  1. Stormtroopers are slow, incompetent and REALLY bad shots.
  2. So before the season opened last year, they released a picture of this helmet and everyone cheered, then they proceeded to not wear it. THIS IS the USF helmet. Why is that such a difficult concept? They can wear a specialty helmet every now and then, but this should be the primary lid . . .
  3. Snyder: College football’s silly season is in full swing THEATHLETIC.COM What we’re finding all throughout college football this week is an enhanced state of coaching paranoia.
  4. Don’t make no nevermind to me, really. But it is a rather worthless effort. I just hope we can get back to the days when a depth chart is of no consequence because we already know who our best guys are.
  5. Took them 5 games last year to score a goal. Two shutouts to start this season. Let’s hope they respond like they ultimately did in 2022.
  6. 17 of the 22 guys listed at the top of the depth chart “ORs” are returning from last year. Hmmmm
  7. There was a Twitter link in my original post, but I don’t see it anymore - Keon Young
  8. Conversation starter engaged. My work here is done.
  9. Most sports cliches are junk, but the “if you have 2 QBs, you have no QB” stands the test.
  10. Well, yes, last I checked they have to have one guy start. My point is they have to stick with him and not go to some kind of rotation. My apologies if that was not clear.
  11. I know we promised only positive vibes, so I hope this doesn’t break the rule, but I wanted to throw this out into the Bull universe. If Coach Go and Joel Gordon can’t make a decision on the starting QB and stick with it, that’s a big red flag for me. They have good options. Pick one and be decisive. QB rotations do not work and I’d never consider it unless my guys had very different skill sets. Bohanon and Brown do not. I don’t care if it’s Brice Archie, pick one guy and ride. Now, here’s the amateur psychologist in me explaining why I think it could be BB. From the things Coach Go has said, and in taking him to media day, all the indicators right now point to Gerry. If Go truly believes that not announcing a starter until game time gives him an edge, then I’d be going with the other guy. But again, I don’t think GB and BB have vastly different skill sets, so the surprise factor is minimal.
  12. Led No. 11 UF 2 sets to 1 but, predictably, couldn’t finish the deal. A positive, however, that they were competitive. First time they’ve taken 2 sets from the Gators in 33 years.
  13. How long was he “committed” - a week? As soon as a bigger offer came around . . .
  14. Moreso than the result, I’m excited to see what this team looks like in the opener. Have we ever gone into a season with a team that’s a bigger mystery than this one (maybe the first one)? A head coach who’s never coached a game, an almost complete roster turnover, an offensive scheme we’ve never seen in action and an unknown starter at QB, hopefully a totally new approach on defense? I can’t remember going into an opener and knowing less about a USF team than this one. More than anything, I want to see a team that flys around and plays with energy and an attitude. We used to have that and it seems like it’s been missing for too long. Play with a big chip! Go Bulls!

  17. Pretty interesting. Our faculty are doing some impressive work with real-world applications. Here’s the latest I found . . . South Florida Scientist Says Barnacles Can Help Find Malaysia Airlines MH370 AVIATIONA2Z.COM scientist from University of South Florida, has developed an approach capable of reconstructing course for wreckage from flight MH370.
  18. He’s definitely a depth piece on the interior, but looks like he was also talking to Saint Louis, Tulsa and St. Peter’s. He made a visit to Kennesaw last year, so Coach knows him. Has 3 years of eligibility and looks long and athletic. Raw and will need to get stronger to be a factor, but I guess he can steal us some minutes in the post this year at 6-10. Watched his highlight tape - not bad - but shows him making 3 three-point shots, which must have been his only 3 on the season. I think he shot about 16% from three. Played at a JUCO in California but looks like he is originally from Atlanta.
