  1. I don't think the '07 team offense would have problems with the '16 defense. We did not lose to non-BCS teams, even "good" ones, in fact we would usually win big. I also think our offensive stats in '16 are the result of weak competition. The only issue is the letdowns. Which team would show up, the one that beat Auburn/WVU or the one that lost to Uconn, Rutgers and Cinci.
  2. 2007, Winning and struggling against some of the best teams in the country, vs offensive shootouts with doormats. 2016 offense was fun to watch, but so was Matt, so was the 2007 defense.
  3. It was a pick, he took out the dudes legs. Then during an interview at the end of the game, Watson said something like "we called the pick" Still any Bama loss is a good loss.
  4. They would win or barely lose the conference one year, then win 3 games the next 2 or 3. They rode the senior wave under O liar.
  5. Sound more like bowel-ando. Fighting turds down the citrus bowl!
  6. You can donate generically as in a deposit for football. What section that gets you for seats is not published on the bulls club site anymore.
  7. Can't buy a donor level attached to a seating area if you don't already have tickets. Not sure if that is normal for this time of year, but seems like there could be an increase in price.

  9. Could USF have chartered the jet that happens to be owned by a texas booster?
  10. This thread is awesome. Tags was not Harlan's guy, so in some ways it was a continuation of the previous regime. And has been stated, from many angles irregardless of this seasons wins he under performed as a coach. Last year's bowl comes to mind. I think we end up better off in the long run.
  11. Not sure if this was linked already. Leavitt vs Skippy...
  12. This! They have also reduced the price of the product in a way that I think makes sense. The donor level for good seats is less as you can buy per seat now and not in blocks of 8. The other issue is they would not pro-rate a mid season purchase, why buy now if they won't pro-rate?
  13. Why pay bad leaders to misuse your funds and pay coaches for not coaching, etc? Because I am an alumni? Maybe I'd rather give to the school of business or music? Maybe I'd rather go to Disney World. Perhaps I cared too much for too long to watch them throw away the past like it's some other school or like they share no blame? It's not that they fired Leavitt, it's the how and why and the level of ******** surrounding it.
  14. Ain't that a bunch of ********. How many thousands of $ have been spent on tailgates, donations, seats, club memberships, travel? Went to practically every home game from 1997-2012, was in HOT as a student, been to more away games than most on this board. The issue isn't weak alumni excuse, the issue is bad leadership that didn't plan for very obvious contingencies, mixed with an agenda from god knows where. The good thing is now the product is priced appropriately per seat. I can get better seats at much cheaper prices.
  15. BU Disagree. Nothing done by anyone with exception of LRS and a few others, including if we win a bush league conference, can match what he did. I stopped going to games for other personal reasons around the time of Taggert's hire. Bought season tickets back channel through the skippy years in protest and let them know every time they called. "Firing" Woolard was a good step IMO. I didn't feel this way though until the civil law suit, I was willing to let the process work. First game back in 3 years was NIU, enjoyed it and caught the bug again. I traveled to road games when we were 1-AA, traveled to many away marque and conference games in CUSA, Big East, and prior. I'm the guy Brad is mentioning, and it ain't bush league whining. It's not about wins/losses. There is just something wrong about the way things went down and I haven't really felt a need to be part of the aftermath. So make some changes, build a bridge or whatever and I'll probably be back. Almost did it this year, but something held me back. I'm posting this, because the feelings Brad is alluding to are real.
  16. Still not purchasing season tickets because of it. I admit, I almost did this year but I am still that miffed.
  17. Well there was a huge perception gap with their administration/fans way back in 2005. Some things never change.
  18. Nothing quite like an unbridled celebration of mediocrity! #BeProud
  19. It's a function of tone, not tune. You can play loud or you can play with good tone. If you play with good tone and are "in tune" the sound will usually carry better.
