We'll see. The NIT is nothing to brag about, but let's see how we do in the "easy" part of the Big East schedule. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But I'm willing to let it play out.

C'mon man, we are USF, **** it!!! We should be able to go from winning one game in the BE and losing to BCC and FIU to being an upper tier BE team because... well...well... just because. Don't give me any of that "REALITY of the current situation" crap. Exactly. NO ONE on here predicted a NCAA tourney this year, and if they did, they're morons. A lot of us predicted us making the Big East tourney, and NONE of those folks said we'd make it as one of the top seeds. SO, with that being said, USF is in position to do one of 2 things 1) barely squeeze into or 2) barely miss the Big East tourney...........which, is what everyone said in the 1st place. Stop getting so worked up over every win or every loss, people.

I have a question, miamisportsfan83: How many wins do you honestly expect USF to have in conference at this point? They currently have 2, winning the only 2 games in which they were favored, correct? Having played #14 UCONN, #10 Pitt, #20 Notre Dame, and West Virginia, all on the road. The home games were Louisville, Cincy, and Rutgers. Whether or not they should be or shouldnt be a better team in McCullum's 4th year isnt the issue. Looking at THIS YEAR's team as its own entity, how can you look at that schedule and with any fairness expect anything better than 2 or 3 wins at this point? Let's compare our 2-5 record to another Big East team, Syracuse who is 4-2. Syracuse's conference wins include: Marquette, 'Nova, Cincy(by 1), and Rutgers. Losses are Pitt and St Johns. How would you compare Syracuse to USF this year? I mean, obviously they are twice as good, they have double our wins!

No one hates USF. How many times have you been in a conversation with a fan of say FSU or Miami or whatever and you say something negative about their school and the person asks, "you must be a Gator" or "you must be 'Nole". Then you answer with, "no, i'm a USF fan." Suddenly, the conversation turns, and they say "oh, i like USF. they're allright." THAT'S A PROBLEM, FOLKS. We'll know USF is big time when you can go to work and argue around the water cooler.

You're delusional. That is your opinion and you are entitled to it, but I do not have to agree with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those who know me (and that is definitely not you) would differ with you. I dont know how much you listen to him, but maybe you should listen a little closer. I'm not being mean here, i just think you're not paying attention. When Sileo has nothing to talk about, he ALWAYS falls back on his crutches: Barry Bonds, race issues, UM football, Gruden vs Dungy, or Yankee baseball. That's it. Also, he relies heavily on Simon to get him through those "tough spots" where he runs out of things to say. His show is like a car wreck. So much so, that before the Pepper and Kraz show, my friends and I would exchange "Today's episode of Dan Sileo is a moron" text messages pretty much everyday. BUT, with all that said, I have to practice what I preach and say "to each his own." I dont like him, so I change the channel. You seem to like him, so have fun losing brain cells as you continue to listen.

In Coach Rod's second season he had a pretty good offense considering the RB situation and the fact that he was dealing with multiple suspensions. You can celebrate all you want, but because of this we are almost completely replacing the WHOLE offensive staff and ask any head coach it's tough get your players used to a new philosophy. Personally, this hurts more than Burnham because of the effects this could have early next season. He is now a member of the enemy. He chose to leave. Of course I'm happy he's not here anymore, but since he went to our conference rival, I can hate him now and not feel bad about it whatsoever.

Bottom line is this: radio is all about preference. We all have the freedom to change the station. Now that 1010 is back, we have an alternative. Thank god. In my opinion, Duemig is the best AT WHAT HE DOES. Ron and Ian are the best AT WHAT THEY DO. Pepper, Kraz, and Lighthall are the best AT WHAT THEY DO. In other words, all of those radio shows are different, and you have to look at them all as a separate entity. Again, this is my personal opinion, having listened to sports radio religiously since the 910 days of Whitney/Rock Riley, Todd Wright, Chris Thomas, Brantley/Duemig. Morning drive: You have 2 choices: Dan Sileo or Pepper/Kraz. Sileo is a blabbering idiot who doesnt believe a word out of his OWN mouth, so why should I take him seriously?! On the other hand, Pepper/Kraz will talk local sports(including USF) and also go into pop culture a bit. A really good show to "start the day" with, in my opinion. Then you have Ron and Ian vs Tony Bruno. Personally, I love BOTH shows. Both are very similar, with the slight edge to Bruno in the overall knowledge dept but Ron and Ian get my ears based on the local angle and the reception issue on my walkman in the bloomingdale/riverview areas. Middays you get Rome or Al Keck...or as I like to call it, The Mark Hayes Show. I used to be a religious Rome listener until I realized how talentless he is, and how sickening his political correctness and "2-facedness" is. Keck is a tv guy doing radio, and it's painfully obvious when listening to his interviews and his inability to say anything negative about anyone.....ever. Mark Hayes, Lighthall, and that Tanner guy make the show. And it's local, and you get the most USF talk on this show than any other(thanks to Lighthall. im very disappointed to learn that Keck doesnt talk more USF, what with his ties to the program and all.). Afternoon you get Duemig vs the Chix. I've never like the Chix. I actually like the parts of the show where they DONT talk sports, cause that's entertaining. When they try to talk sports, it kills me. But it is what it is, a different show, and one that doesnt appeal to my particular taste. As for Duemig, you can say the same thing. He's not afraid of controversy and his show makes you THINK about what's really going on. Makes you read between the lines, and thats what I like. Again, personal preference. Sure, I get mad at how he treats certain callers, but I also WANT him to yell at other callers. I dont agree with him all the time, in fact, I would say it's about 70%, but that's the POINT of talk radio, is it not?! There you have my personal synopsis, and thanks to Mike Pepper for coming on here and sharing his thoughts. Stick around Mike....you may like it. 8-) (Oh, and tell Kraz the Jets suck.)

hang on hang on hang on.... if you dont like him, thats fine. but dont tell me that brantley or the chix are more knowledgable. it all depends on what kind of show you like. personal preference.

i love how everyone expects a team that THEY constantly tell us is "horrible and terribly coached" to beat the top teams(ranked even!) in our conference....ON THE ROAD. Comedy, really.
