  1. We moved the ball well in the first half and when we had to become one dimensional our OL couldn't stop any blitz. Can hardly blame Daniels for having to run for his life. youre missing his point. he is running for his life becaue they can put so many guys in the box because we have no downfield pass threat. I dont blame it all on BJ but like i said earlier id much rather have a gunslinger than BJ. Not only are we not missing his point, you didn't even get the point right. His point was not about the lack of a downfield pass threat, but that BJ isn't a good enough QB to throw downfield and that bj daniels arm is not strong enough to throw over 15+ yards. He's wrong on both counts, in my opinion. Again, I chalk it up to an emotional response from a disappointed fan and the fact that BJ is an easy target for criticism based on past performance. The former is fair, the latter isn't. Just an FYI.... I had the same opinion after Clemson, after ND, after Balls State, after FAMU, after UTEP, and now after Pitt. I am not saying that BJ cannot throw the ball that far, but rather he cannot throw the ball that far with much accuracy. How many receivers have we hit "in stride" ever?
  2. You guys can say what you want but before the game, I called how Pitt would defend us becuase of BJ. Unfortunately BJ did NOT prove me wrong.
  3. We will be able to run the ball over them if they do what you suggested above. Heck, I think we run the ball over them almost no matter what they throw at us, short of 8 guys in the box. Game Set Match. Can we get a QB and not an athlete at some point? Are you kidding me???? Tell the Oline to grow some balls and block. This one is not on B.J, this one is on the coaching staff all day. When a team puts more men in the box then we have blockers they will win that battle. The reason Pitt can do that is becuase THEY DO NOT RESPECT bj daniels ARM. They are STACKING up on the line just as I predicted. So back to your original point ... How is this B.j.'s fault?? I guess it is not BJs fault that he cannot throw the ball as far as a normal 1/2 decent QBs. Maybe its his momma's fault. If BJ were a 1/2 DECENT QB Pitt wouldnt plan their defensive game plan to stack the box. They would have to respect his arm. So I guess it is Pitt's fault for knowing BJ cannot throw the ball more than 15 yards past the line of scrimmage with any accuracy. I swear I thought BJ was at least fast but he looks slow and sluggish tonight.

  6. Sorry but I like BJ I dont love him as a QB. Look for Pitt to play us five yards off the ball on the line and play our receivers tight to the short game. They will stack the box for the run and short pass game. BJ CANNOT throw the ball with any accuracy 10-15 yards past the line of scrimmage. When he drops back 8 yards he has about 20-21 yards of ball control veritcally (consider the ball travels further heading out to the sideline). I have seen 1-2 balls thrown long and accurate to a receiver in stride over the last 4 games. And three of those games were against sub-level competition. If Pitt tightens up in the box and makes BJ beat them with the long ball, we better be able to run the ball over them. BJ's long balls are mostly spot passes, that one interception where the receiver broke off the route looked more like a punt than a pass. I hope I a proven wrong....
  7. It took me quite a while to see how you knew she was from Auburn...,,,,,,,,,,,
  8. Shoot for five grand I'm looking for happy endings not coaches.
  9. I use www.gotomypc.com and I like it. I basically can get into my desktop from work or my work computer from home. It allows me to sync files. I have also used PC Anywhere in the past. PC Anywhere doens work with our network but gotomypc.com does. Also I can get to either computer from anywhere in the world. So how does it work? If I am at work I log into my home computer and while I am at work I am viewing my home PC. The best part is the only IP registering is the one to my home PC. What I view on my home PC remotely is not being seen by the network.
  10. The question you have to ask yourself is: Who is the better evaluator of talent. Some journalist making 30-40k per year working at recruiting for an online website or Coach Jim Leavitt who gets paid 1.1 million a year to evaluate and coach football talent? Hmmmmm. Were also talking about rank ordering here. If I ask you if you like beer or steak better you might like both equally but say beer first. The difference between 1 & 2 doesnt really MEAN anything other than represent order. In other words the difference betweeen 1 and 6 is five places but no say "five inches" or "Five points" They could all be within a fraction of each other but 1 got put first. We could be 54 and someone with the 15th best class may only be a midgeon different than us. Besides I think a Miami coach said it best about one of our players: "Coach Leavitt took a kid that didnt even start for us and made him a Butkis candidate"
  11. "air football" LOL Tell us what's on your mind.....Its not quite a Freudian slip but we can call it a Lombardian slip.
  12. Then simply learn a bit of technology, hook an S-video cable up to your computer and send it through the imput jack on your TV. Wala, the BULLS on your TV. Or are you a purist and you dont want no stinking cables having to be hooked up to your TV? Rabit ears only eh?
  13. Too bad the game isnt on TV.  That sign is creative and could have made.  I am sorry to say I will miss my first home game of the season due to an ear and sinus infection.  What a joke this game isnt on television.  But then again it is USF mens basketball.  Not on TV but for $8 a month you can watch all the games ONLINE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. But hey, maybe $8 is a bit much for your team.
  14. I actually hope Matt has more rushing yards but I hope they are on much fewer attempts. I'd like to see the defense SO worried about Ford that Matt can bust out a 40-50 yarder (and get safely run out of bounds _IN THE BACK OF THE END ZONE) each time. Hoping for a safe, efficient, effective, exciting offense in 2007. With the right running game our passing game should OPEN UP HUGE>
  15. and i submit to you that the physical exams these kids get are not satisfactory kids should all get state of the art medical tests for their hearts and brains at schools expense every year Once again, perhaps you should wait for the facts. A month ago KD complained of a headace. He was given an MRI. How many doctors do you know that send someone for a $5,000 procedure becuase they have a headace. I think you will find that USF does give their athletes the best medical care money can buy. Sometimes that is not enough. When the medical examiners report comes out then they can decide if they need help sorting out the details.
  16. This is incorrect. The 1.1 million was our allotment for this bowl game. If we had gone to the Gator I think it is 1.4 million. THe teams that dont go to a bowl dont get this money. We will get more money once the conference splits up the revenues from the bowl game. The 1.1 is JUST to help us cover the cost of the bowl. The conference then takes the money we get from the bowl and divides that up. Last year we got about 3 million more. THis is a GREAT part of being in a BCS conference.
  17. Hey were all still here. We havent gone anywhere since 1997. Were still screaming in the coaches ear to go for 2 Nov 17, 1997 against Georgia Southern. Leavitt listened, he fed off our want of football and excitement. That play may have fallen short but the hunger for USF football grew in all of us. I dont think I have ever seen my team lose a game but still feel more pride then I did that night. Just remember, Leavitt isnt the only original Bull that was around in 1997. You and I were also part of what made this team great.
  18. Just a wild guess in the dark but I beleive his source is his son.....
  19. Ari, Which QBs did Rod Smith develop? Blackwell showed us what he had as a freshmen. Grothe has showed us the same type of inate ability. As a QB coach Rod Smith NEVER developed any of our QBs. See Pat Julmiste, Ronnie Banks, and Courtney D, Carlton Hill, etc. I'll go with any offensive coordinator and be just as happy as I was with Smith.
  20. Find someone with a verizon internet account. Wireless phone accounts do not work. Here is a work-around: Find someone with access. Then have them switch to full screen. Right click the video and find the link. (Right click then properties) copy and paste that link to a public forum and then click on it. They may have fixed that issue by now. You could try the "Bugmenot" logins but they rarely work.
  21. The question is this: Are the band and cheerleaders there to support the basketball team or are they just parasitic groups that come to perform to a crowd that would never show up to watch them without a sporting event going on?
