This would be a decent conference - IF the money was on par with the P5 conferences. Big if, though.
It wouldn't even have to be on par.
It would need to settle at about half of what the P5 are doing, which would be roughly 10-12 million a season. Unfortunately we're at about 1/10th of half.
The money divide is what's going to kill us. We can still get players to be competitive. It's a problem when position coaches are getting paid more than head coaches. Hell there are a handful of coordinators making more. It's only a matter of time before the added money trickles down the staff.
I would to have the problem that we are so successful that a coach is leaving for another program. That being said I hope we have big money alumni and doners to keep our coaches.
