  1. Had you worded it like this originally, I don't think as many would have jumped down your throat. (I agree, by the way)
  2. Big dude, with long strides like that, he looked goofy as hell........but goofy was effective!
  3. We could........but there are only 4 to choose from that were even servicable, much less "great": Barnhardt, Blackwell, Grothe, Daniels. Admittedly, I never saw Barnhardt play, so I only have 3 to choose from, and there were about 10 throws White made on Thursday night that I NEVER saw Grothe or Daniels make. Can he run, no, but he showed skills in one game that we haven't seen since #10 was our quarterback. Those before the wr breaks throws and throwing over the middle were never BJ and Matt's strong suits. I liked what I saw from White. He gives me hope for the future. Hope is right. "Best of all time OMG!!" sounds a bit strong.......but when you think that he's already the 5th best, RIGHT NOW, is it really that far fetched?

  5. Has anyone gone back and read this thread? http://thebullspen.com/index.php/topic/89327-qb-mike-white/ Now that's some good reading!
  6. If so, when? I've been around since 2001, and I can't think of a game that felt so good to watch........and I couldn't care less what the scoreboard looked like. Hope!!!
  7. Yes. Robbins, Ward, Godwin, and Childs are all true freshmen DBs on the roster, currently. Godwin and Ward are already getting significant playing time. Robbins was very highly touted, coming out of high school, so he'll get his chance to shine next season. With spread offenses, special teams options, and the ability to mix and match, you can NEVER have enough DBs on your roster.
  8. This. Stockpiling redshirts is only advantageous when you have the depth to do so.
  9. This move is all about the locker room. You cannot preach what Taggart has been preaching and keep a better player on the bench, just to save him for next year. What about THIS year's Senior class? How can he look them in the eye and tell them to "do something"? Starting White is the last straw, and it's a message to every player in the program now and recruits in the near future.
  10. This should be our goal right now, to be Boise St: Southeast Division.
  11. Umm, have you ever been to a Louisville game? They travel.....well. The "added hype in the stands" will be wearing red, unfortunately.
  12. Willie Davis hit the hole with a purpose. Tice has some shifty in his game, I like it. Pierre........looks like he's running in clown shoes.
  13. Perception. They've passed us in perception, and perception is all that matters.
  14. I gotta admit, that's pretty disappointing.
  15. Having experienced both, it's not only worse, but WAY worse. Rentschler Field is small, but it's well done. There is plenty of room for expansion, when and if that is ever necessary. It has the feel of a big stadium, only smaller. Bright House Stadium is.......an aluminum bowl.
  16. Very well stated and I couldn't agree more with your post. Thanks for the contribution. I'm way behind, but this is awesome. 100% agree.
  17. Out of curiosity, what is it that they "broke" 2 years ago? You tell me.... vs
  18. What's a uniform thread without yours truly? I'd be happy if UA would just fix what they broke 2 years ago. (and if they have any say about the green helmets, fix that too)
  19. I see the same team now that I saw in 2004. I think the difference between Leavitt and Holtz is minimal.
  20. what is this guy saying? the worst thing to happen was to beat auburn and wvu ?? to be ranked #2?? no the worst thing was to lose to Temple and ball state. unbelievable. We weren't as good as the polls suggested. It raised expectations way above our level. How is this confusing? Blackwell was the one I was speaking of. Grothe and Daniels were/are not good Quarterbacks. And how dominant was he at USF? Not very. Half of his games were of the "invisible" variety. I was leaning more towards the assistant coaches. Maybe I should've been more clear. It's about a 70-30 lean towards the assistants. The elite teams, the teams USF is compared unfairly to, have interchangeable 1st and 2nd strings. It's called depth. We've never had that. So you're arguing that we have had the talent to compete for a league title? We've always had a "if everything goes exactly perfect and we catch every break, we can win the league title" kind of team. That means we're just as close to a .500 Big East team as we've been a Big East Champion team.
