  1. Clearly you don't play or watch much football. You don't play with fire like that. It's probably as likely that you turn it over. Draw plays work well in that scenario often.
  2. This isn't a mystery. Taggart did more than run in the middle to relieve the pressure.
  3. Uh. 3rd and 24. On your own 30. With 3 mins left in the half. With a QB very out of rhythm. Draw play it everytime.
  4. More like where is the post, the slant, the cross, the mesh. I could go on and on.
  5. The only reason the corner dropped that interception is because Flowers through a torpedo into the dirt.
  6. Have we thrown a single slant, crossing route, or anything in the middle of the field? All Houston has to do is play the sidelines with their DBs and middle of the field with their front seven. We're insanely predictable.
  7. Yes. This. Also, I think UCF is overrated. When Houston is clicking they're the better team, IMHO. I expected them to be clicking today. Defensively they certainly are, so far.
  8. I wonder what studies have shown regarding Vegas' accuracy in predicting the winner based on a spread.
  9. We'll still win the conference and represent the G5 in NY6. Losing this game still leaves us in control of our own destiny. The reason we lose? 1.) They're going to successfully move the ball on us. To the tune of 30+. 2.) We're going to have trouble moving the ball on them. We're not getting 300+ yards rushing. QFis not a vertical passer that Gilbert wants him to be, and our OL isn't going to get enough push to dominate on the ground. Hope I'm wrong about losing. And, I very likely will be if Gilbert calls a different game than he has been the majority of the season.
  10. No. Really to think otherwise, is idiotic at this point. But yes, I am saying there's a chance that he'll make idiots of the naysayers. And, I think we'd all be fine with that.
  11. God, this thread getting bumped made me think DJ was injured. Again.
  12. Like we've cleaned up the blocked kicks and penalties?
  13. Burke has had half a season to repair the special teams problems, and have his TEs be relevant. I pray we move on this off-season.
  14. Auggie saved our 30-point streak. Gilbert's offense couldn't get us there. #runitupthemiddle
  15. Sorry, but didn't he lose his starting QB to injury? Do you think CCS would be undefeated right now with Kean?
  16. With SDSU losing there's no reason to care about an undefeated matchup against UCF. And it's arguably worse. I want no part of them being hyped more than us because they're more highly ranked (an undefeated UCF definitely jumps us). I want no part of this undefeated Black Friday matchup that's in Orlando where UCF will be the darling because they're at home. To the layman seeing the CFP for weeks we don't just take all the mindshare UCF had accumulated for weeks as being the top ranked G5 team when/if we beat them. I hope they get a beatdown from Navy. I hope Memphis and Navy go undefeated the rest of the way and we have a great CCG. I could care less about the War on I4 as far as UCFs rating. **** them. I want all the glory for the whole season and unfortunately our SOS wont let that happen if UCF keeps winning. So, I have to hope for a UCF loss. And so should you.
  17. Let me put it this way. Hypothetically, say UCF beats Navy next week and they jump us in the ratings. They'd then stay on top of us until we played, most likely. That's 5 weeks of them being the G5 media darlings that we lost out on. We don't magically just gain all that "best of the G5" perception back after beating them. It's akin to USC having to vacate a national championship. It didn't magically remove their perception of greatness as a program those year(s). I'd rather they lose to Navy and stay far in our rear view perception wise. We don't need any "help" getting the NY6 game now that SDSU has lost and CFP isn't happening. There's nothing good to come out of an undefeated Black Friday matchup for USF, only the American conference. Besides, no-loss USF vs. 1-loss UCF is still a compelling matchup, it's not like the American is losing much there either.
  18. I disagree. Depending on how long they jump us for, the mindshare gained over that time doesn't instantly disappear because we ended up on top. For N weeks the perception would be that they were better than us. I'd rather we're considered better the entire season. A 1-loss UCF is still ranked at the end of the season and a compelling matchup.
  19. Did I miss where Murphy did anything in the NFL? Raymond is a notch above him easily. His career was cut short, but dude was a pro bowler as well in Minnesota IIRC.
  20. The crowd was so much better than we've seen in a long time. Was this 43k announced or actual? If actual it was very close to BE days, which is super encouraging.
  21. UCF might jump us by Black Friday if we both remain undefeated. Just saying.
  22. Also, Webster is coming into his own. He's one of my favorite bulls ever. As is Nichols
