  1. Although, if you just put your mouse over the top, you can see the link without actually pressing it.
  2. Too late. I already pressed it. : I just had to find out what it was...pretty funny. ;D
  3. Maybe they were faster and stronger than us, and only good coaching gave us a chance to win. Nah, that can't be it.
  4. Darn, for a while there I thought I was the most knowledeable member of this board...
  5. the best one we can get And you do not think we are doing that : Of course not. We had Ponton and Plancher, so the coaching staff decided to recruit lousy running backs the rest of the way, figuring they make better scout team RBs. We have a boatload of freshman RBs that aren't playing yet because they don't know the blocking assignments. In our offense, the RB better be able to block or the QB gets killed. In time, I expect that Dorsey and Samuels will turn out to be fine RBs. It takes time to build depth. Miami didn't win the national championship in their first year.
  6. In the spread offense, blocking from the RB is huge. If we routinely had a FB or TE to do the blocking, it wouldn't be such a big deal. In our offense, the RB is the only guy that can help the O-Line on a pass if there is a blitz. If Dorsey can't block, he could get Grothe killed back there.
  7. that's because you're a moron I can't wait for smazza to respond...
  8. Yeah, but you gotta admit the pink feathers are scary. :
  9. Say what? USF's opponents are 4-9 Rutgers opps are also 4-9, oddly enough Lousy, but a far cry from 1-17
  10. I know this is off topic and expect it moved, but I thought this was big news for Tampa area fans. According to ESPN News and several websites, Chris Simms had his spleen removed after today's game, and lost a lot of blood. He is currently in critical, but stable condition at St. Joseph's hospital.
  11. This link might be better. http://www.tbo.com/sports/bucs/MGB9OO53ISE.html
  12. No one can say the kid doesn't have guts... http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/sports/football/nfl/carolina_panthers/15599873.htm?source=rss&channel=charlotte_carolina_panthers
  13. Congratulations, Ari. Master of the obvious! That doesn't mean the run-blocking is good (though I think it is). No, the QB play has improved 10 fold from last year. He wasn't that bad last year, and isn't that great this year. Finally, we agree. Not Top 25, but we'll win a fair number of games.
  14. I saw the instant replay and his knee was certainly down. We also got ripped on a couple of pass interference calls. Oh, and the "pick" (offensive pass interface) that wasn't nearly as bad as other picks on both sides and wiped out a huge gain in the 4th Qtr.
  15. I guess UCFers don't understand that football and basketball are different sports, with a different number of games.
  16. You forgot Jim Leavitt is a lousy head coach and Rod Smith is a lousy Offensive Coordinator.
  17. At my daughter's middle school game last night (12-14 year olds), one girl dislocated a shoulder and another went down with a bruised kidney. I'm not sure which one is in worse shape, but I am sure that soccer is a very physical sport.
  18. I'm thinking this UCF band member was defending himself to UCF fans that have been ripping them. No need to reply.
  19. I have a few midi's from a practice CD from last year... max and I are going to see if we can convert them to cell phone ring tones. Of course... this is pending our ability to do it and release approval. That would be most excellent! Is this starting to feel like a real college football program?
  20. Why don't we worry about trying to get to 4-0 first? Kansas on the road is no sure thing. We don't exactly appear invincible at the moment.
