  1. You would be surprised how long it takes to count $5m. Wouldn't be surprised if he failed to show up to ECU because he finished counting his $5m a little late and was still taking his money straight to the bank.
  2. 1) ECU2) 35-313) Cronk4) Miller5) 348 (closest without going over)
  3. You are correct in that he hasn't demonstrated anything that would indicate he would be a great HC. However, he also hasn't had the personnel or had the opportunity to recruit the personnel he needs for his offense to be successful. We also don't know how much CCS dips his hand into the offenses cookie jar so we don't know how much coaching KB is being allowed to do. Additionally, what do we have to lose by allowing him to be interim HC for the rest of the season if we were to fire CCS after the ECU game? It's not like we can get any worse. Again, if he isn't able to breathe life into this team and get them to play better, more disciplined football, then we move on and hire outside. However, if he does breathe life into the team and we start playing better, then I think he would deserve the opportunity to coach the team going forward, and to hire his own staff.
  4. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I have said it once and I will say it again. FIRE STRONG IMMEDIATELY AND GIVE KB A CHANCE TO BE IN FULL CONTROL OF THE TEAM. IF HE DOES WELL FOR THE REMAINING 4 TO 5 WEEKS OF THE SEASON, HIRE HIM AS HC. IF HE DOES NOT DO WELL, HIRE OUTSIDE. Mark my words though, if we get rid of KB for an outside HC hire, there is no doubt in my mind he will go somewhere else and eventually be one of the better head coaches in the FBS and USF will be standing here with our 's in our hands wishing we wouldn't have let him go. Give him a half decent offensive line, a quarterback that can lift his arm over his shoulder, and receivers that don't habitually drop the ball and our offense would be thriving.
  5. I know exactly what happened to Taggart, he doesn't have Flowers to rely on.
  6. I have no problem with using the portal to pick up some talent that otherwise we would not have. However, I think the questions everyone should be asking are: 1. This is your third season at USF, why have you not been able to develop young players during those 3 years? 2. What are you going to do differently this time around to lead others to believe you are going to develop young players when you haven't been able to develop anyone in your 3 seasons at USF? Honestly, at what point do we finally cut our losses and fire CCS? After SMU would have been perfect. Bell could have become the interim head coach and we could have had a trial to see how he would do as a head coach. If nothing improves, then hire outside. If the team seems to take some steps forward under KB, then hire him officially as the head coach.
  7. Doubtful. The last time we wore those jerseys was against UConn for homecoming last year and CCS spent the next week complaining about how the jerseys distracted his players and thats why they played so bad. We then went on to lose the next 7 straight...
  8. Yet we are third in the nation in tackles for loss and tied for 2nd for takeaways. Not saying we are good, but our defense has taken steps in the right direction this year. It is probably the only bright spot from this season thus far.
  9. We also intercepted their quarterback twice, forced and recovered a fumble, and held them to 35 points (compared to ECU who gave up 42 and Holy Cross who gave up 45). My only point is that if the offense had put up points, this would have been a very different game. The last time we played Navy (2016) we gave up 616 yards and 45 points. The difference was our offense showed up and we scored 52 points and gained 629 yards.
  10. Not saying our defense couldn't have played better, but keep in mind that Navy leads the nation in rushing. They are going to put up yards against any defense. I felt that our defense played well, but kept getting put in bad situations by an offense that could barely muster a first down.
  11. Charlie Strong has already started to blame the new helmets for our upcoming loss at ECU.
  12. Send Wilcox downfield for a pass and the QB doesn't have time to get the ball to him before being sacked. Keep Wilcox at the line of scrimmage to help the O-line block and we have one less receiver for the defense to cover , meaning our downfield receivers are covered well and the QB doesn't have anywhere to go with the ball and Wilcox is not available to throw the ball to. Until we get a culpable offensive line, we are in a lose lose situation.
  13. Should have went with Rygol after halftime imo. Problem is, our offensive line can't block worth to keep our QB's from getting banged up. Last thing we need is for all 3 quarterbacks to be injured.
  14. It isn’t bell. He has a hurt quarterback that can’t throw the ball. What are his other options than to continue to run?
  15. And the 2 teams (UConn and sc state) we’ve played against McCloud threw the ball well
  16. At least when this turns into a blow out, CCS has those great looking helmets to blame for distracting the players
  17. This dang Ohio Kent st game needs to freakin end so the USF game can be on tv!
  18. Came across this article and video and actually found it pretty interesting. Enjoy! https://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/sports/2019/10/17/usf-equipment-truck-road-trip?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf#
  19. Been saying that ever since Saturday. His injuries were what caused his dismal passing performance and what cause us to run the ball so much. Hopefully he can heal up 100% before Saturday.
  20. Lets just switch to Starter. Then we can all just get our USF gear at our local walmart for dirt cheap.
  21. I still think McCloud's problems against BYU stemmed from his wrist and shoulder injuries. If he is healthy, I trust his arm enough to play well against Navy.
  22. People forget how big the club areas are. During day games the club areas are packed with people who don’t want to be in the sun. It felt like there were way more people in the stands at the end of the game than there were in the 2nd quarter when the sun was still blazing. I’d say 35k seems accurate
  23. the pass was intended for St. Felix but McCloud over threw him and Wilcox was able to run under it. not sure if it was McDoooms fault or McCloud, but those two passes were both the exact same. McCloud threw towards the outside shoulder while McDoom broke to the inside and was looking over his inside shoulder. Both should have been touchdowns. in the Tampa bay times article, it said that McCloud hurt his shoulder early in the first quarter and that’s why we ran the ball so much. That along with his banged up throwing wrist is probably a major reason why he was so inaccurate today.
