    One more thing and I'll shut up. I think ticket prices are WAY too high for the product. $16 has to be turning the casual fan away unless it is a name team. An $8 or $10 ticket with $2 or $3 for kids would bring out a lot more folks. We are turning USF Bball into another event families can no longer afford. USF has to realize Bball is competing with going to the movies for many people in Tampa.

    Velcro, totally agree with you on the product and hype have to go hand in hand to get people there. God, I miss the early 80's with consistent crowds of 6 - 7,000. It was a tough place to play for opponents.

    2 corner video boards and cushioned seats would be great! I hope the boards show a bit more than the current score and clock. And please, turn off that one board now that flickers all the lights - someone is going to have a seizure!

    I was talking about the first level where all the no shows are. There are 1500 seats in the first level - 500 are allocated to students leaving 1000 for season ticket holders and corporate/sponsor types. I was guessing that 800 or 900 of these are the "sold out" season tickets we hear about that appear to have about a 40 - 70 % show rate. Regardless, I am puzzled. I guess many of those tickets go to major donors that feel they are supporting USF by buying season tickets and are not really into going to the game.

    2,165 announced - distributed tickets plus comps through the door 1,052 - butts in seats (Brett has figured out how to get this figure in time for the articles) That means that over 1,100 season ticket holders and sponsor/corporate tix were no shows.

    The attendance is very puzzling. Only 1,052 were there. The 800 - 900 season tickets (not including students) on the first level are supposedly "sold out". Where are these people? Last night there was no Lightning game, no other events in Tampa, no big sports on tv and the kids are out of school. We are running out of excuses.

    FIU played very good defense.  I thought the Bulls showed great promise in how they handled the press and a real tight man D. FWIW, I noticed Woolard talking to a few folks tonight and pointing many times at the TV cameras and then the usual first level empty sections (behind the baskets and E1).  He had a very sour/disappointed look on his face all night. BTW, the infamous section E1 had about the usual 10 people in it for the first half. At halftime, about 15 FIU fans were moved from E2 down to E1 - not sure what that was about.

    At WBB game tonight - they destroyed High Point and are playing extremely exciting ball. Gilmore is a real player.

    Why are they so hell bent on being IA if they can't get the fan support? Pursuing this in the courts is ridiculous.

    Agreed - this has been my pet peeve (sp?) about the dome. Just shut down two of the scoreboards so they can use the good bulbs from those to replace the bad bulbs on the other two. This situation has to be dealt with before we have our first BE home game.

    Flipping channels and caught a bit of the Notre Dame - Depaul game. Heard the announcers say that ND's 3 BE mirror games were set for next year as Depaul, Pitt and another - had kids yelling and did not catch it. Have any BE AD's or officials spilled the beans on the mirror games? Apparantly ND has. I think we need Howie's searching talent to see what he can find.

    Mirrors us in 2 ways: ******** about the Forum owners sounds like our Bulls vs. Glazers threads. Complaining about the season tix owners in sold out sections not showing up - no butts in seats (see Sundome sections E1 & P1 threads).

    Does WFTS show all their Saturday games in HD? It would be sweet to see the Bulls up close and personal.
