  1. Don't know if Vinik charges for that ad or not. If he doesn't and he moved it for additional advertising revenue for the playoffs I'm good with that.
  2. At least it is there but would be nice to get some national pub through most of the game.
  3. Did anyone else notice that the USF ad was missing on the sideboards at the Lightning game? Different rates for the playoffs?
  4. What? A projected Top 10 picks walks everybody and you blame the coach? Oye. The kid may pitch himself out of the Top 10 though.
  5. 1. Going back to the first game I attended, it was a Halloween night vs Cinci in '03 (maybe?) and Selmon Jr intercepted a pass in OT to clinch the victory. 2. A dropped pass in the endzone by a tight end at RayJay vs Rutgers, possibly in OT. 3. A missed short field goal @ Rutgers as time expired that would have won the game. We lost, I believe, in OT which ticked me off so much that we shortened our trip and didn't go up to Syracuse the next week where, of course, we won. Rutgers seems to be a commonality in these bad things.
  6. Yes it did. As I go further along in my life I remember only a play or two of certain games. The first quarter of that game is what I remember. The Notre Dame game, Kayvon's runback of the fumble and the weather delays. L'ville circa 2005, Amari's kickoff return and I believe he threw a pass for a TD. Auburn I remember missed FGs and the last pass to Hester. Funny, the McNeese State game I remember the first offensive play that went for a TD. The first play of the Skip Holtz era (don't remember the team) was a WR screen that he told the women at the camp that he was going to run and it went for a TD. This could be a fun separate topic. What play or plays do you remember from various games? We will all recall the fumble forward and 4th and 24 but other games might be interesting.
  7. Unless he's wearing a shirt that says I'm Rodney Adams, I don't think I could pick him out of a lineup of 2.
  8. Well, the year I drove 5 hours one way to take my early teen daughter to see an N Sync concert and sat in the last row of the arena behind the stage I declared myself Father of the Year. And I didn't even have a shirt.
  9. You could have claimed it that year. But like UCF, if you didn't win any games the year before you could/should not have made such claim.
  10. Weren't they the only team in the country to do that? I don't love that school over there but they had a great year and can claim what they want.
  11. I defended John today at the WBB banquet. A fan was complaining about something to do with her WBB tix. I asked her to go easy on him and be patient since he's about the only one there doing all of the ticket switching for football. John is the best.
  12. Okay, our expectations, based on predictions, left us to feel that the team didn't live up to the expectations created by the predictions. When we beat Auburn, FSU, WVU, L'ville and ND I don't believe we were favored thus we felt pure joy. I'm happy to be the underdog and feel that elation again.
  13. You don't worry that Rideau shoots less than 40% from 3 and about 55% from the FT line? Lang's numbers aren't impressive either. But I haven't watched them play. Don't get me wrong, I hope you are right but I don't know if they'll be any better than Martin/Holston.
  14. You haven't seen them play a game. Why do you "like" them?
  15. I understand what you are saying. But I'm fine being picked 4th. Being picked 1st did nada for us last year.
  16. Being favored, in big games, has never worked out for USF - in any sport it seems. I guess softball made it to the CWS.
  17. Got our call right at 9am when it was scheduled the first day. Just a note to those waiting. With the turnover in the Bulls Club, John Lewis is handling a lot of this stuff. Charlie made the call to me but then John and he both spoke with me. They are going by either donor or priority point order. We wanted to move back to get further under the overhang. They had some room but there was 1 seat interfering with moving all 6 for us. So they called that person (who wanted to move) and then Charlie called me back to let me know that we were a go. Moved from Row U to Row Y.
  18. I'd rather have it like this. Being favored last year didn't really work out for us.
  19. I normally would agree with you. Hang in through thick and thin. I guess I could buy a cheap seat package for MBB but to go back and buy our former seats is a lot of money between seat donations and ticket prices for what you get to see. I think I may be suffering from USF athletics burnout. For a few years we would make almost all men's and women's BB games, all home and 1/2 away football games, and 40 - 50% of baseball games. Just feels like it is getting to be too much and have only made about 4 baseball games this year.
