How do you think the paying ticket holders would feel about that? They wouldn't be giving the tickets out to thousands of people, probably a couple hundred high schoolers. I think having them at the game will help them become more aware that USF in fact does have a football team, bring more of a college atmosphere to Ray J, and in the future fill the stands up more. Ray J needs some more crowd energy. I agree. You dont give tickets to every high school in the county for every game! You spread it out. One week you give 100 tickets each Brandon, Bloomindale, Durant, Armwood, and Riverview. The next you give 100 each to Robinson, Plant, Jefferson, etc. It's just to raise awareness. No season ticket holder will notice 500 extra people in the stadium if they didnt know ahead of time that the tickets were given away for free.

Everything helps, but realistically how many 13-18 year olds are going to buy season tickets in the next 3 to five years? 3-5? zero. 5-10? a lot. The more USF tshirts and jerseys in the middle and high schools, the better. What I'm saying is that they are the future. They are the ones that's going to turn us into "The Big 4".

I think the INTs were nothing more than "being a freshman". A lot of those were throws that he forced into a hole that he probably got away with in high school.

USF will gain the typical Tampa Bay Bandwagoners very soon, possibly this year. The REAL key is the 13-18 yr olds around the area. USF needs to market to that age group. Those kids are the future of the program, and I dont mean on the field.

Well, if that's the case, you should know that the USF golf team is 2nd in the state and are in the finals of the Bob's Bar-B-Q tournament in Blue River, Montana this weekend. Not only that, but I expect you to give us live leaderboard updates when they become available.............AND IF YOU DONT, you are not giving USF it's proper coverage, and you should be ashamed to be a sports talk show host." I've never proclaimed myself to be the most tactful person, but Im gonna go out on a limb here and say that I wouldnt have handled that situation in that manner. HowieP took his ball and went home. i have been blamed, but i still dont know why. the bottom line is that a grown man, howiep, took his ball and went home. no one "ran him off". that's just stupid to say. this is a message board for god sakes, not everyone is going to agree with everything you say or do. do i wish he hadnt left? absolutely, but in the end, all it took was 1 or 2 negative comments and he ran away. all i said to howie was that he sounded like a moron on the air. anyone who heard the call, should back that up. whether that be because he was nervous or what, i dont know. but anyway, thats all i said to him. hell, i've been on the air before and i'm sure i didnt sound good either, but i guarantee you i wouldnt have pouted had someone told me the truth.
