  1. If I didn’t know better it seems like I am getting baited into a retort, sorry but I like to remain above the fray
  2. That truly is my sentiment as well, he drove away the last die hard fans in droves as he is laughing all the way to the bank, short of giving back a portion of the multi millions of dollars he was paid and is still owed this rings hollow. I wont spend another post on him and happy that he is gone, if he finds success fine and if he doesn’t then that is fine as well.
  3. I agree however I would not completely Rhule him out.
  4. Decent crowd however team is trash like expected, I have seen enough. Should fire CBG tonight and get it over with.
  5. Same team, different year. This team is painful to watch, so I will pass and periodically check the score.
  6. Mine were biased as well, I guess I never felt like we were close, maybe for 1/2 of the Florida or Cincy game, no part of year 1 or 2 though. It was evident we were never going to out score anyone with our pitiful defense. I don’t wish him ill will or well either, I wish we never would have hired him but this painful experiment is over and for that I am thankful.
  7. El Toro pretty much summed it up, the guy simply was not ready and to not fully immerse himself into the job out of the gate was a red flag that he had no idea what he was getting himself into. He wanted to simply talk about things and then let his coordinators do things ( because he was not experienced enough to change their strategy once things began to collapse) and he chose the wrong people for his laissez faire approach. His dad was advising him and provided him bad advice because he was historically a subpar coach himself. He was timid and became more so as he figured out he was in over his head. You act as if there could have been a series of events where he would have had success and my take is that was highly unlikely. He simply was not the guy.
  8. Hard pass, he was immature and a very questionable work ethic at Nebraska, at least from the reports.
  9. We at least fired him at the exact right time, any earlier would have been premature and any later was too late. I think we actually have a remote shot at Deion, he is not ready for a job like Auburn. He could come here, recruit like crazy and we could out athlete some teams as he pads his resume like his first stop. He is probably dying to get out of Jackson and would love to get back in a familiar territory and recruit his old stomping grounds. I give it a 25% chance.
  10. If it actually did cost us one additional penny then MK needs to go, he may need to go anyways.
  11. Past that point and just want him gone. I missed most of the game yesterday due to travels but people say the kids are still fighting for him??? If we did not make any stops on a terrible team on defense the whole game then how bad is this team if they were out there fighting?? Are we sure this team hasn’t mailed it in for the most part or Temple hanging 50 plus is the result of the kids playing with heart? Serious question, I am guessing he has lost the locker room, would like for you to explain how this team is still playing hard for him.
  12. I agree it has always come down to recruiting however CWT landed that class in his first complete recruiting cycle while he was full of piss and vigor selling a vision. This would be CJS’s third complete cycle showing one win in FBS and essentially be a dead man walking, his recruiting like his coaching stinks and that is the reason we are where we are.
  13. He would never fall on his sword, he wants to get paid. It is a game of chicken, CJS wants to get fired and get paid while Kelly is acting like we will keep him here, hope they can simply get together and negotiate an out so we can end this nightmare at a more cost effective buyout.
  14. Did he put them on the hook for more money?? I agree the blanket extensions were ignorant at best and more like malpractice however I am not sure the buyout changes though for Scott.
  15. He had a strike against him out of the gate due to not immediately jumping into the job and instead wasting 2 weeks prepping Clemson to get destroyed in the championship game instead of assembling a staff and start ing recruiting. His other strike was that he was never a coordinator that called plays so was not qualified IMO. The other strikes I had against him were not really founded but he was the son of a subpar coach and I believed he part of the good old boys club, which is not completely fair. The other strikes were he is a southern boy that came across as slow and uninspired ( this is completely unfair but like you had said, he never resonated with me). I never liked him and thought it was a bad selection out of the gate. So if you asked me where it went wrong, I would say when he was offered the job. It is easy to pile on now and it is a gamble no matter who you pick and for the record I thought CSH and CCS were great hires out of the gate so I probably don’t know my head from my ass anymore than anyone else.
  16. He is in a no win, he shouldn’t speak until he is ready to fire CJS, whether that be today or the end of the season. He will get blasted anyways because he deserves it.
  17. Hope in one hand and poop in the other and see which one fills up quicker. We all were hoping and didn’t want to believe our lying eyes and go through another rebuild but we unfortunately will. If you pick the right guy the rebuild can be quick, look at Tulane.
  18. I am sure they had higher level discussions, not sure they went into great detail and drilled down to the level necessary to pull the trigger. I am not defending VPMK just making an observation. To operate at this level of ineptitude in our 2 major sports is a collective effort and he holds plenty of blame.
  19. I assume discussing the financing and how to make the numbers work is a bit tricky working with the BOT. And to your question “what in the hell is he doing here?” I really don’t have an answer to that question.
  20. I honestly don’t know what MK could say at this point short of he has fired CJS that would satisfy us. Dave is right about the finances, I am sure they have been crunching the numbers and have been for awhile, I am confident CJS is gone this year they are simply trying to figure out how to do it. Mike doesn’t want to say anything until he has his ducks in a row and will stay quiet until then.
