    I agree with your feelings. I understand that Thed had grade problems, but unless he missed every signle class and was failing I just don't understand ending his senior season 3 games early. Yeah, sure. Why do they need to ever show up to class? This is a university, not like some place where they are supposed to get an education or something...

    Has Ryan Moore been permanently kicked off the team? The last I read Coker was talking about playing him, even though he was still waiting to be arraigned on a FELONY.

    This morning. Mike Golic talked about the BE having three teams in the Top 10, and that South Florida team is sitting there at 7-3. Small mention, but every little bit helps!

    The "u" doesn't necessarily have buckets of money to throw around. The athletic program is already $15mil in the red, they need a few mil to buyout Coker, and they started a facilities upgrade a few years ago that they never finished. They need big donations to hire a big name coach.

    Plancher was ahead of him on the depth chart because the coaching staff knew Ponton was going to be suspended. We'll never know who the coaching staff really thought was better. With Plancher coming off knee surgery, we have a long way to go until we see who the primary ball carrier will be next season. Don't forget Aston Samuels and Keely Dorsey. They could work themselves into bigger roles next year as well.

    By comparison, JJ Reddick, Orlando's pick at #11 was inactive for Game 1.

    15 man roster, 12 actives for each game. Guys 13-15 are injured, or developmental. Very similar to the NFL setup. Unless the Hawks have some injuries, being Active puts him in the top 12. Great accomplishment for a non-first round pick.

    Very few sports programs have kids games on Sunday. Since we have the occasional Sunday afternoon soccer game, I can tell you it doesn't work out that well. People have to work around religious obligations, and homework and projects that are due on Monday. Saturday afternoon home games mean fewer families attending. As stated elsewhere, however, it is a necessity and attendence will still increase with increased exposure.

    First of all, why not wait until the 6th loss before posting something as stupid as this? That's right! If we go 7-5, the 11-1 predictions here will have been proven to be much more accurate. :

    Look at where the vote totals are coming from. Texas 95% Caris. Obviously, someone over there has a serious, organized effort going on to get the Sun Belt some pub.

    Let's not throw ourselves into a tizzy. The fact of the matter is that we have one of the youngest teams in D-I football. No amount of coaching is going to overcome that. The consistency you seek will come over the next year or two as the players mature. In the meantime, we have enough talent to pull off the occasional upset to offset the occasional upset loss. Patience, Jim, patience.
