  1. Working on his left wrist...went into the locker room...USF punted...ball at the 19
  2. Says he got hit hard and injured his non throwing hand/forearm
  3. Listening to the call online... still hasn't started...hope this Army game is done soon!!
  4. -Says we haven't been able to win games when we are not playing well so he was proud of the team finding a way to win when there not playing well -White was working on his fundamentals this week and doesn't have to play like he has to win the games he has other weapons. Doesn't need to rush throws etc. -Maryland will play hard, they are athletic but we match up well, and they play simple ball -Mack is still the same not changed after the game he is in his own world. He gets along well with everyone and all the backs get along well.
  5. Based on what? Lol! Definitely sums up a lot of opinions on the board.
  6. Looks like IncrediBULL and are on the same wavelength, though I am specifically talking about the Willie Taggart Radio Show which is indeed still being produced. http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=208806354
  7. Last year Lmshaffe did an awesome job putting the Willie Taggart Show up on soundcloud for us out-of-towners. Show of hands to see if we can get Lmshaffe to do it again for us this year!! I think we should put this bug in Harlan's ear as well and these should be podcast by USF for everyone who may not be able to catch the show. I get enough request for donations so maybe this is an area of improvement for better fan engagement and alumni relations
  8. Its easy to see how Tice WOULD be the starter. The RB position requires a lot more than just running the ball and Mack is a true freshman. Expect the offense to get much more complicated requiring good blocking from the RB and a thorough understand the playbook. I think Mack deserves to start but I expect to see much more of Tice if he can go. I hope that Mack is a quick study b/c he is fast and it would be awesome if he could continue the trend! That said, I think Tice is much more of a bruiser, also a special back, and most likely knows the playbook better which is why he got the nood in the first place. Tice and Mack will make a great 1-2 punch.
  9. I suspect Mike White will have a much better game. He has shown he can setup up for big games in the past. If he doesn't react well in the first half though, I think Coach T should give Bench a shot. My hunch is you will see White look much more like the 3rd qtr QB of last game which is what we should all expect from him at this stage. Managing the game, making good throws, moving the chains, and taking care of the rock.
  10. Interesting read. As a physics researcher though I liken this article to social/behavioral science article. It hard to make strong correlations with so many moving parts. For example while the Ravens did not have the greatest passing game in Flacco but he made the plays necessary to keep the chains moving. More importantly is and was the dominate defense. Another that should hit closer to home for Tampa fans is Brad Johnson and Tony Dungy's defense. For college ball, I think strong Ds and good clock management are key, and why running is so critical.
  11. I honestly don't get the Maryland love. I understand that we aren't exactly world beaters but people act like Maryland is a top tier team. they aren't. I wouldn't be surprised if we hang with them. unfortunately that means everyone on here will start to think we must be top tier if we can hang with the almighty Maryland. Ha, so true. I think your asking for a rational non-alarmist reaction Carolina_Bull, which is atypical for any type of media nowadays While I wasn't thrilled with USF throughout most of the game vs WCU, I do believe they turned it up and back down in the third. Maryland will no doubt have better athletes than WCU, but WCU executed there game plan better than many FBS schools I have seen this year (anyone watch the Pitt vs BC last night?) There are many positives to take away from last game and the team definitely look much faster. Receivers were open, return of the Mack, and defense was flying. We will be able to tell how much of an improvement as we play better competition. Go Bulls!!
  12. Another article from Terp Nation: http://www.testudotimes.com/2014/9/6/6112647/maryland-football-south-florida-predictions Call me crazy but I think the QB situation is going to look much better today. While it's rational to try and stop the run today for Maryland, I think they will sell out and the Bulls will be able to capitalize with some TE packages for quick throws and large YACs. Also looking forward to seeing Tice mixed in. While I think Mack deserves the start, from what I saw from Tice, he is also a special power runner. The offense will be much more complicated today so expect to see Tice in more often for pass protection and some routes. Also I expect to see the D to look much better. The 3-4 is a very versitle package that requires a strong nose takcle and lots of looks from LB play. I think if you watch the WCU game, you will see Coach B was lining them up mostly at home, making them react to the ball, which is not how the 3-4 is typically run. As he stated i think he wanted to see what his D could do. I expect to see many more good looks from the D, tight coverages, CB and LB blitzs, and the bubble screen shutdown Go Bulls.
  13. I was impressed by the secondary last night. I have seen UCF light some teams up. Coverage was tight yesterday save a few plays.
  14. Agree. Been a while since I have seen a good D and lots of great play from the Frosh. Of all the coaching hires he was up there on my not sure list at the beginning of the year. Been pleasantly surprised. Keep up the great work on D coach!
  15. I think a better recruiting win would have been...a win
  16. Wanted to chime in here since we discussed it in the chatroom as it was happening. Yes we don't get in the red zone often but you have to realize what your team is and the risk you are taking. The call was not good at that time in the game. You were up, your D is playing well, and you were just stuffed with a 3rd and 1. You kick the ball get your 3 points USF 9 UCF 3 with less than 5 minutes on the clock; maybe even into the half since they have to drive the field afterward. If you get the first down great! but you could also just end up kicking a closer FG who knows. If you, o lets say, fumble the ball from the center you lose momentum and give UCF decent field position. Assess the risk...that's your job as HC.
  17. Besides the O, my concern is UCF's speed. We have not done well against fast teams this year.
  18. There have been some improvements from last year to this year. But my worry is about the rigidity of CT and his offense. For example when pre-snap shifting is costing huge yardage and scoring opportunities maybe u should show some common sense and cut the **** out; especially when u are on your 1yrd line.
  19. Missed the last game...but White looks ok in this game. D looks good. I am hopeful the O will get something together in the second half.
  20. Was at Freedom Tower today teaching my nephew about the sacrifices the brave men, women and their families make for us. GB.
