  1. hahahahaha He is so overrated. Josh Julmiste was a bigger loss. He had one great game.
  2. spring game was at 1 last year if i remember correctly
  3. We would not win those conferences in their recruiting type settings
  4. Here is some of my realistic expectations for 07: On offense, Mike Ford will not be the second coming of Reggie Bush right away. This is not some CC, it is Big East football now and these defenses are getting better every year.  We need patience and should expect Ponton and Plancher to carry the load at least for this season.  Also, Grothe will not be able to play every game, so it is up to Grant Gregory to solidify the no. 2. On Defense, expect Mike Jenkins to rebound with a great season and Trae to fall off just a little bit.  I expect us to have one of the best cornerback tandems in the nation.  The LB's will not be as bad as you think.  Aside, from Moffitt being back, Tyrone McKenzie will be the become the best transfer player in USF history...better than Andre Hall.  He is a machine.  I have met him also, he's very nice will be a leader sooner rather than later.  On the other side, Sam Miller and Brouce Mompremier are really not as big of a drop off as people think.
  5. 3 or 4 big east teams could be better than auburn next year. i think that is a stretch
  6. FAU may be lightyears behind UCF, but FIU was 0-12 this season :-/ We saw what should have been against FIU. FAU blew out FIU 31-0 granted they were different teams after the brawl in Coral Gables. Still, no excuses play like a champion. 5-7 (4-3) in the Sun Belt is not entirely awful.  UCF struggled this year and they will be playing with a new qb which may or may not be a good thing depending on the way you look at it.
  7. If you are already missing football like me, let's see what you think about our schedule. 1)  What is our toughest home game? 2)  What is our toughest conference road game? 3)  What is our biggest trap game (the game we should win, but may lose by overlooking)? 4)  Which will be a tougher game....UCF or @ FAU?
  8. I love the schedule. We travel to Rutgers and UConn early and possibly a homecoming defication on UCF.
  9. It's the biggest vacancy because Matt Grothe is on the verge of becoming the biggest star in the Tampa Bay area.
  10. If Louisville loses Brohm, Bush, Urrutia, Douglas, and some more defensive players then#25 could be a stretch
  11. Please stop blaming the date of the game. It is what it is. We couldn't sell our allotment and there really aren't any excuses for that.
  12. T. Robinson was kicked off the team with Burnett before the bowl game, Allen never played corner, and Tyller Roberts plays the nickelback
  13. As great as he is.....he has neither the height nor the arm strength to leave for the NFL.
  14. I don't think the season ticket holders should be forced to buy any bowl tickets. The ones that want to come will come to B'ham. It should be the other alumni that don't normally attend football games that should be donating tickets.
  15. PJ is the senior with experience and that is why he is our no. 2. While having many obvious shortcomings as a player, he still has the experience it takes to win games. Count on Gregory being the primary backup to Grothe next year.
  16. Allen played sparingly in the 4th quarter of the McNeese St. game.
  17. There is no way WVU, Louisville and Notre Dame are all BCS bound. The odd man out is a lock for the Gator Bowl.
  18. Ben Williams has been solid in place of suspended Ricky Ponton....Really?
  19. For this season, for this time period, Rutgers showed that they are clearly the no. 3 team in the Big East. As much as I hate them, give them credit, they came to Tampa and beat us. They are a legit offense.
  20. Gay #4? I believe Mike Jenkins is arguably the best player on our team.
