  1. I'm in my Bulls green for St. Patrick's Day... in fact, I have very little green that's not either Bulls or Eagles gear.
  2. I think what's most egregious here isn't that some folks "dared" to get upset about the possibility of Amarri leaving, but that this action was taken because he said in his facebook STATUS (perhaps THE most fluid field on facebook) something which, in the second-hand transmission (as most people on this board didn't see it on facebook) led the audience for whom it wasn't intended to raise the alert level to orange. Now I will say that a constant lesson for college students, particularly high profile ones, is that that which is posted to facebook is viewable to more than the frame of reference they may indend, but that's what we in the biz call a teachable moment, not cause for crisis, nor a judgment of character. What was the immature part, his joke or his b-boy stance? By the way, I overheard Johnny tell Sue over by her locker that Steve said yesterday that he didn't like Sally's dress. It's the same daggone thing. LittleDrummrBoy is HOLDING HIS NUTS SAYING CALM THE EFF DOWN!
  3. The University of Delaware Blue Hens are also in the tourney as an at-large from the Colonial, but Del State's the Hornets.  And while, as a Delawarean, I give both teams love, my full and undying support in the women's tourney goes to my alma mater, UMBC!!
  4. Delaware State, not Morgan State, won the MEAC title. Copping lost in the semis to the Bears. Respect the First State!!
  5. I don't understand how a simple statement made in his FACEBOOK STATUS, likely intended for his friends (or at least his Facebook friends) is "small town ignorance" and a testament to his character or lack thereof. It seems it was us (the BullsPen community) who made it a big deal, not him.
  6. Coppin State Eagles, non-football member of the MEAC, located in Baltimore, MD.
  7. I'd rather see it USF Gold (PMS 4515) on Green... yellow's no longer one of our colors.
  8. Best of luck--it's your job to teach the state of TX that [smiley=GoBulls.gif] means GO BULLS!
  9. Fantastic, every more reason to give coaches to not want to come to USF. We get an opportunity to host something and we cannot because of an outside event taking place, what a joke that is. Is there another Big East school that this would happen to? Roughly half of the arenas in the Big East host outside events or share their facilities with someone else. Whether the rest of these arenas hold every possible hosting opportunity (which in basketball is pretty much limited to the NIT since NCAA sites are predetermined) I have no way of knowing. It's possible the Sun Dome folks operated under the (unfortunately erroneous) assumption that we'd be NCAA bound and made no point to hold NIT dates.
  10. Some of my best Random Acts of Bull recently were seeing a kid (like school age) in a Bulls jersey waiting for the bus here in North Carolina, and seeing a guy in a Bulls hat in a bar when I was home for the holidays in Delaware. Both got enthusiastic "Go Bulls!" and horns.
  11. From what I've heard, ACC ended up in Tampa because F$U threatened to fly (back when their football was dominant) if the basketball tournament didn't come down to Florida.
  12. Let's beat the brakes off Quinnibiatch... me and that school go way back.
  13. It's rare I stray from the USF Athletics Board, so my apologies if this has already been mentioned, but is anyone who's still in Tampa taking in the ACC Tournament this week?
  14. You know there's a little slow up there, Bulliever.
  15. Agreed, with the thrill of true March Madness. I now live in the basketball-mad state of NC, in the city of Greensboro, home to the ACC, the ACC women's basketball tourney, and the Greensboro Regional of the NCAA Women's Tourney this year. Got the opportunity to see the best women's conference tournament in the nation this past weekend, and this coming weekend I'm headed East to Raleigh for the festivities of the MEAC tournament (though I'm just going to the step show, not any of the games).
  16. Any knowledge as to the design of the new drum major uni's? I'd love to see them in white with green/gold trim instead of all black...
  17. It's got the top 10 in his group listed (well, apparently they used the Big Ten model because there are 11) and the lowest of that group is a 4.60, so somewhere north of that.
  18. He was great. At the conference (National Association for Campus Activities) each speaker has roughly 20 minutes to give a portion of their presentation to entice programming boards to bring them to campus, but certainly the snippet I saw would make me want to come to his full presentation.
  19. Wow... small world--I just saw him at a conference this past weekend!
  20. My two cents: I think it's weak-willed to change favorite teams every time you move. When I lived in Tampa I did not magically become a Bucs fan; now that I'm in NC I'm not magically a Panthers fan. If you live somewhere for an extended period of time, I can understand becoming a fan of the new home team (note I said "becoming", not just choosing) but I won't begrudge you the choice of the team from your old home, your new home, or anywhere else for that matter, as long as their YOUR team. As far as college teams, I personally think you should root for your alma mater above all others, unless they compete at different levels; i.e. if I've always been a Tar Heels fan and I go to Pfeiffer (DII), it makes sense that I keep rooting for the Heels in DI competition (although I think you should also support your team). I believe in undergraduate institution above all others; Y'all know I'm ride or die for the Bulls, but if and when the time comes that they compete against my Dogs, you better believe Ill be there in black and gold. That's my thoughts on team loyalty. YMMV.
  21. Plus, they'd come in at I-AA, in the home state of the 2 time national champion Appalachian State Mountaineers.
  22. I caught wind of this from one of my fraternity brothers down at UNCC. Having attended one school and worked at another with no football, I know how loud the whining can get, but I would think for their situation, especially here in the state of NC, they'd be wise to stick to basketball.
