  1. Showing 40% chance of rain in Miami that day, so if that stays the same it probably won't.
  2. I'm not saying it's going to be a blowout, but your point of 'running all over your defense because your defense is suspect at best' is kind of our point. I don't know what happens in this game, but WKU doesn't score 44. We run the ball effectively and that takes away time of possession. It's what we do. I think WKU will have to hold us to under 27 to win this one.
  3. Cool thanks again, just had another USF Alum commit to flying in for the bowl game and he lived in the Miami/Brickell area for a few years. So, we can use your suggestions plus his to come up with something. We are probably going to take that Calle Ocho district suggestion. Ironically, I've been to the Clevelander on South Beach for New Year's back in 2010. Pure craziness.
  4. Thanks for the advice. Some fellow USF alums and I will be staying in Fort Lauderdale and will probably Uber in. You said there are some restaurants close to the stadium. Does that include bars? And are they walking distance? We are going to have a group of 6 or 7 and thinking of passing on the alumni tailgate since it only includes 2 drinks.
  5. I'm going with a group of five alums. Flying in from Dallas, and two others are flying in from Atlanta and Birmingham, and two from Tampa. Go Bulls.
  6. Bold, my friend. I think we are good enough to beat WKU, but betting on USF -14.5 is cray cray.
  7. GA, I get what you are saying and I'm trying to tell you that I literally have NO EVIDENCE. Even if there was some shred of evidence, I'm too lazy to go find it. I'm actually not part of the OCS NOW! group. I do want an OCS eventually but when the time is right, I'm just telling you my opinion. My opinion here is not based on fact, it's purely on conjecture of who I've talked from BIG 12 alums (which some are diehards and donors but none are behind-the-scenes or 'in the know') and what they think is important to their conference. I just believe that if we are negotiating behind the scenes, that the OCS being delivered within an X amount of years will be in the BIG 12 contract. Why I think this, maybe because I've lost my mind, I don't know. Also, I'm better explaining stuff in person, and I'm heading out from Dallas to the bowl game. Let me know if you'll be around, I'll buy you a cold one and tell you how I'm a bit off the rocker.
  8. Honestly, I think they care about their tradition of having schools with on campus stadiums. Really nothing more than that, I realize Pitt is in the ACC without one. I just think the Big 12 values a brand and tradition which we lack (for the most part), but I think if we agreed to build an OCS that would satisfy them if they were already interested in us. Like I said, just purely my opinion, and I'm not trying to get anybody on my side. I'm not even trying to make an argument here lol. This just how I view it living in the middle of Big 12 country and working with a ton of Big 12 alums.
  9. Sellular, this was going to be my next point. I get why you think UH doesn't make sense, but I honestly think it's Cincy, Memphis, Houston, USF/UCF in that order. Like I said, just my conjecture. I believe our invite (if it ever came) would be tied to the requirement of building an OCS.
  10. This. If they were upset, they had their chance not to return 2,950 tickets @ Houston.
  11. You're right, and they are an AP Top 25 team. Here's your chance for redemption from SoFlo friday night folks, this is Memphis Lite. Everyone begged for different play calling, let's see what happens when we get another chance.
  12. Just my opinion, but I think Cincy would be in for sure (WVU partner) and they just re-did their stadium. Basketball and Football are always solid. Memphis and Houston would be the most likely scenarios for next two. BYU is in a third time zone which will scare the BIG 12 away, and our outside chance on an invite would be tied to an on campus stadium agreement. Either way, I don't see a scenario with us getting in without the BIG 12 going to 14 teams which I don't think they do.
  13. My group probably would have been 10, that is already 1/10 of double Temple's numbers. Mind Blown.
  14. Agree with what you're saying but there was no way with 4 Florida Bowl games that we were headed to Birmingham. The only outside shot was Orlando and a PAC 12 at large team. This is good for recruiting in Miami as long as we win.
  15. @ Temple game but you are correct Former 4 star and ESPN 300 recruit
  16. Our conference games just flip home/away next year.
  17. I'd agree that they have more conference wins and that should send them to the title game as the east representative, but the fact that the schedule gave them Tulane instead of Navy in my book doesn't mean they earned it. Maybe, I'm a sore loser.
  18. I agree with Temple, but USC loves playing for Helton, they definitely will give Stanford a game.
  19. For me it's Syracuse or ECU. Cincy, as shocking as the score was, I thought we'd play well at home. ECU was just so surprising because going on the road in a big conference game (in a bad weather) has just never been our strong suit. When adversity hit, we hit a 67 yard TD to win the game. We have been crapping the bed in that type of game for 10 years now (other than @Nevada, which was a non-conference game and a complete aberration as we later found out).
  20. Are we talking 2007 defensive rules or 2015 defensive rules? If there is no targeting and you are allowed to hit hard again, I'll take the '07 defense with Wally Burnham to destroy every gap of our read option offense.
