  1. It has to do with someone that posted, then unregistered. The mods can usually fix this, when one happens by.
  2. Nope. Tyrone is the ISU LB. Jermaine McKenzie may be a guy we're still hoping commits to USF, though.
  3. If you go back up to the top of message boards, you can find the thread. Or at least another one with similar sentiments.
  4. Carlton Hill. Former QB who went to Pearl River JuCo this year because of grades. Expects to be back in DI next year, possibly returning to USF.
  5. Great day! I think Gregory is the #2 QB. If C4 comes back, I doubt he's at QB. Can someone fix the Ford thread?
  6. Reputation goes a long way. Seriously, FSU and Miami are still loaded with talent. If the voters believe the coaching changes are positive, either or both could start the season ranked in the 20's.
  7. Wow. First, that's Miss Tennessee, not Miss USA. Second, I don't know why anyone cares if someone takes an interest in ensuring we don't act like hooligans. That would be a good thing, if you guys were actually attending your classes of higher education. Finally, Billy then throws it all away by using vulgar language on a public board while representing SG. This board sinks to new lows by the day.
  8. Get that boy some titanium protection for those shins!!! ;D
  9. Why shouldn't he change his opinion when a team proves it on the field? Was last year's 6-6 record supposed to show we were a great team?
  10. i said this months ago a top qb is not going to sit 3 years at usf behind grotheeee Only two years if he Redshirts. Most QBs sit for two years at big time programs. FSU got two huge QB recruits in the same year two years ago. Competition doesn't scare competitors, only those who are afraid they aren't good enough.
  11. Our O-Line was being moved around all year because of nagging injuries. Starting RB out for year. D-Line, interior was so banged up we had to use Harris' RS season in 2006. May not have been as bad as FSU, but we don't brag about the depth as FSU does. O-Line moved around much more because of inexperience than injury. Ok, Plancher was out, but he isn't a star player that we know of. We only had a couple of D-Line injuries. Harris was used more because of lack of depth Exactly, we don't have the depth FSU does, because we haven't had the loaded recruiting classes they have. That was the point of the entire thread.
  12. We had a better team this year, but not better players. We certainly had the best QB, but not overall team depth on the 80 man roster. FSU and UM had coaching and injury problems this year. We were relatively injury free. FSU in particular was decimated by injury on the defensive side of the ball. They had their top six DLs out for one game. If they bring in quality coaches on offense next year, they will still be ahead of us. UM I'm not so sure about. I believe there are some infrastructure issues there. Their stadium is lousy, facilities need work and they don't have the money for facilities or coaches. There is enough talent in the area to make it work with good, young coaching staffs, but they will need to keep replacing them. Meanwhile, FIU and FAU both expect to have new on campus stadiums. I could see either pulling talent from Miami in the next few years.
  13. Sure we can. ;D Besides which, for a true rivalry there needs to be a reasonable chance that either side can win. At this point, we win 9 out of 10 times. It can't be a rivalry unless UCF can pick up the pace.
  14. It will be tough sledding to get into the Top 25 this year, but I don't think all those teams need to lose in order for it to happen. USF is riding a wave of good pub right now. As for next year, I don't think it is unreasonable that we could start the season in the Top 25. Everyone knows we have a very young team that is losing very little. Some other teams (Rutgers) will take be graduation hits, so we could sneak past them. We are on the radar. We need to win at least 9 regular season games next year to finish in the Top 25. Yes!
  15. I must say that I agree with JerseyPirate about stupid threads like this one. There is no need to act like Miami fans and call their opponents losers. It's ok to laugh, it's ok to talk about how badly we're going to beat them. EZU = losers sounds like a thread one of my daughters middle schoolers would start. I realize the mods on this board condone this type of behavior, but I wish some people around here would act like college educated adults instead of children.
  16. No doubt we were playing conservatively, as we should have been. I'm sure we would have opened it up a bit more had Grothe still been playing, but probably not much. I know ECU moved the ball some, but it seemed like we could have played another half of football without giving up a TD. No need to try risky pass plays.
  17. Bret's work is out there for everyone to see. Every minor detail may not work exactly as intended, or may offend someone for some reason unknown to him. His job isn't to paint a beatiful world of green and gold. It's to report the news, and sell newspapers. If hundreds of people followed you around all day at work, I'm quite sure there would be plenty of criticisms that people could pick apart. Be thankful you job isn't in a glass bowl like Bret's.
  18. Why not the 2007 class? RS next year, then be ready to start as a Junior. That's the way the big time programs handle it.
  19. Suspending 3 starters for 6 games/half the season. Coach didn't have a choice...That was an Athletic University rule if an athlete FAILED 2 Drug Test, they HAD to be suspended for 50% of the teams games (6 games in football). Leavitt, Woolard, etc...were able though to change the new rule for all drug tests starting in last Sept...and if any USF Football player that fails 2 drug tests now, they will only miss 2 games, instead of 6. UCF's RB only got one game for the same offense. I guess that's a higher form of discipline.
  20. Do I recall correctly that some of USF's "non-qualifiers" met NCAA standards but not USF standards? If so, are USF's standards higher than UCFs?
  21. We have two injured point guards that are supposed to be back soon. We have a 7 or 8 man rotation right now, if one or two get back healthy it will make a huge difference.
