  1. Thank you MiamiNed. I didn't know one person could bring this board together like you did this week. After what has transpired in the last month, your single greatest accomplishment in life will be that you put a fractured message board back on the same side. We always say that visiting fans are safer here than some opinionated Bulls fans, but that is no longer true. We owe this all to you. I'm sure you'll follow this up with some dumb comment that only you and the 3 other Canes' fans on this board think is funny and then say we don't get because we didn't have a $40,000 dollar trust fund and whatever else you claimed it requires to go to UM when we were 18. Hell, forget when I was 18-years-old, I wish I had realized what I was doing for the last 15 minutes when I was reading this train wreck of thread, because I will never get that time back. On behalf of all Bulls fans on this board, we can't wait until the 4th game of our rebuilding process is over because the real result takes your obnoxious fanbase back to wherever it came from, but we thank you for your stellar contribution.
  2. What time do you have to start transitioning over to the lunch menu? I'm guessing right about the time your boss comes in and sees the Barely 18 porn tab on your computer monitor. haha that's awesome
  3. I guess this means UM is back ... or at least the mostly uneducated part of their fanbase thinks it. We've played them how many times and this is the first time we've needed a dumping ground for their mostly lame smack ... although do have to give props to the Spanish posting one for originality. Amen
  4. It's because UM is going to be 3-0 and ranked going into our game. Who knows the game may sellout, but it will be covered in (banwagon)orange if it is. Their home game crowds for non-big games is worse than ours. Bandwagon? really? Absolutely. Look I'm not try to attack the UM program and you likely don't fall into that (bandwagon) category. We have a ton of bandwagon fans that jump on when we are ranked too. The only difference is you guys have national championships and a lot of football history. It's not meant as any disrespect, but your attendance is well document in different years under different situations. Some of my best friends went to UM and they would be the first to tell you the fan base is fickle. My point is you guys only travel well and fill up Sun Life when you are ranked (except maybe the in state games), which points to a good number of fans that only show up when you're winning, hence bandwagon. You can say the same about us, but we don't even have 20 years of football under our belt.

  7. Whether you agree or disagree with the firing, he wasn't canned because of what he did on the field. I think he was ... Booster(s) wanted him out because we hadn't win a title. usf never competed for a title so many horrible losses under leavitt
  8. Its a % and odds game. If you kick the PAT you have a chance at scoring again and can tie the game with a score and 2pt conversion. However if you go for 2 there and make it you are in the same boat and still have to score another TD, but if you miss the 2pt you are down 2 scores and your chances to tie are drastically reduced. Its risk vs reward. You risk everything by going for 2 with no real reward because if you take the safe/correct choice you are still in need of a TD. Risk vs Reward. Skippy is the worst coach in football! It's not a risk vs reward. He has no choice but to go for 2 on either the present TD or the next one. The next TD missing the 2 would still make add another possession. Either way he has no choice but to go for 2 eventually. What he gains or losses by going for 2 when after a TD when down by 8 or when down by 15, the consequences of failing to convert are the same. +1
  9. looked like a broken arm or wrist. id wager he is done for the year. He popped his shoulder out and had to have popped back in on the sideline. They are still awaiting MRI results.
  10. Fair game. Let's talk expectations. I expect, after months of hype, a solid team on the field, not the dumpster fire we have. I expect DW, as the highest paid AD in the (former) Big East, something to show for it. Instead we get silence, complacency. I expect a football team to have WRs who can catch passes, OLmen who can block, and a QB who can read defenses. I expect, as a diehard fan, some success after 3 years of false promises, and upwards of 7 years of sheer letdowns and disappointment. You have the expectations that would be justified IF USF was an NFL team with Free Agency and parity. I think you'd be well advised to temper your expectations especially regarding 'hype'. It's going to take a long time - something few within the program are going to say because (a) fans don't want to hear it, (b ) fans want WINS NOW, and (c ) hype = marketing and is seldom credible, and (d) it's BEEN A LONG TIME since we had any wins so the waiting becomes intolerable. What do you expect ADDW to do? Didn't he fire Holtz and hire Taggart (and you'll recall the hype around that...just sayin'). Expectations for a team with receivers who can catch, some semblance of an offensive line, and a competent QB are what we all WANT. However, here's what we've GOT. And I know that this broken record is tiresome, but until CWT can get his own players (not just a handful) we are going to have to play with what xCSH left in the stable. As for the last expectation: something after three years of false promises and seven years of in-conference meltdowns....it's going to take time. I know that sounds like a broken record, but that's the bottom line. Anyone who harbored the belief that all CWT had to do was to show up and all would be well, that we would - in his first year honestly be back in a bowl game, that he was somehow this miracle working, walking witticism factory who, by virtue of hobnobbing with the Harbaughs could just step in here and deliver ON FALSE PROMISES, and less than realistic expectations was setting themselves up for disappointment. I have full faith and confidence the CWT can get USF back on track, but that trip will not be short nor pretty. That's just the way rebuilding works. It's a process. It's a process of undoing what the previous coach did and at the same time adding your systems. +1 Well Said
  11. I'm not saying he won't turn it around but remember he played with one of the best DTs and one of the best DEs on the other side of him at ND. He had free reign to do whatever he wanted in 2011.
