isnt usf a bigger school? why shouldnt usf be embarassed? USF is now the 9th largest school in the Nation: Top 10 as of Fall 2006: 51,818: Ohio State University - Columbus, OH 51,234: Arizona State University - Tempe, AZ 50,785: University of Florida - Gainesville, FL 50,402: University of Minnesota Twin Cities - Minneapolis / St Paul, MN 49,738: University of Texas at Austin - Austin, TX 46,719: University of Central Florida - Orlando, FL 45,487: Texas A&M University - College Station, TX 45,166: Michigan State University - East Lansing, MI 44,038: University of South Florida - Tampa, FL 42,914: Pennsylvania State University-University Park - University Park, PA Latest updated info about ECU: East Carolina Enrollment Fall 2005:  23,164 It seems to me that there's only one of those top 10 that doesn't play in a BCS conference... Anyhow, USF is a bigger school, but it's possible that there are more people who have passed through ECU's walls, it having been around longer. I couldn't find any numbers in my short, half-assed search, but it's possible that more than just the size of the University comes into play here. Edit: We quote 195K to their 120K.
