I really believe that next year is when we find out what we've really got in a coach.
I don't expect any 10-2 type season or anything but we need to see improvement. If our offense is still stalling like this then I think CWT will be on a short leash which furthers the point that if Doug has missed with back to back coaching hires for the football team then he needs to go (regardless of any other non-football success he has been a part of)
I have faith in CWT and I think he has an idea how to fix it but the storm is so bad right now that there is nothing we can do. Defense is playing better and playing with a lot more freshman, which is a good sign for next year.
One thing that Holtz was never able to do is DEVELOP talent. At a program of our level, we need to DEVELOP talent. It won't just show up at our doorstep like it does to Bama, FSU, and others.
Leavitt was great at developing players. Taggart has a wrap for being able to do so. Let's see what he can do with an offseason with the team and a full chance to recruit.