  12. Winner winner chicken dinner. LMAO I love this program, but I think I accidently pooped myself laughing so hard from this picture.
  13. That took some effort. I think the UCF'ers have been working on this for some time. They probably had it ready to go for November, but we gave them an excuse to use it early. Taggarts_Bus is an admitted Miami fan but surely UCF fans are working on stuff like this too... It's all setup for them this year. Home game, good QB, and we aren't very good right now. All the pressure is on them.
  14. You get points for the face change as it goes off the cliff.
  15. +1 The premise of this argument is the answer to this thread Things are bad and we got crushed by an FCS team, I get it. I, for one, have been in mourning for 48 hours and now am ready to move on from this game. There have been other teams that have lost games to FCS teams (yes I realize not as bad as we did) and have still somewhat salvaged a season. I'm not saying that is definitely going to happen to us, but this team reverted to turtling when they fell into quicksand in the 2nd quarter. It will take some time to get mentally tougher. When we give up a fumble recovery for a TD, we need to rebound by doing something other than throwing a pick six. We are lacking talent but there are certainly things that can be fixed. McNeese came out focused and executed their scheme brilliantly (oh and capitalized on turnovers). Every time I think about Saturday, I want to wake up from that nightmare, but I also think it was a lot of bad things that went wrong at the exact same time. I think we can play better than that. Along those lines, I think the keys are the D-Line needs to show more urgency and we need to move on with Bobby as our QB. Floyd 2nd int showed that Coach T didn't want to have a quick hook, but the writing was on the wall. Bobby deserves a shot after injecting at least some life into our passing game. Obviously Bench and White would prepare us better for the future but I think Bobby deserves this opportunity in my opinion. I will be at Michigan St rooting us on...Go Bulls
  16. They are likely just the white practice helmets. We have a white practice set and separate game white game helmets, gold game helmets, and green game helmets. Also, keep in mind players wouldn't see game helmets in their locker until gameday at Ray J or the applicable visiting stadium Do you really think I don't know the difference between a gameday helmet and the white practice ones they were given? Here..you judge. http://twitter.com/HemUnit/status/373112051155353600/photo/1 I wasn't trying to insult you. I hadn't seen the picture until then but yes those are obviously the game helmets. That may be an indication as players do normally pack their game bags today for tomorrow's stadium setup.

  18. I don't believe this to be true. I have a coaches shirt, from the closet, that was from Nike era and it is a dark green. My favorite polo for lucky golf days. I believe Mike's statement is true, and there are plenty of others on this board that can probably confirm it outright from firsthand knowledge. Nike has elite schools a la Oregon, Florida, Texas, FSU, etc. If you aren't in this category, you pick from a subset of pre-made colors. The confusing thing about our green when we were with Nike was it looked considerably darker during a game than what the color actually was because of the player's sweat during warm-ups. The reason we left Nike for UA was because Nike could care less about their other non-elite schools. Most non-elite schools use Nike soley for purpose of recruiting and brand-likeness for their fan base. When UA first expanded past Maryland, they were looking to poach one team from each of the major conferences, but they have obviously expanded since then. We were attractive because even though we weren't winning conference championships, it seemed like at least half of our schedule ended up on national TV every year.
