  1. I beleive they made selling for more than face value legal. http://www.natb.org/news/index.cfm?pg=newsdetail.cfm&newsID=41
  2. I thoguht there was some type of "Dont Ask, Dont Tell" policy on this board...
  3. Hmmm. I guess that would be my favorite menu item at the Chinese place... #69. TuCanChu
  4. So how does this post not make it to an off topic board? Who cares. It's UF. There is a board for them.
  5. Well if Steve streaks Sheriff could have a sign that says: "Must be cold out today".
  6. If its about money with you, then we should be REALLY happy at Ray Jay. Even with the money bump and lack of concession revenue, we come out with a lot more money than if we had our own stadium and had to pay all of the bills. I hear people ******** and moaing about us not getting concessions. Big Whoop. We would be paying out of our asses a heck of a lot more than is coming in even with concessions.
  7. We all see where all those games UCF played against big time programs helped you guys. Wasnt that coach K's plan. Hmmm, that got you, 0h, oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh.
  8. If YOU read the entire report you will find that the debt coverage is 145% before fundraising. If you want to compare what USF and UCF have you need to only look at the increased revenues UCF gets from things USF doesnt get now (concessions, catering, parking, premium seating, advertising, naming rights, and other revenue) Then look at the cash outlays. Why do it this way? Becuase USF still has ticket revenue and still has capital gift fundraising without a stadium. UCF's per game cash costs are $833,000. THATS PER GAME. USF will have Ray Jay for the entire year for less than your stadium costs you for one game. Take into consideration UCF's extra "revenue" and your stadium will still cost you $333,333 per game. Now your right that the survey estimated about 26k per game and you could have higher, but students wont help those numbers if that's where the extra interest comes from. Also, look for the debt service to be higher. UCF estimated 42 million over 30 years at 6%. Recent reports puts the realistic number at 51 million per year instead of 42. They estimate debt alone to run $4 million. That's $666,666 per game in DEBT without consideration of other stadium related expenses. While its great you have your own stadium, you will be dumping a few million more cash into it every year than USF pays to rent Ray Jay.
  9. UCF is projecting operating expenses, just in game day expenses and utilities, insurance, people to run the stadium at 1.626 Million per year. Plus another 400K in maintenance reserves. That's maintenance. Now they also have the debt service of over 5 million per year. Makes that $720,000 look like a bargain.
  10. If you ask me as a professor, I'd tell you that an education has more value than a degree. I see students come through looking for a degree all the time. That's all they want, that slip of paper. They show up to class with the idea of doing the min they need to get their degree. Students coming to school for an education attempt to learn as much as possible. They learn how to study and adapt to projects and schedules that are difficult. They learn how to learn and that is more important than anything else. Pick a degree program that will allow you to do what you want in life, but dont focus on the slip of paper at the end. Focus on the process, on each assignment and each chapter. The rest will take care of itself.
  11. How about this. If you want to direct your question to a person, just hit the Quote button. Making up goofy rules about the number of carrots ("^") gets a bit silly.
  12. Why would Doug not comment? Is that the same thing as not answering the phone.
  13. There was still nothign better than seeing Andre saying goodbye to all the Bulls fans at the end of the bowl game. That guy is all class. The only thing that could have made that moment better would have been a win in the game.
  14. Hmmm. Was this idea inspired by that commercial for Vault? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=54...ault+commercial
  15. Actually recruits can no longer fly on the private jets. They still offer an advantage in that a coach can visit more recruits across the country but recruits can no longer fly in the jets. \
  16. Gee neither of the stories on the web sites of SI or ESPN have anything about the "Car" you speak of . Perhaps that's some message baord rumor you are selling as a fact. Ergo, just as good as the 7-11 Elvis............Stojko sighting.
