  1. I'm as down on Taggart as anybody, however I don't like the move. Either pull the bandaid all the way off or leave it in place until you're ready to yank it off. Has any program fired both OC and DC at the same time? Usually, one side of the ball is deficient and you try and fix it. Can't recall both fired at the same time and HC still there. Then again this is USF....
  2. Should go to a fan that had to sit through this crap
  3. Listened to some of the coaches show last night. You can tell Taggart fully believes the way out of this is to recruit. He mentioned nothing about philosophy or trying to do things different. He believes he needs better players. While I believe we need to upgrade the talent level, I also think the coaches need to self scout themselves and see if they need to change and do things different with regards to scheme, etc, I heard none of that. It was all about recruiting and competing. He is one stubborn SOB. Muschamp was the same way. He brought in 3 different OCs and nothing changed because he was the problem. It cost him his job and will ultimately cost Willie his. We unfortunately have to sit by and watch the carnage unfold until we can afford to fire this clown. Anyone fired up for the 2015 season?
  4. Just get a ham radio and call it a day. Yep. As we slip further in to the black hole of irrelevancy.
  5. ThisHe coaches?no, but he can't seem to pick them eitherAnd gave Holtz a contract extension after a 5-7 season. He hired bad coaches and stuck us with long term debt on dead coaches salary. Which coaches has he hired, for all sports? for football he hired both holtz and taggart for basketball he hired heath don't know about the other teams....but do you consider those all good hires? so he's what 1 out of 3? And gave Holtz an extension after a 5-7 season.
  6. Unbothered. Looks like someone told GOL they were picking up his bar tab.
  7. And looking at his wins at WKU: 2010 One decent win and the other in OT out of 2 wins that season. 2011 Two OT wins, 1 one score win out of 7 total wins. 2012 3 one score games (3 one score losses), 1 OT win (and 1 loss in OT) out of 7 wins. So 8 games his last season were 1 score games going either way. His teams At WKU seem to not be able to win decidingly about half the time. I believe Willie was a prop 48 player coming out of high school. I don't think he's got it between the ears to be a good head coach. Running back coach is probably as high up the food chain as he should be.
  8. Perfect ending to a nightmare season!!!! We have sunk to all time lows with no end in sight and they keep winning. UGH!!!!!
  9. You guys didn't miss much. Taggart's on the road recruiting so he was on by phone for about 20 minutes. Lots of soft balls by Mark and Jim and Taggart kept talking about recruiting and competition. Nothing about coaching or tweaking the system. He is terrible and hard to listen to. The did have Marlon Mack on for his first interview. He did pretty good even thought he seemed a little nervous.
  10. Not to derail the thread but how do you embed the entire video and not just link? Couldn't figure how to do it. What UAT did to that program because the Bear's son got his panties in wad over something that was said to him is reprehensible.
  11. Check out this video. I feel so bad for those players, coaches and fans. UAT is at heart of what's wrong with college athletics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAvSuQEh6lI
  12. Game over. Good night folks. Tired of the SEC circle jerk
  13. Yes. Sad to see Beth go. Hope the 2nd half of the season picks up.
  14. There was no adjustment by Taggart to the talent level he inherited. It was Taggart ball or bust.
  15. Starting QB is Cody Clements a JC transfer http://www.uabsports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/cody_clements_913751.html
