    I hope it is October 1st - a Saturday! Sounds more and more that when the BE and ESPN get a hold of scheduling, we may become the next UL of the airwaves with 5 or 6 games NOT on Saturdays.

    I thought you had to win at least 50% of your games to be eligible. Meaning 6-5 (11 games), 6-6 (12 games) or 7-6 (13 games).

    I'm not sure how much demand there is going to be for satellite radio in sports when you can get the audio for most games on the Internet. I guess for people who happen to be in their cars and not at home, but that must be a somewhat limited market.

    Not sure, but for the first 2 years of the new 12 game schedule, there may be some bargains to be had. I am not sure these big schools want to go to 8 home games - how many 1AA or Sun Belt schools can they parade before their donors before they say stop.

    Might this be an opportunity for programs at USF's level to get a big name opponent for a home game in 2006 & 2007? I know it sounds absurd, but most of the SEC and Big 10 schools already have 7 home games and 4 away games scheduled for those 2 years. Will they all automatically want the 12th game to be an 8th home game or might it be possible an Alabama or a Michigan would take a payday game and travel just to fill out those schedules?

    Now that's interesting. There are 480 people who actually registered and then never posted even once. Why would you do that on a board that allows guests and visitors to read everything?

    Who cares? I don't get real involved in any other message boards, but am I missing something here? Is the goal to have informative, debatable, and often times humerous dialogue about our beloved Bulls OR to pad stats for some kind of recognition thing? On most boards, is it a good or prestigious thing for a poster to have a lot of posts even if they are one word or add nothing to the topic?

    How about Toro(s) Caliente? After all, that is HOT's "signature piece" as we have been told at the last 30 home FB games.

    I vote for The Stampede too - sounds cool. But that's a pretty loud and agressive name that has to be backed up with a Cameron Crazies type of student section.

    I remember that tickets were $8 for a long time - probably early to mid 90's. I would guess in 1990 tickets were $5.

    Whitney Johnson always talks up USF when he does his sports updates, but he never has more air time than 30 seconds. I think he is an alum - no?

    mutt, I like the beer theme in most of your posts! Yeah, why wouldn't they serve it?  They do at the SunDome and the BE does not have a rule against beer sales.

    Agree - I have said in the past that $16 is way too much for our product and introducing people to the team and the dome. A guy was in line behind me for the UAB game and started asking me all kinds of questions about the dome and seating. He had been reading in the papers about USF Bball and the NBE, but had never been to a game. He was a bit surprised when he got up to the window and saw that tickets were $16 - made a comment that he assumed he could get an $8 or $10 ticket for college BB.

    Jeff, I guess you have sources. Do you have any dates for games or know when the dates are going to be released? I know we need the TV $ and exposure, but I hate to hear the UL game will be on a weeknight. With only 3 home games, I hate that we have to have one on a weeknight - I wish they would only do that in the years you have 4 home games.

    bigbull/chris - I assume you and your buddy are the only students at every WBB game that are actually cheering. I must tell you that today's fast count "1-2-3-4-5 TURNOVER" yell was absolutely hysterical. Besides the USF fans, you also had the ref (doing the actual counting) smiling and the Cincy girls laughing. Keep it up.

    If UCF goes off and builds their own stadium, it would be a HUGE blow to the City of Orlando. I doubt they would put up the bucks to renovate the CB for 3 football games/year.

    I think you are referring to about 30 kids and adults from the Hudson Cougars Bball team (blue and yellow shirts). They were originally seated in the last 2 rows of the 2nd level. When the game started, someone went up and invited all of them to move down to level one - a nice gesture. They also invited everyone sitting behind the band to move down into the empty student section next to the band. I imagine all this is DW's doing to create a better atmosphere for the team. They have also put up the curtain again to block the view of all the empty 3rd level seats.
