  1. She did respond about the FIU vs Miami punishments. She said that if you look at what each player did, the Miami punishments are "equivalent" to the FIU punishments. As of a few days ago, she still had not seen video of the brawl.
  2. Try Firefox. Caris Tschauner (Sun Belt) 69,047 Heather Stahl (Big East) 64,692 Liz Southall (ACC) 49,531 We've been hanging 3-5000 behind for a while now. Distancing ourselves from Ms ACC. May be turning into a two horse race. So to speak.
  3. Just checked the schedule, it's on there. http://hd.espn.com/hd/
  4. It isn't on HD? On the BottomLine today, our game was listed with ESPNHD as the channel.
  5. No BCS, but it could still make a difference in bowl decisions or *gasp* if we get close to being ranked.
  6. That would be great, and I agree Pitt isn't yet quite as good as I thought. I think we are the better team the next three weeks, but we could trip up along the way. I figure one loss in the next three is ok, because I still have dreams that we'll win one of the final two games.
  7. I would guess that attacking a post is always ok. Attacking a poster is not.
  8. Looks like they need to have the seamstress remove two letters from one pant leg...
  9. Just a quick tidbit as I caught a few minutes of the UCF game on the radio. The announcers were talking about the Rice QB, who was running a passing through the Knights. One of them said, "He reminds a little me of Grothe from USF." He is making an impression against every opponent. I have a feeling most college football fans will know him before he's done playing for USF.
  10. 3 - 3 early in the second quarter. Now we can all talk about what would happen if UConn wins. Then an hour or so from now the thread will die off once WV pulls ahead by 21...
  11. We're slowly closing the gap. A little over 3,000 votes behind now...
  12. The incident will hurt Miami recruiting, but not in a big way. Once Miami hires a new coach to replace Coker, he will act like a strong disciplinarian and the parents fears will go away. I still can't imagine anyone other than Butch Davis getting the job. He cleaned up the program once, and hasn't gotten old in the meantime. If he takes over, they will probably have a net gain in recruiting over what Coker would have done.
  13. A one thousand vote lead but a long way to go. A new challenger from the Sun Belt. I hope she passes the ACC chick, she's better looking. Of course, not as good looking as Heather. ;D
  14. On www.gousfbulls.com they always list game notes of the upcoming game. It hass LOTS of great info, including the 2 Deep and a list of who started the past games etc. Gerdes does a GREAT job ! A must for a BULL fan preparing for each game. It is pdf form. Excellent! Thanks, ET.
  15. Is the current two deep available somewhere to review?
  16. A few things to consider, ksquire. First, as ET points out, FIU punished their kids more immediately and severly. Second, this Miami's third incident in the last seven games. (Even forgetting the more distant past) Finally, Miami is a big name program. If it were FSU, Florida or USC, the reaction would be just as big. You don't mind getting more attention than FIU when things are going well, do you? You can't have it both ways. One other thing that bothered me more than the fight was the big post-fight celebration by the Hurricane players. Getting in a huddle and jumping up and down proudly was worse than the heat of the moment brawl. If I were Coker, I would have been sending happy players to the locker room one by one until they realized they shouldn't be celebrating a brawl.
  17. I saw an angle during lunch that I hadn't seen before. In the new (to me) angle, the player that swung at Peattie did so after Peattie had his arms wrapped around the player for several seconds and wouldn't let him go. I wonder if Peattie was trying to hold the player back, or trying to start something.
  18. I bulleive that the thin and inexperienced line hasn't been as effective stopping the run, thus we have blitzed less often than in the past. Hopefully that changes with Julmiste and Clerbert returning.
