  1. I failed to buy a ticket. I'm having a tough time deciding between watching the game from behind the outfield or watching on ESPNU...
  2. Greg mentioned that we can probably expect the defense to be less agressive this year. I can only assume that this means that the defense will give the opposing offense hugs based on how soft they played last year.
  3. I didn't think he had any eligibility left. Isn't he a little old to play competitive football?
  4. Do they stop letting people in at 1400? Fire code capacity? Don't know, but it's a good problem to have. Feels almost like soccer back in the fall. Need to make it loud and follow Coach Heath's philosophy (see signature). There's no way that the place gets packed the way the UNM soccer game did. 1) Summer semester 2) I don't think they stopped letting people into the soccer stadium. Since they're selling tickets to this match, they will sell out and stop letting people in (my guess).
  5. I'll be there for my first softball game!
  6. There's a 2nd RB in his class who I'm sure he will split carries with. Also, Columbus had a RB last year who is heading to Louisville.
  7. I remember reading an article about a stadium being built in Allen TX for their high school. I believe the new stadium holds 20K. Compare that to the powerhouses in our area (Armwood, Plant, etc) which probably hold around 5K.
  8. $14 Million is a lot of money to enclose a football field... even with a few offices and storage tacked on, plus design fees, and all the other stuff, that is a high number. . Isn't $14 million what the BHNFP cost? No. I'm pretty sure that the cost was 14 million doll hairs.
  9. An O-Lineman on Varsity his Freshman year? Pretty impressive.
  10. Year Revenue(mil) Expenses(mil) 2011 41.9 43.5 2010 39.2 39.1 2009 38 35.2 2008 34.9 32.8 2007 28.2 27.8 2006 25.7 24.2 It looks like our revenue is growing, but not as quickly as our expenses... http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/story/2012-05-15/texas-athletics-spending-revenue/54960210/1
  11. I love the fact that he is a very good defensive player, in addition to being a very good scorer. We need to continue to play a ferocious defense. If we can do that, we should be able to do even better this coming season, having more offensive firepower. I get giddy when watching our defense. They made some good teams look terrible last season.
  12. Has the guy that wrote the Bleacher Report article been to all 124 stadiums?
  13. Of course the one guy who isn't considering us is from Plant...
  14. I got both of those. I received one of them in the middle of the week last week. I saw the email on my phone and forgot to post the info on here.
  15. Let's bring Ohio in. I think we can sellout the dome for that rematch.
  16. Athletics just sent me an email which included the following PDF for basketball. There's a layout of the dome with the annual gift required for each section on page 10. No ticket prices though... https://admin.xosn.com/pdf8/844157.pdf
  17. That's right, she's not a senior is she? Does that alone work against her (like it used to be with the Heismann?) She's a sophomore. Don't know enough about college softball to answer the second question.
  18. I doubt we can get UF. I could see FSU happening though
  19. The Rutgers ranking probably has a lot to do with Savon Huggins. I think that their offensive line is still a huge question mark. For the past couple of years, Adrian Peterson wouldn't have been able to run behind that line.
  20. Its coach speak. I'm sure Holtz will say the same about Ball State
  21. They released Collaros and signed Jordan Jefferson? That's just stupid, if you ask me.
  22. Bull94: When students select a university, they often look at the experience that a school provides. Having athletics invest in the future of our programs gets higher caliber student athletes to take a second look at our school. Bringing in better student athletes improves the chances of having successful programs. Success is fun for the fans, leading to a better student experience. Also, since our brief stint at the top of the polls in football in 2007, applications for admission have skyrocketed. The profile of the average student entering the university has gone up quite a bit since then, as well. Athletics has been great for the growth of USF, academically.
  23. Last years graduation was held at the tampa bay times forum. Gate A was the closest exit for me. Maybe most people tried exiting through that gate because the grads were waiting for them there? I would've escaped through another exit had I known they were open.
  24. Yes. Only Gate A was open. But that was only part of the problem. The other problem was families deciding that just outside of the doors was the best place to meet up with graduates and take pictures. I had the same issue at last years graduation at the forum.
