  1. I think the answer we're all looking for was literally tatoo'd on this young man. No one is promised tomorrow. If there is a silver lining, it's that his death brings attention to his message: Live for TODAY! Keeley not only had a tatoo saying as much, but it sounds like he was a living example of that message.
  2. Weren't Frey and Smith from the State of West Virginia? It's hard to compete with home.
  3. No, it's because we didn't have a consistent running back. It's called putting the ball in the hands of your biggest playmaker... How quick members of this board forget that if it weren't for Matt's legs the WVU might have ended differently. Bull****. IF Rod had pulled his head out of his rear end we would have won at Cincinatti and put up a fight against Louisville. This is the best news for the offense since Andre Hall decided to don the green and gold. Loosing Frey hurts, but Rod had to go.
  4. Raise the Bull**** flag. USF did this 2 years ago, they can do it again. RU will be on a rebuilding year, yeah they'll carry some momentum into next year, but they loose too many starters to expect a repeat performance.
  5. Urban may agree with wanting a playoff, but he was screaming for one BEFORE the Gators got the invite... it ABSOLUTELY dominated his interviews. Yeah, he may have mentioned it (when asked) in a few interviews, but it ain't like the week before the BCS selection show. So Joe, why so quick to defend Urban and the Gators? You're pretty quick to jump on the SEC bandwagon too... might you be one of those that wears a UF tee on campus?
  6. Ya'll, chill about the media blackout from last year. It was a reaction to the Trib reporter, who I will refer to as BM (pun intended) from this point onward, pretty much betraying the trust / inside access Leavitt gave him. This was in direct retaliation to the St. Pete Times sponsorship of the school. I am NOT talking about the failed drug test story, but the 3-4 bull**** articles he wrote before that (see Amarri Jackson stories, and QB battle stories). It's hard when the hometown paper is constantly stirring up the pot against you. I bet we won't see the same press fiasco as Leavitt has learned his lessons and will keep BM a little bit further than arms length from here out.
  7. USF should be ranked just inside the top 25 for this one. Look for both teams to be ranked (esp if on TV) for this game. Beat Auburn and we would catapult to around the top 15.
  8. The projected 2007 squad is shaping up to be our most complete team yet, with depth finally showing up. If RS doesn't have 1-2 head-up-the-sphincter moments and with a couple of lucky breaks, we have our first honest shot to go all the way. A Big East championship is definitely an attainable goal this season, maybe more with the right mojo. 1. USF 2. WVU 3. RU 4 (tied). UofLouisville 4 (tied). Cincinnatti 6. `Cuse 7. Uconn 8. Pitt The toughest is figuring out the Cincy-UL-RU split. Cincy and UL loosing their respective head coachs may be more devastating than RU loosing their seniors. I think Cincy will have less momentum to loose of the two teams and may surprise some people. Look for the Cards to drop like a big bird turd minus the head coach, Bush and possibly (if he's smart) Brohm. The 1970's porn star in Pennsylvania will replace Greg Robinson as the Big East coach on the "hot seat". If Wandstat blows (pun not intended) an easy one or two games early, he'll be collecting unemployment this time next year.
  9. Wow! Praise the COLLEGE FOOTBALL GODS!!! Do you think this will help sway any more big names over in our direction?
  10. What, Leavitt can learn how to be a whinny little *****? Meyer wouldn't shut up about needing a playoff system when it looked like the Gators were on the outside looking in. Funny you didn't see Meyer politicking at the beginning of the season and he even turned down interviews with Congress about the defunct (monopolistic) system. I guess he had better things to do. Funnier still that we haven't heard the word "playoff" from him since the Gators got the invite to the big game early in December. If the best predictor of future behaviour is past actions, then Meyer will bolt when the first NFL team comes a knockin'.
  11. Bowden has one foot in the grave... his program, while not getting into fistfights yet, (and I stress YET) is starting to spiral out of control. His players do not show discipline on or off the field, a problem that has been there for years. That goes all the way to the top. Add to that the behind-his-back firing of Jeff, and it appear as if the boosters are more in control than he is. You can tell in his interviews that he isn't enjoying coaching like he used to. He will have a JoePa like resurgance maybe once more, but they probably won't make the BCS again. Look for Bobby to retire soon. That will spell doom for for FSU as there's only room for one good Sunshine State team in the ACC. On that note... Miami has the best shot at making the comeback, it is Miami after all, never count them out. However, they really screwed themselves in the recruiting picture by leaving the BE for the ACC. Top high school kids from the Carolinas don't have the same incentives to leave for sunny florida as kids from the northeast do. Miami made their program by supplementing their local speed with great key position players from up north. Miami no longer plays in Pittsburgh, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia, we do. UF will remain a power until Meyer gets bored and leaves for the NFL. When you're at the top, there's only one way to go. USF has the best shot at making a huge splash next year. This is a VERY young team that seems to become more and more complete each season. The schedule isn't easy, but USF will have a shot at beating every team on the plate next year. They should be competing for a BE title, and maybe even more next season. GO BULLS!
  12. Hey UCFanatic, don't you have your own chat board in Orlando? :-?
  13. Why in the Hell would you post this question and not any photos of the SunDolls in said outfits?!
  14. Why is this even a question? Football players have the opportuinity for a college education, but most of them really aren't in college to get a degree. This is the paradox with college football, if all things were fair there would be NO college football and their would be a minor league for the NFL and kids would be paid. But alas, the world is not fair and the NFL gets all the benefits of the college system as their minor league without the financial burden. Let's not kid ourselves about the system. On that note: Unless he has committed a felony, or is getting in butt-loads of trouble, we ABSOLUTELY want him on our team!
  15. Heading into the spring, this team looks pretty complete before this signing class. This year's recruiting class hopefully will be the best ever. We'll have to wait to see who makes it through summer. The summer is the worst time for programs as boredom sets in and the kids tend to f*ck up.
  16. I thought their offer to Jimbo last time was close to 1.5 or 2 milion, wasn't it?
  17. Anyone have an address for the stadium or good driving directions? I'm thinking the $70 Southwest to the Ft Lauderdale airport special may be in order for this one. If you time it right, this is about a 1/2 to 1 hour flight vs. the 4 hour drive.
  18. Are you kidding me? Brett Bullshater Mcdouchebag? He's been pissed since the Times got the sponsorship of the Bulls. If you mean making up BS before the season means objectivity... well then I guess you're right.
  19. Arguably number 2? Are you kidding me? And just who did the Big East take a back seat to this year? No one. Arguably, the Big East is the top conference of `06. The Big East not only had the best bowl record, but also had the best out of conference record during the season. Michigan proved the Big 10 to be the season's most overrated conference with the SEC a close second. The ACC was horrible this year (when Wake and Ga Tech are your best teams, you know there's problems). Who does that leave? The Big 12, okay but nothing stands out about them over the BE this year. The Pac-10 was a one team conference.
  20. n Greg's blog he says he talked to Ford and will give us an update later about it! Come on Greg, enough with the tease! Let us hear it allready!!!
  21. So does this = $$$ ? it should in a round about way.  Crist will always keep the Bay Area as his homefront and anything good for the area he'll make sure gets taken care of. That's what you call the "Good `ole boy network."
  22. The bowl victories are proving the Big East is the strongest BCS conference this year. Who's the most overrated... well if ND wins tonight it will be none other than the SEC! Tell me again why UF deserved the NC game over Louisville?
