    I agree. Also, I am somewhat worried that they are not 100%. Especially Mack. I know how hammy's can linger.

    I hate this game. I think it will not be fun to watch unless we take control early. I am not even saying we will lose but stopping the triple options sucks. You summed it up here.

    I am not sure Navy will be a test for Flowers. He is not facing the triple option and they are not the toughest D he has faced. It will be a test for the team and the D for sure.

    I am sorry if I missed your point. I think what I am responding to is the line above. Every league has teams that will struggle to win 3 or 4 games a year. If you are saying our bottom dwellers are worse that the bottom dwellers in other leagues I would agree I guess. I think leagues get measured on their top teams no? We are not one of the top teams anyway so I am not going to complain about it until we are.

    I agree with everything you said but that part can't be understated. I have sat in the stands every week with my buddy and we just cringe the whole time. We have a great time hanging out and playing corn hole and stuff but the game has been brutal over the past couple of years (as we all know). How exciting is the Temple game going to be if we beat or play Navy close?

    If you could choose which one would you rather have start the rest of the year? Unfair I guess since this is basically QF's first year but I would easily pick Grothe. Grothe was just as slippery but was a better passer. BJ is a great kid with a cannon but he was not the leader and he made some poor decisions. I am not sure "leader" is the right term and I don't want to slight BJ but there is something about Flowers that impresses me and I can't put my finger on it. He is more humble? IDK.

    I am not sure how you can't see the difference in the last 3 games. They are playing better. Even when they won games in the past it was painful to watch.

    This sums up what I am seeing. I think he showed real leadership. We were not losing that game if he had anything to say about it - as it turns out he had a hell of a lot to say. I have heard this as well. First read and run. What happens when they feel he is ready for two reads? This goes back to what a lot of people we saying when discussing whether or not he should be the starter. If he was close to his competition back then and was only a sophmore (where Bench is a senior) why not find out if he had growth potential. It turns out he did and still does.

    The only thing I've seen that was unforgivable is the famous Bench momentum killing incident. Think about it. Flowers was just starting to emerge into the guy we have now and we sat him. CWT nearly lost me for good over that.

    In the post game they said that he was instructed to do the first read. If it is not there, take off. I could have misheard them. I think we are winning because of QF. Say what you want about how it is getting done but I ask you - what is the primary difference between how they are playing now vs when were losing consistently? I will say it is the play of the QB. I don't care if he is carrying a pocket watch on the field to do it. His legs buy us more rest time for our D and more TOP for our O. The more he is out there the more game time he and other players get and I would argue that his passing has improved because of it.

    Yea, I think this sums it up. I think we may have turned some kind of corner. I am not saying we are ready to go on a Memphis tear (yet) but I think we all might consider adjusting our expectations for game outcomes. The team seems to have turned the corner on the winning attitude thing - maybe the fan base should follow suit.

    One of the things I am see that I have not heard anyone talk about is our red zone efficiency this year. I don't know where to look up the stats but we must be really good. Last night I don't believe we were inside the 20 anddid not come away with points. Usually a touchdown. Anyone know where we rank for that?

    you know something? You're absolutely right. We're playing some really solid ball right now. If that were to happen I wouldn't want to be a crow living within a 50 mile radius of Tampa Florida.
