  1. Sounds like the perfect formula for going Independent ..... Who's with me?? 2021 Bulls football schedule (FBS independent) @Bikini Bottom U College of Sesame Street (it's okay, we got them on a home and home) @Washington State Purdue (headliner) @Toledo @UNC-Charlotte North Texas (Homecoming!) Tulsa (a legacy throwback to our days as rivals in the powerhouse AAC) Navy @UMass @Townsville A&M FIU (rivalry game)
  2. "signature win" = beating unranked bunch of FSU froshes 13-10 who are still getting into game shape for their eventual 7-5 Belk Bowl campaign. Huge victory, bro!
  3. Can we all admit something right now here and now? USF is one year away from their third coaching change in 7 years. USF squandered an enormously rare opportunity to accelerate the growth of the program, maybe by decades, in the weakest BCS conference with the most favorable of scheduled opponents, an unhealthy national media obsession, and an unjustified average home attendance that resulted from the perfect storm of winning-starved bay area football fans. Yet we choked, spectacularly, and it has set us back those decades I mentioned above. I for one am at peace with it. Hopefully you all get there one day.
  4. The right quarterback can make all the difference. Hope he steps up this year. http://youtu.be/s71b5Pae4AI?t=33s
  5. He's basically the Bullspen equivalent of a Fox News viewer.
  6. The stupid! It burns! I'm hoping 1990 is his birth year and he's 25 or so. Then I can chalk this up to youth. If 1990 is his grad year from USF, that means he's in his late 40s and there's no coming back from being that stupid that late in the game. I'm 24. Honestly what age do you stop getting the excuse of 'youth' when it comes to reasoning and common sense? It's not like he was on a YOLO adrenaline high and jumped off a building or robbed a store. His mind is structurally deficient and he can't even be bothered to look at recruiting rankings or learn something new about basketball. Moron.
  7. Forget the uniforms, can we have that player back? Lmao, beat me to it. Ugh, Taurus Johnson. Come back. Watch the whole thing.
  8. A y f k m. Our fans are literally the worst and we should close athletics if any but a small brainless percentage are keeping company with these kinds of thought.
  9. ******* those are fresh. We need to wear these every game. I remember we were supposed to get the iconic U on the helmet as well but something fell through at the last minute. I would literally pay athletics if we wore a variation of this every game.
  10. I am actually a minister of the church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. $25.00 http://www.venganza.org/ordination/ I want this.
  11. Pastafarian University. Praise "His" Noodley Appendages. What existing holidays can we usurp for tba fictional events?
  12. Stay strong Chris. We don't want another Bradley Mosley situation (RIP)
  13. Kind of wish all this was happening next offseason. If you know what I mean..
  14. I don't care how much money we lose. No retreat, no surrender. We averaged 50-55k for a few years and the upper bowl was born for USF football. It should never be closed. No backsliding. If we have an empty stadium or a sparse crowd, it should include a sparse crowd in the upper deck. We own it.
  15. If you had asked me 7,6, even 3 years ago, I'd have said 50-60k and been completely validated in saying so. Today I'd say 40 to 50k and just as valid, factoring in declining football attendance and taking into account our potential realignment or lack thereof. Here are some interesting concepts for reference: http://www.astroturf.com/alabama-state-to-debut-new-astroturf-field/ FCS Alabama State (although for how much longer who knows) built a better looking stadium than UCF in everything except capacity for $62 million. I think we could probably recreate this for 40k with a nice berm for another possible 5-7k for less than $100m. Husky Stadium in Washington just underwent a massive renovation and is one of the mentalest environments to play in if you're an opponent. http://www.acec-wa.org/images/HartCrowser2014UW.jpg (we could mimic this at maybe 2/3 scale and get the same acoustics for competitive advantage) Speaking of loud: Baylor's McLane stadium is always a point of discussion in these threads: http://mediad.publicbroadcasting.net/p/kwbu/files/styles/medium/public/201408/IMG_1500.JPG Other obviously high D1-caliber stadiums without the unnecessary capacity overreaches: TCU's OCS Houston's OCS (Yes please. We can do this and it would be responsibly priced and sized. Break ground now) Cincinnati's (check the renderings) Honorable mentions (but maybe beyond us at this point) PJCS (UL) TCF Bank Stadium (Minnesota)
  16. That's what the fight song is for. The national anthem really should only be played at international sporting events and really, really big national sporting events ... Que? Pretty sure all my life starting with high school games that they've played the national anthem? That's a lot of years ago. They played it at my hs school games, too .... which was probably even a lot more years ago. Just saying that, IMO, it's a tired, waste of time, old tradition at EVERY sporting event imaginable and should be used primarily for international and large scale national sporting events ... Dang, that looks pretty bad when I write it down, but it's just a pet peeve of mine. My daughter's been signing it at MLB Spring Training games in Jupiter since she was 9. Crowd's tend to like to start the game...but as you might imagine, these crowds are full of baseball fans (old & young), who are fairly traditional. It's been a great experience for her, and a chance to high give some amazing players (but she knows none of them...not a sports fan). Congrats, that's a pretty high honor.
  17. That was intense. I watched it earlier today, hard not to take inventory of your own life after you see that.
  18. We just lost a QB prospect to our dumpster-fire former HC who, by the way, is outperforming our program at a lower level with less at stake for the program. Wonderful. This is as bad as it gets, Bulls fans.
  19. What a joke. I always bash people for secondguessing recruiting prospects, but with choices like these, it's like recruits go out of their way to not pay attention to what's best for themselves sometimes.
