  1. "Learn to win" is a platitude It's meaning is nebulous and is uttered by those who lose. We need to execute better. That comes from coaching up players or getting guys that can do their jobs consistently. It appears that we can't do the former and are and have been working on the latter. It's getting better, but I don't think Taggart's going to put it all together. The next guy will be set up to succeed out of the gate.
  2. Brad, The contrast between the light gray and white isn't really stark enough. It makes everything more or less blend together without any boarders on my monitor. Is there any way you could darken the light gray boarder lines and the light gray shading on the threads?
  3. So, why get all hot and bothered about the program and the staff. Harlan knows the situation. The rest of us know the situation.
  4. I remember reading an article about some program that had been averaging under 8,000 actual fans per game for years and was in no real danger. It's a bylaw, but not enforced. It's easy to distribute 15,000 tickets a game
  5. Thanks, WWMJD I got a fleece and a nice polo using that very code. Also found a nice jacket on ****'s that I got as well.
  6. Where's a good place to get USF apparel on-line? I live in Buffalo, NY and want to get a couple of new jackets for the fall/winter. I don't like the 2 options on the bookstore website. Thanks, Brian
  7. USF is still fine this season. We're on pace to achieve our goals (a bowl game). We absolutely need one game from Maryland and Syracuse. We didn't get Maryland. Now we need to beat Cuse. Memphis is going to be a real challenge and a probable loss. If we lose to Cuse and are 1-4, then the season is busted. We wont win 5 of 7 to finish the year. 4 and 7 is still a stretch, but possible. Tough road ahead, but doable.
  8. It doesn't matter and Flowers is a sophomore who can develop with playing time. Bench is a better passer, but not really a better all around QB. If he is better it's incremental or he'd be playing. There's no reason to develop him further as this is his last year. I don't see a problem using him situationally to get him some playing time, but he's not the future.
  9. Why do you feel the need to lie about what you're eating? What a strange thing to try and call someone out on... Go Bulls!!
  10. 1. Will USF beat Maryland tomorrow? Absolutely! 2. What do you think will shock you about this team performance tomorrow? If I think something will happen, how can it shock me? 3. What food plans do you have for the game tomorrow? English Pork Pie 4. How is USF going to shut down Likely? We don't and he'll doing something amazing against us. It wont be enough. 5. What other game are you looking forward to watching tomorrow? Chelsea and Arsenal (Will help pass the time in the morning) #COYS
  11. I'm honestly hoping he sits out this year and has 3 years of eligibility starting next year. With or without him we're fighting for a bowl game this year. I'd rather have him playing 3 years from now more than now. He'll be better with a year out in the system.
  12. The plastic red chairs have been nothing but cordial the last few seasons.
  13. The new waiver rule is supposed to come into effect next year. Woulard was theoretically able to get the waiver and play this year. I have a feeling, if he get it, they might apply next years policy and give him an extra year of eligibility. They may not approve it until the end of the season for that very reason.
  14. Taggart coached the spread in high school? I did not recall him ever coaching in high school. "Remarkably erratic" might be a stretch, I'll agree with that this is an exaggeration on Ryan's part, though it could still prove to be true. "Other than QB, the 2015 offense is better than the 2009 offense" - Seriously? The team was 118th in offense last year. First, what evidence have you seen to even state that the 2015 offense is in the same stratosphere as the 2009 offense? This is a HUGE exaggeration/extrapolation on your part. Secondly, saying the offense is better except for the QB is like saying my car is faster than yours except for the engine. Again, while I really like where out defense seems to be headed, I think it is a huge stretch to believe it can stop FSU as you seem to suggest. I don't see this being a Top 20 defense this year, or even reasonably close. Ryan's assessment is far more reasonable. You really have the green and gold glasses on thinking we can go toe to toe with FSU athletically. Even you only point to our offense, not defense or special teams. You do realize that both sides of the ball will have to play on Saturday? Did I say "coached?" No, I saw he RAN the offense. Ryan said that CWT had "literally" no experience with a spread offense. That is literally not true. The 2009 offense was the BJ Daniels show... where he accounted for almost 60% of the yardage ... because we had no running game (Mike Ford and Mo Plancher...). I would say the 2015 offense will be more balanced because Flowers is NOT as good as Daniels... but the 2015 offense, while younger, will out perform the 2009 version. Only time will tell on that. USF will have a Top 20 defense this year. The 4-2-5 system will be outstanding against almost all offenses we face... and I think it holds up well against Jimbo Fisher's system. And finally, yes -- the USF defense can go toe-to-toe with FSU. (Not on offense, I will concede)... Which is why I don't think FSU will run away with the game. No one has questioned this yet? So I'll do it. If there was a line on this in Vegas I'd take the over (greater than 20). I'm guessing we won't be in the Top 30 after tomorrow. So, it isn't the end of the season but here is the standing after week 2. We are at #65. http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/1042/p2 For what ever reason that link is for the full 2013 season. Here are the current standings for total defense after week 2: http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/22 USF is number 45
  15. Computers agree. Sagarin has FSU as a 26 point favorite
  16. Yes, they would fall to #20 +/- 3 spots unless they get totally trashed (they wont)
  17. I've witnessed MHver3 poop there, but I'm not sure it's swanky enough for a Texan like TuxedoYoda. I mean, he does wear a Tuxedo.
  18. The question is objectively absurd. But the answer is a resounding NO. FSU would fall to #20 +/- 3 spots and USF would get a enough votes for the top 30. Unless we steam roll them like we did FAMU (we definitely wont), we wont get ranked by squeaking out a win. Now if we're sitting at 4-0 I could see USF at 23/24/25. That said, I'm confident we can beat the spread, but we're not going to win.
