  1. This is too rational for TBP. We played CJS's first game, then 2 top 15 teams... no spring ball, and missing players... an empty cupboard... did I miss anything else? We won't turn it around over night people.
  2. Cade really didnt get much play... would be nice to see a drive or 2 next game
  3. I wish I could give more. I am sticking with my Bulls Club contributions... and if you haven't yet, please consider giving to USF Athletics. Can be as little as a couple bucks, and some employers even match starting at 25 bucks.
  4. Based on CJS's comments today, I am inclined to believe this is going to hurt this Saturday, if we play at all...
  5. It matters. Consistent play without stupid, avoidable mistakes typically gives you the best chance to win. I know the anecdotes about aggressive, winning teams that are highly penalized, but I am not sure that's how the Dabo's/Saban's/etc of the world get to where they are.
  6. Love these. Great way to start the week. Coaching staff sounds very aware of "what step" we are on as a program and where we are. No delusion. Good to have a clear, rational plan to get back to where we need to be. I hear this as have level expectations. I mean, we can't expect to win the conference if we don't even have a solid QB. One step at a time. Doesn't mean don't try to win the d*** game, but it does hope isn't a strategy and we have to do the work required to win. Like find a QB. And good to see the OL get some love. Agree its an underrated position.
  7. nobody knows. Could be covid, could be injuries, could be rules-based.
  8. At this point Tags is a seasoned coach, as is CJL Last year's FAU team was stacked Motivation for a win on that sideline is HIGH I worry about this one. Although, it is their first game, so no practice yet at all. One advantage for us. The second is we basically have the former coaching staff on our side now.
  9. Well, OK, anytime USF loses, I'm upset. But we have a (1) underdeveloped team, with a (2) new staff, (3) playing a playoff caliber team. So I understand. BUT I saw some positives today. 1. Players walked off the field with heads held high. This small gesture in body language tells me something about their attitude and grit. 2. We had , I think 49 rushing years in the first half, 45 on that one Ford run. It was abysmal. But the first drive of the second half, we came out swinging and got multiple first downs on a 50+ yard drive. The coaches and players *adjusted* and didn't give up, despite a 35 point deficit. I can't enforce anything but hoping we can keep this thread to focusing on positives.
  10. To un-depress myself I looked at the 2021 schedule. We get Florida, @NCState, and @BYU. Hope we can find some redemption in some of those.
  11. We should have a touchdown. Stupid holding, bad special teams, gimmicky plays. I don't care if we win but jeez this is sloppy.
