  1. Um, ok. Miami having no interest to change conferences seems to be relevant to the current topic, IMO. Think he was referring to Bull94's reply to you
  2. I remember reading an article about a stadium being built in Allen TX for their high school. I believe the new stadium holds 20K. Compare that to the powerhouses in our area (Armwood, Plant, etc) which probably hold around 5K. Yup... $60 million for the High School stadium! ...UCF's stadium was $55 million http://www.businessinsider.com/check-out-this-60-million-high-school-football-stadium-in-allen-texas-2010-4
  3. Meh. Its ok. Based on our average growth rate during the 6 years mentioned... Our revenues will soon catch up with their current numbers......... .........on 2024.
  4. Oh schnizzle.. http://floridastate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1364755
  5. lol.. its cool. I don't get affected/upset by message boards. Its funny those that get pissed/upset off over what someone posts on an online board or take it personal. PLUS.. we're family (Bulls Country-wise)! How can we not try to jab each other???
  6. Yes. Only Gate A was open. But that was only part of the problem. The other problem was families deciding that just outside of the doors was the best place to meet up with graduates and take pictures. I had the same issue at last years graduation at the forum. +1000000 Plus STUPID RETARDED Frats/Sororities deciding to group together in circles right outside the forum entrance and do their dumb chants. So people would be forced to see/hear them I just walked through their groups and pissed some of them off. (This is from my graduation at the Forum) Dude, did a fraternity guy nail your wife or something? Your hate for social FRATERNITIES (not "frats") is apparent, so its funny how you judge every person the same based on a group they are apart of. Its ok man, you were an independent in school, nothing wrong with that. You just missed out on a lot of things. But saying people in fraternities/sororities are stupid and retarded? Ignorant. No. My GF is smart enough not to ever stoop so low. HAHAHAHAH Your ignorance... great comedy Oh.. and re-read my post... I didn't say all frats were stupid. I mentioned SPECIFICALLY the ones that decided to stand right outside the main exit of the forum, where there was no room and security/forum workers were telling everyone (including them) to move and not block the exit. Yet they decided to do so. so yes.. THOSE FRATS/SORORITY groups were STUPID/RETARDED for doing so.

  8. This dome is clean. **** That means they're going to comeback pissed
  9. Not sure if all of these updates were brought up before (I know some have): - The main entrance has moved from the southeast corner to the southwest corner, allowing easier access from classrooms campus and more available parking. The new entrance will include a ticket office and team retail store that will not only operate on event days, but also on non-event days. The team benches have moved from the north side of the court to the south side. - A student entrance on the northwest corner of the building, near Champions Choice dining hall, opens into a student section on the west baseline. From there, students can make their way down to the floor and into the 1,500-square- foot “Student Club†under the stands, which features couches, televisions, refreshments and music while students wait for tipoff. - Fans in the student section will be nearest the visiting team’s bench, meaning opponents will have to play offense and shoot toward the student body in the second half, a choice that USF staff made along with Populous, the architecture firm that designed the new interior. - The new Sun Dome will also include a roughly 6,000-square-foot Arena Club located 10 rows away from the court that offers a stand-up bar facing the event floor and a full liquor license. On the south side of the court, 10 seating boxes will allow fans to order food and drinks via iPad to be delivered to their seats. - The second level seats in the old Sun Dome were retractable, meaning when the rows were expanded the space behind them was useless because of cross struts and bars. In the new Sun Dome, the second level seats are permanent and the space beneath accommodates a full concourse. Students will have a dedicated concession stand with “student-friendly pricing,†according to Scott Glaser, associate director of Athletics for Facilities and Event Management. The concourse will feature seven concession stands with four TVs apiece that show digital menus as well as game feeds from the event floor. The south side of the concourse will also feature a visual history of key dates in the history of USF and the Sun Dome. - The court is brand new and uses the same type of wood and basket stanchions the men and women’s team practice on in the adjoining Muma Practice Facility. The four video boards from the old Sun Dome are being reused in the upper corners of the arena, with four additional boards making up a four-sided, center-hung scoreboard. - Global Spectrum, an event management company, was hired by the University of March 20 to manage the Sun Dome and book performers. Global Spectrum also manages college arenas at Miami, South Carolina, Southern California, Central Florida and Temple, as well as professional sporting arenas such as the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
  10. Their hoops arena is awesome .. The outside and surrounding area is really nice.........was a bit let down by the inside though............felt like I was in a hotel walking into a seminar or something. Didn't feel much like an arena. I was just going by looks ... haven't had, won't ever have, the pleasure of seeing it in person. I posted a pic in the Sun Dome renovation thread The outside of UCF's stadium looks great, I admit... but the inside... its a complete letdown. It looks like they spent 75% of the project cost on outside looks. Mind you when a game is being played... 75% of the shots are on the inside. Decided to look it up and post it again:
  11. Are they not going to paint The Corral vb court walls???
  12. In my opinion, this rendering completely conflicts with the purpose of an indoor practice facility and I hope money isn't wasted on this. We need a completely enclosed facility to continue practices when there is lightning and terrential down pours. I LOL'd Then I saw you were serious, and I cried. and LOL'd again. I am a big boy and can take the well deserved jabs. All I can say, with my tail between my legs, is that at least I can admit when I am wrong. I give you MAJOR props though for admitting and taking it like a man We've all had similar lapses of judgement/thinking.. I know I've had quite a few
  13. I have a question Something we MIGHT be overlooking. DW specifically said "big enough to house an entire 120-yard football field but also give an indoor practice option for other teams like soccer, softball and baseball during inclement weather" I think we may not be looking to build a standard rectangular facility. Baseball is going to require something a bit wider.
  14. In my opinion, this rendering completely conflicts with the purpose of an indoor practice facility and I hope money isn't wasted on this. We need a completely enclosed facility to continue practices when there is lightning and terrential down pours. The rendering is accurate and you can't see it the rendering, but half of the roof is glass. It's a huge costs savings in lighting... and still protects from rain and lightning. Not sure if you're joking or not... but no the roof wont be 1/2 glass This is a rendering with the roof cut away so you can see how the field looks like on the inside when compared to the outer view Look at the inner rendering released at the same time: There will be a solid roof on BOTH sides. The center beam will be elevated to allow windows on both ends of it (which you can see one side of it in the "cutaway view" And in this inner rendering, you can kind of see how the center is raised up

  16. Not really solid....it has a corrugated metal exterior with exposed insulation interior....much like their WOK, it was done on the cheap to just get it out there. The one in the USF illustrations would be another tilt-wall design, similar to Muma center and will look much better. This! UCiF's facility is CHEAP. Even the AC system doesn't work right... it's been given the nickname "The Oven."
  17. Why is there a Beef Stud on the wall? Do they EVER paint up for basketball games? There were a couple that painted up in games I went to in 2010. Don't remember seeing them any other times Want to know how many games they did this year? 0 Because they've learned that fans don't show up so much on BB TV games If it doesn't give themselves attention, they wont bother.
  18. From the Sun Dome FB: Interesting... a Bulls Store by the front entrance... NICE!
