  1. similar to the other post about the memphis tickets....there really isn't any kind of secondary market for USF tickets these days. People who are interested have pretty much already gotten tickets. Not a huge walk-up crowd, atleast not in the $40 per ticket range. Try StubHub you might get some takers there from some OKla St fans, especially after Smart's performance last night.
  2. The URL is blending with the word Pretty on the original posters comment try this link http://www.voodoofive.com/2013/11/18/5119870/thud-an-attempt-to-make-sense-of-the-memphis-game
  3. no one saying he doesn't deserve a shot at it but I'm just saying he might want to reevaluate the market price for those tickets.
  4. I am just going out on a limb here and saying...I doubt you were able to move these Tix (especially for $40 a piece) you probably should have offered $40 for the set. There is ZERO demand on the secondary market for USF tickets at this point. No matter how great the seats are (and it sounds like you have amazing seats)
  5. yea because we just have boat loads of money laying around. I believe we have great recruiters in place. I expect to see an improvement in that area but the reality is...when you are a high school kid and can go play in front of 85K each Saturday, with top flight facilities, and a legit national title shot......there isn't much the best recruiters could do to convince these kids to come play at USF in front of 21K that we had this Saturday when 10K of those were Louisville fans.
  6. the white helmet is a great choice. it can double as a surrender flag once Bridgewater starts slicing up our secondary early in the game and we can get that running clock moving for the 2nd half.
  7. he is big and fast with long arms...we get it. but he jumps off sides way too much. he is a pro prospect as an OLB in a 3-4 defense. not as a D-lineman.
  8. Did you even read the article? The entire thing is about why he left ND and how he felt watching NDs run to the BCS last year. Almost zero mention of USF.
  9. Eveld can run? I thought he was just attempting to pick up his feet without getting them caught on the grass, of which he is only successful half of the time. He runs like he has scuba gear on.
  10. 2-4 yep, we could easily be 4-2, flip the mcneese and fau games. who would have thought. but reality is we still play memphis, and smu. our huge game will be vs UCF, sadly we will be underdogs. i have dear friends that are UCF alum, and yes, not all of them are obnoxious. just root for the team. hope that andre davis gets his head out of his ass and decides he wants to be as great as he can be. hope that our Oline wants to block. hope that our QB can think and run. sure its tough for 30 something year old people to criticize 18-22 year old kids but we aren't stoping them from getting jobs...just in the NFL. and yea Aaron Lynch- you might be the most over hyped prospect in the history of college football
  11. Huh? Are you talking about Eveld?...don't see this. You mean you really haven't noticed how many times Eveld has tripped over his own feet? I'd say atleast twice a game.
  12. I am excited to see how he has been willing to shake things up with the roster in just 3 or 4 games. he has an idea about what he wants this football team to look like and not afraid to hurt some feelings to get it done. Skip was too busy playing status quo to make those type of adjustments from week to week. I look forward to seeing what we can do with a full year of recruiting and what years 2 and 3 can bring. but right now we just need to FINISH STRONG. obviously a Bowl berth isn't going to happen but I like the progress we've made defensively. QB play is a whole disaster onto itself but can't really blame CWT for that. I just wish Asiantii was here.
  13. students will be out in full force due to highly ranked, possible national title/heisman trophy winner coming to town. Louisville fans always travel well. It's say 40K is very accurate.
  14. With our Oline we need a QB who can make a play with his feet. Eveld does not fall into that category unless you consider 'tripping over your feet' making a play I'd say give White a shot. As people mentioned, practice isn't always the best indicator, some guys are gamers and some aren't. Instincts are huge at the QB position. Bench seems to have some of them, although he is still learning the offense and got hurt. But Eveld is just lost and Floyd can't keep the ball away from the other team. This whole idea about SAVING HIS REDSHIRT is nonsense. We will have 3 more years to find another QB. I think with Taggart's recruiting ability and the fact that he played QB at a very high level, I don't think that will be a problem to find a QB. But right now, today, with our Oline- we need a QB who can move out of the pocket and still gain yards.
  15. It could be something as simple as a "Sorry we missed you, Hope you can make it to the next one" just something to let fans know that the place they gave their money to is actually wanting them to get value out of their tickets. nothing wrong with that
  16. Confusing him with Dvo Montgomery thanks
  17. wasnt he here originally as a WR or am i confusing him withe someone else?
  18. i am pretty sure that it was mentioned that Jim would be stopping by when the 49ers are in town, during the same time it was reported that John came by when the Ravens were in town. The real question is....with the other Jim (Leavitt) join him.
  19. He masked how bad our line was too. ^^^ THIS Look at our current QBs, if they were given time to let a play develop, they might have a shot but WOW, our OLine is terrible
  20. BJ Daniels isn't going to provide a whole lot of new insight into the 49ers system just because he was there for 3 months. The Seahawks have had multiple scouts and assistant coaches, with higher football IQs than BJ, following every single play the 49ers have run during the Harbaugh era. This wasn't a move to just try and get some insight. It was more of a move that BJ Daniels is probably one of the closest things to Russell Wilson in the league as far as size and skill set. Obviously Wilson has the ability to put incredible touch and accuracy on his passes, which we all know isn't BJs strong suit but don't discredit BJ's ability to help Seattle by saying this move was just about trying to get some insider info on the 49ers. There aren't many "secrets" in this league and if there was some super secret play, the 49ers wouldn't share it with a guy like Daniels who was a bubble roster spot all thru training camp and preseason.
  21. They cut Daniels so they could have room to sign a LB so I doubt Leavitt is too shaken up by it. He understands the business of the NFL
  22. at this point in our season- there isn't a win i want more than a win over UCF this year. They are riding sky high and our heads are in the sand. It would be nice for us, in the middle of one of our worst seasons ever, to say - hey we are still better than your best team when we are at our worst.
  23. Also- Daniels hasn't even dressed for any of the games yet.
