there was quite a bit of buzz around him and thought that he would be a pretty big prospect by now.
  8. I'm sure that the restaurant was advertised on this site!
  9. Are you interested in seeing him live, smazza? Tatum went to both Gaither and Tampa Catholic for high school.
  10. Its all run by Aramark. If I understand the way the company operates correctly, USF doesn't own the restaurants, they just own the space that the restaurants sit in.
  11. I don't think that athletics has promoted this years shirt yet, but I saw someone wearing it earlier today. http://sftampa.bncollege.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/2012_USF_Our_Shirt/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=15056&categoryId=40039&topCatId=40000&langId=-1&parentCatId=40007&productId=400000145856&level=
  12. *12,501 One more than WVU, who is gone now. Personally, I do think football is too big. They need to remove the 300 level seats and only allow the 200 level seats to open up once the 100 level is full. Too many students go straight to the top of the 200s (although I can't blame them for the day games when there is shade up there). As for basketball, I get the feeling it will be too big as well. We'll fill it for some games (like the opener versus UCF) but it will not be consistent. They need to reduce the number of seats to try and create a student demand. The students aren't always the reason for the filling of the 200 level. While I never had it happen to me, I've had many friends not make it into the 100 sections because security closed it off. The 100 level gets closed at about 80% capacity.
  13. Can you show me the 2011 stat sheet that shows BJ throwing a lot of interceptions and focusing on a single receiver? I've searched for it and haven't been able to find it.
  14. I'm getting married that weekend... my fiance didn't become a big fan of football until after she set the date. She now agrees with what I have told her all along: you don't schedule weddings on Saturdays in the fall. She was quite upset when she saw that we will also miss 3 basketball games that weekend. I'm going to work on getting a tv in the reception hall for football.
  15. I highly doubt that Woulard will be a redshirt freshman in 2014... We say that now because we want to be excited about him but let's face the music a bit on Asiantii. He's only played the position one year. This year will be his second year playing the position period. At the big schools these hot shot QBs come in and they don't even think about starting in their first year, and most will redshirt. South Florida's trying to be a big time school, so why should they be different? Like you said, we are TRYING to be a big time school. Therefore, we don't have the depth at every position like the traditional powers do. Our other options are Floyd and the Evelds. I think that the fact that he's only played QB for a year and is receiving this sort of hype only adds to the likelihood that he starts in a year from now. He's been selected to participate in prestigious quarterback camps and has a year to work on areas that need improvement. Come Big East play in 2013, I fully expect Asiantii to be our starter at QB.
  16. I highly doubt that Woulard will be a redshirt freshman in 2014...
  17. Even more so considering what he got on his SATs...
  18. If we can get Skip to the opening basketball game this year, he might get the picture. Even though its the middle of football season, I think he will be there. Its a major event for the entire athletics department.
  19. That definitely plays a part in it. You can't have classes every semester if you can't afford them. However, at worst, the required classes are offered once a year. Its usually certain electives that are offered once every other year. I missed a couple awesome classes in Computer Science because of that...
  20. D'Vario is on campus. Haven't heard anything about Price, but I think he's a guy that we would have heard about if he weren't on campus.
