  1. There's no reason this should be here. WTF man? As for why I clicked, I figured it would tie into his previous USF comments somehow. But, I guess not. Move this. Old man river apparently thinks he's above the other forums (not including recruiting).
  2. I don't know if this is because of injuries or never getting the football IQ. Hope he puts it together and stays healthy.
  3. Shaw should be splitting carries with Murray. Murray got too many carries tonight, and he was averaging something like 2 ypc less. It showed.
  4. I disagree that our coaches are good for where we are as a program. Holtz has clearly shown to be in a "good 'ol boys" network. Look at our garbage OC and our middling DC. I'm mildly optimistic about Cosh but his history isn't great, meanwhile. our do-nothing OC has been crap since he got here and was never good at ECU. He must give Skip good fellatio or something...
  5. If 40-7 is kicking teeth in, then 34-13 is pretty **** good too. At which point you should STFU. If you remember that Wofford game though, it was about as pretty as this one.
  6. Woolard is to blame for this dumb game. I guess the BE culpable as well. I'll blame Woolard though, he took a home-and-home with freaking Ball State and we have to go to Nevada? Dude just isn't a great scheduler. I'd rather have a cupcake at home than be stuck into a very bad situation for our first conference game. That's partially on the BE/ESPN for scheduling a BE game as our 3rd game, but if we had a home game there'd be no problems. I don't particularly give a **** of the result @Nevada. I do care what the following game result is. This is a ridiculous (partially avoidable) predicament to be stuck in.
  7. Bull94, gee, been watching for 3 years, eh? Hell, that same year, we "struggled" against WKU (35-13) in their first year of FBS level football and managed to beat FSU 2 weeks later. We didn't exactly kick Wofford's teeth in either when we won 40-7. I agree Skip doesn't have the killer instinct, but them hanging around wasn't a result of that. Maybe of us being "vanilla" but sadly enough, I think what we saw is what we'll get. (Looked pretty similar to the calls last year.)
  8. At least the guys will be focused against Nevada. (Hopefully they weren't focused tonight, if they were, we're F'd...)
  9. That's a pretty asinine statement, he laid the smack down in OOC play last year and it didn't net us anything; same the year before. JBK looks improved. I don't really have confidence in him though, we'll see next week under more pressing circumstances...
  10. Is NBC a realistic possibility? Will all members sign a GOR?
  11. Our defensive back depth is pretty weak, and our back up LB's are young, unproven. Our defensive back starters are weak (looking at Baker specifically). I'm not concerned about backup LB's, between Barrington/Lanaris/Lattimore/Juene/Cliett/etc we should have a very skilled LB core out there most of the time. #2 CB and D-Line depth is what I regard as our weaknesses. BSU shouldn't really test either.
  12. ^^^ touche, hadn't thought about it that way.
  13. I was watching the Ball St with 597 yards of offense and 320 rushing against a FBS school (check how may in the prediction contest have 600 yards against a FCS school). And I worried about USF having the same attitude you have, or that Auburn had against USF or FSU against USF or Kansas did against USF, or WVU did against USF when they had a NC shot etc. going into that game. BSU having an offense, particularly a rushing offense against a lower tier school where line play becomes more apparent, doesn't scare me. Neither does the 20+ points they allowed. If East Michigan dropped 20+, we'll double it. BSU might have more offensive success than anticipated, but I'd be more scared if the 320 were through the air; or if it were on the ground against a good front seven. From what I watched, I didn't feel like their offense attacked areas that we're weak in.
  14. If we somehow go 12-0 and don't make it because Pitt and Cuse go 1-11. I'll take those odds expecting the latter as more realistic is all im saying.
  15. Yes. In fact, I traveled hundreds of miles to witness that debacle in the stands. Point is, we moved the ball against them (339 vs. 250) just not between the 20's. I'm hoping we'll overcome that problem this year. UConn didn't show they've overcome their (same) deficiency though.
  16. If we had this guy instead of potato head the past few years we probably wouldn't be in this predicament. He's exuded more business acumen in the short time he's been around than potato head did during his entire tenure What a joke he was, he should be sued in civil court.
  17. +1 Me too Once they get to conference play, yes, but we still need their SOS. No, "we" don't unless you plan on playing for the National Championship this year. If we win the BE we'll be the last choice of the BCS bowls and that's the end of it.
  18. a. Why is a UCF vs. Akron game on our main board? b. While I watched (first half) they were completely overwhelming Akron. That "other" Ohio team next week should instill some reality though. Games that are worth discussing: - I'm not sure which Ball State game you were watching, but I'm not at all afraid. - Watched first half of UConn, they looked like crap. They only had 1 offensive TD in the first half (1 DEF TD, 2 FG's). Temple is the only relevant game for us tomorrow. BSU/MSU should be good though.
  19. zZzZZZz... another mediocre kid commits to one of our programs. We shouldn't be in a position to be forced into taking this kid, or the FAU transfer. I know we all are loving Heath 8 months after wanting him fired, but I'm still not sold. Antics like this keep the confidence level, I suppose.
  20. Sorry buddy, "woah" is slang. Which, you just used some slang yourself in the post above when you said "ain't". Ain't is a colloquialism and contraction for "am not". Woah is also a colloquialism predominantly used in Internet slang. I'm done arguing this.
  21. What's a woah? OK, grammar police. Meet grammar nazi. I suggest you talk to someone interested in language, because that word is a colloquialism without a "right" per se. Granted, "whoa" is more accepted. It's similar to the Oxford comma not being right wrong. That is "Apples, Bananas, and Oranges" vs. "Apples, Bananas and Oranges" are both considered "right" by various parties. But, I digress. Prestwood would be foolish to go to UCiF.
  22. Then, guys like Moise Plancher and Ben Williams should be your favorite, if you're merely searching for overachievers. (I don't mind that metric for a favorite FWIW.) Whether they ('07 bunch) reached their full potential or not, they were the best team we've had arguably. Hence, my picking of the face of the bunch. Grothe.
  23. Was going to buy, but shipping is ridiculous. Will try to grab it when I go down this month. Nice shirt.
