  1. ECU 21 VT 0 UCF 10 MIZZ 7 UCONN 3 BOISE 7 (with UCONN looking better than Boise) Rooting for the AAC to do well this week.
  2. We had 3 scoring drive opportunities last game for 63 yds (TD), 57 yds (FG), and 44 yds (miss FG) with some key drops throughout the game. Bench looked good in the second quarter. With first team snaps I expect him to look much more comfortable and I am sure they are drilling him to stay within the system and himself. I think he gets overconfident, can make bad decisions, and can lack mental toughness but those can be corrected with coaching and practice. I imagine them sitting him down and making him watch his film and going something like this: -1st qtr we threw you in and you had to settle but made some decent throws and receivers didn't help ya with those drops -2nd qtr you settled down and worked within the system and did great. -3rd qtr you got bit anxious -4th qtr you forced too much, made bad decisions, and got outside yourself I don't know if we will see White go, but if he does he needs to be 100% ready. From the first game he was tight and nervous. I can't imagine him playing well with an injury that was severe enough to pull him from the UM game since I believe most of his hangups are around confidence. The flashes that I have seen from White when things are clicking, he has thrown some of the best ball I have seen from any QB at USF. Quick, decisive, feet planted, good arm strength, and good mechanics.
  3. For reference here is an excerpt for my UM game prediction last week: "... I expect to see the D to look much better. The 3-4 is a very versatile package that requires a strong nose tackle and lots of looks from LB play. I think if you watch the WCU game, you will see Coach B was lining them up mostly at home, making them react to the ball, which is not how the 3-4 is typically run. As he stated i think he wanted to see what his D could do. I expect to see many more good looks from the D, tight coverages, CB and LB blitzs, and the bubble screen shutdown :)"
  4. Lots of unrealistic expectations (and maybe drunk posting lol) but there is no way you can look at this team and not see the talent. The play calling looked the best I have seen in a while during most of the last game, just execution wasn't tight. I predict this will be the game where we get to see the CWT offense come together with Bench or White at the helm. GO BULLS!
  5. I would like to see a little more of White and Bench before making that decision. Taking into account last season, somehow I still see more upside with White than Bench. I thought seeing him this game would help me make that decision and unfortunately IMO Bench did not do enough to cement himself as the starter. I saw similar type of bad decision making as I did last year and that doesn't bode well... Looking forward to the next game though maybe Bench will show some progress now that he will have a full week of first team reps.
  6. Spot on. Looking forward to the rest of the season and hopefully getting rid of some trolls/unrealistic expectations...
  7. You know where I saw a huge improvement...receiver. Particularly when it comes to separation. Last year we couldn't get some separation to save our life. Today receivers were open all day. While there were many drops in the first half they did much better in the second. Problem was the QB play dropped in the second half :/ If we can get those two clicking at the same time we might see some really good output.
  8. White was 1/1 this game lol Bench is running the offense not making the play calls but I agree that if I have a worry with him it is his decision making ...sometimes seems to be a bit overconfident
  9. I think there have been some nice flashes on O. Especially considering last year and the year before and the year before that lol
  10. I can't tell bc the coverage happened in NY during the Terp a TD pass..
  11. Quick to jump the gun there Torro...a couple drop balls but the QB play seems to have gone way up. Still early
  12. So it was Todd Chandler that got that fumble recovery it was Byrd that knock it lose
