  1. Many school have. They are starting to crack down as its becoming a more lucrative business. FSU cracked down on a school that has been using it for 50 years. But the interesting point is that they used it with FSU's previous blessing: http://rivals.yahoo....ghschool,265495 The gators sued 2 schools: http://www.gatorspor...urg-High-Gators http://foxnewsinside...the-gator-logo/
  2. It looks like they also have mini logos after every 10 yards in the middle of the field (kind of cool as well.) But not sure how well they will come up due to their size
  3. Interesting, the middle space is the bottom portion of a T (for Toros) I like red and black, so it's kinda cool seeing the logo in that color scheme. I wonder if USF licensed it, or knows about it? And if the student's know it came from USF
  4. Do they even have ushers at the bottom of the stairs going up to the 2nd level? We always come in through the Club, with the rest of the Chosen Ones, and out from there. The ushers at the top's primary concern is keeping the riff raff out the Club and, occasionally, halting the flow back to their seats right before a play starts .... which, as an aisle sitter, I really appreciate. We very rarely have problems with squatters in our section (214), or the next one over that I can see. If you've got the same people without the proper tickets repeatedly coming back into your section, and the regular usher/security isn't doing anything about it, I'd ask to speak to a supervisor. I'm in 125. Ushers were there, but they didn't check for tickets. Same in 126 tonight too.... And God dammit it security comes down one more time to threaten us with getting kicked out for standing WHEN APPROPRIATE I'm done with buying STH's to support this school. Great thinking! Hurt USF in not supporting the program due an issue with A SEPARATE ORGANIZATION THAN USF. Why do we have to deal with RJS and their support staff? We don't have an OCS because we don't have the financial support yet... so lets go ahead and be proactive by ceasing to support the program
  5. I was planning on coke and strippers for the Nevada game. Seems the most appropriate Or for Miami
  6. 1) A couple of students up to the task of leading the chant 2) The rest of the students ACTUALLY KNOWING the chant
  7. I like this one ... My only reason as well Please do a make believe example for me please. Last game of the year, UCF is 0fer in conference and playing a team we're tied with for the division title ... WOW... I think you pulled out the single only circumstance that I would root for them not to lose (instead of rooting for them to win ) ...Except a similar circumstance... in which they are 0'fer and playing an OOC game vs a team that we are tied with going to a BCS bowl
  8. I will root for UCF to lose every single game 50 - 0, and lose to USF 100-0. Every conference has/needs a bottom-feeder, and I root for UCF to fit that role in the NBE
  9. Bulls Win!!! Comeback from a 0-1 Michigan goal right after the half to a 2-1 victory!
  10. You forget their "the ref's/TV announcers/weather/water boy/grounds crew/game ball/parking crew were conspiring against us and cost us the win" excuse.
  11. Had a thread on here earlier about that. If memory serves me correctly, the sound problem was the entertainer's equipment, not the Sundome ... THIS! A good read about it: http://www2.tbo.com/...back-ar-428405/ Sun Dome manager Trent Merritt acknowledged sound issues but said the venue wasn't at fault. He said good sound starts with the equipment and the engineer behind the soundboard. "The audio for concerts is provided through the show's traveling sound equipment, never the venue's," he said Tuesday. "The tour's sound system comes in with the show. The No. 1 misconception people have is that the equipment belongs to the venue. It doesn't. It belongs to the tour. "Unfortunately, when the artist onstage was ripping the audio system, he was actually ripping his own audio people and the tour system." The tour had a new engineer behind the console Saturday, said Gary Guidry, president of G-Squared, the Houston-based promoters of the Fresh Music Festival, "We have great sound equipment and a great guy from a sub company; he knew the equipment but he didn't know the songs. If every button isn't tuned perfectly, it's not going to sound good." Guidry said. "My regular sound guy, within the first two or three songs, he could get it right."
  12. THIS! You should definitely contact someone in PR/Athletics and send them this pic to go along with their "Dream in Green and Gold" promotions
  13. Good question. I lean slightly towards FAU. Not sure why, I just like the look. It has nothing to do with my distaste for UCF lol. Seriously. I like their stadium a lot. Maybe it is the palm trees. FAU was based on UCF's stadium. The general design is the same: The exceptions is capacity in that FAU didn't enclose one end. FAU stadium seats 30,000. Brighthouse fits 45,000 Since both are based on the same design, they each can be expanded up to 65,000. However FAU upgraded theirs: Brighthouse has 822 club seats, 24 luxury suites, FAU has 6,000 premium seats, including 24 suites, 26 loge boxes, 1,000 premier club seats, 4,000 priority club seats Plus FAU's stadium is decorated in a tropical theme and will be the base/"jewel" of a matching new athletics district And that my friends:
  14. For comparison: UCF's indoor facility was $4.3 million in 2004. Yes, but UCF's is also pretty shabby compared to what we will build for ours. Don't get me wrong - it's still more than we have and thus an advantage for UCF. But it was built like their stadium - in a rush and out of neccessiry. They call it "The Oven" because it's so hot and is also the place where Plancher died of exhaustion. When USF will do it we will do it well. That was my point
  15. For comparison: UCF's indoor facility was $4.3 million in 2004. Of special note... average construction costs of 2011 (latest year) are actually LOWER than 2004.
  16. Yeah, as if drinking by students at games isn't already an issue. But if its OCS, it would be banned anyway like the rest of the state schools. http://www.usforacle...83#.UCBsUaPIAhI They sell beer on campus and at the Sun Dome. (Not sure on the new baseball/softball/soccer arenas, but they used to.) There is no way they won't sell beer at an OCS http://www.campusdish.com/en-US/CSS/UnivSouthFlorida/SunDome/ArenaFoodBeverage.htm
  17. Yup I believe last time was when someone here posted the pics of the new uniforms/helmets that their wife send them via phone from the women's clinic
  18. lol I love it how Smazza keeps surprising me with stupid posts like this. (Edited for grammar)
