  1. This is the longest I’ve stayed at a game since half way through last season
  2. Just received an updated sew out and approved it. So the shirts are now in process. Will keep you updated.
  3. Unpopular opinion, but I think they should hand it out during the game. Give the kids something to get excited about and work for. Lord knows they need any kind of motivation they can get. Would also help get some of the fans into the game. Get an interception? hold that bad boy up to the crowd behind you and get them fired up. Also, made these if anyone has 3 monitors at work.
  4. I bet you we will even have less turnovers during the bye week than we’ve had in either of our first 2 games and most likely our third!
  5. Yes, I was joking haha. My entry is as follows: 1) USF2) 27 - 73) McCloud4) Ford5) 275
  6. Funny story about that actually. I made a polo design for my firm, and worked with this company to embroider it. I was only making 1 polo to present to the partners, so I didn't want to pay the $50 set up fee to create the dst file (embroidery file) they need for their embroidery machines. So I taught myself how to do it and sent it over to them to embroider and it came out perfectly the first time. So until they prove me wrong I am going to go with the notion that I possibly do know how to do their job better than them...
  7. In my response to them I said that the whole thing may need to be enlarged to look better. It really is hard to see without seeing it in person or seeing the whole shirt. But I didn't like what they sent me so I did not approve.
  8. Just so everyone knows, I am still waiting to receive the redone sew-out from B&B sports. This is really starting to piss me off and I don't blame you all if it is starting to piss you off too. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since the original pick up date I was given, so if I don't receive the updated artwork today I am going to start calling them every day until they get it done. Below is the original artwork I received for approval on September 3rd. I did not approve it and told them the username and the portion that says "USF Online Community" was fine, but that the logo and "TheBullsPen.com" portions needed to be redone. I promise you I am doing everything in my power to get this done and will ship the shirts out as soon as I receive them. And just to clarify to everyone, I paid for these out of my own pocket and am not planning on being reimbursed by Brad until the shirts are shipped.
  9. I promise they are coming haha. I think me calling them twice a day for a week and then sending their original sew out back and requesting it be redone pissed them off. But ****, tomorrow will be two weeks past due, so I am starting to get pissed off and the interest accruing on my credit card is also pissing me off. f I don't receive the redone sew-out by today's end you better believe I am going to be calling them again every day until they get it done. I may not be able to demand excellence when it comes to USF football, but you d*** well better believe I demand it when I am paying for a service.
  10. That's only the clinton foundation, and nobody will start following you but you may commit suicide suddenly. To answer your question though, it depends on the source of the money. If a donor donated money to the foundation, they most likely stipulated what it could be spent on or if it needed to remain in the endowment when they donated. If they did not stipulate what it could be spent on, or that it needed to remain intact in the endowment fund, the Board of Directors of the foundation would control what it could be spent on.
  11. You are 100% correct. However, judging by how difficult it has been to raise the $20m Kelly wants to begin construction on the IPF, it is difficult for me to believe that USF has been able to procure $5m to $7.5m to be used for coaching positions. Without seeing the actual financial statements, it is difficult to see what the temporarily restricted funds are actually restricted for. That being said, they could always go back to donors who have given to the endowment and ask them for written permission to release some of those funds to pay for the CCS buyout.
  12. I have not read the contract with USF athletics, so that is a possibility. The problem is that it sounds like there is a second agreement with the USF foundation that is not public record, and therefore nobody knows the details surrounding it.
  13. A lot of negativity has been floating around this board the last few weeks, and rightly so. I was painting the other day, and thought to myself "Wow, watching this paint dry is actually more interesting than USF's offense has been for 7 out of the 8 quarters this year". HOWEVER, the season is young. We have an uphill climb ahead of us, but I am being drawn back to 2015 when we were 1-3 four games into the season under CWT. There were cries for his termination ringing loud and clear and then what happened? One little offensive tweak (letting QF be QF) and we ended up winning 7 of our last 9, knocking off #21 Temple in the process. The two losses so far this year, as difficult as they were to watch, were against non-conference teams. Our defense is leaps and bounds better than it was last year thanks to increased size, improved tackling, and a few veteran transfers (Macon, Studstill, Sails, etc.). I feel that our Offense is almost there as well. Just a few tweaks (possibly including starting McCloud over Barnett), and the offense could start clicking. All of our realistic goals are still in front of us. So as the title states, I have a dream. I dream that we somehow right the ship against an inferior FCS squad and win big (2 touchdowns because we all know CCS won't run the score up). I dream that we go into conference play with a new found confidence and beat SMU. I believe play competitively against a BYU team who will probably beat us, but still doesn't affect us in the conference. I believe the guys come back from that loss with a chip on their shoulder with something to prove, and we make a run at the division and go into the mickey mouse community college game November 29th with a division title on the line. Will we make any kind of splash on a national level? Definitely not. But we can still accomplish something USF has never done, win our division and make it to the conference championship.
  14. The terms surrounding the Strong contract seem sketchy to me at best. These articles lead one to believe that Harlan signed CCS with one contract through the University, which would be subject to the Sunshine Law (and therefore public record) and then turned around and had him agree to a second contract through the University's private foundation that is not subject to the Sunshine Law (and therefore not public record). Is this common practice at other Universities? Typically if someone does something to try to get around public disclosure, it is something they shouldn't be doing. It would be interesting to see if the Board of Trustees (BOT) were wise to this agreement. **Warning** about to bore you with financial information... As of 6/30/2017 the Foundation has a total of $595,126,655 in net assets, however $224,788,997 of that is temporarily restricted (must be held for a certain amount of time or spent on a donor-specified purpose) and $356,817,473 is permanently restricted (aka endowments, which are typically invested and cannot be spent). That only leaves around $13,520,185 in unrestricted net assets (funds can be spent on whatever the Board of Trustees approves). Of the $13.5m unrestricted net assets, $9,732,783 is tied up in land, building, and equipment. This means that at best, the Foundation only has around $3,787,402 of truly unrestricted net assets that could be spent on a CCS buyout. So if his buyout truly is $7.5m as has been floated around this forum, we are most likely going to be stuck with him unless another school takes him off of our hands (not likely). 15. If Blake Barnett Starts: 1) SC State2) 21 - 103) Barnett4) Phillips5) 197 If McCloud Starts: 1) USF2) 27 - 73) McCloud4) Ford5) 275
  16. So for the football prediction contest can we make one submission if Barnett starts and one if McCloud starts? Cause that is what I am doing right now...hope it doesn't disqualify me That being said, I have been one of Barnett's biggest supporters since he transferred here, and definitely thought he was going to end his career being one of USF's best quarterbacks ever. Unfortunately though, he needs an offensive line that prevents any pressure from every getting close to him, and that is not going to happen here. If he had an offensive line more along the line's of Wisconsin's, I think he could have thrived. He is not mobile enough and not cool enough under pressure to continue starting for USF. McCloud on the other hand, looks so smooth and comfortable running the offense. I know the kid is a redshirt freshman, but he looks like a seasoned vet out there and I hope he gets an opportunity to show what he can really do.
  17. I have a lot to say, but if I do I’m going to get banned because of the expletives
  18. I actually am a fan of this year’s jerseys, but I absolutely hate the green top white bottoms combo we are wearing today. Any one else agree?
  19. I think it all started with Taggart's mentality. He had the mentality of bend dont break. The defense was going to give up points, but it was fine because our offense would score more. He recruited heavily on the offensive side of the ball and not on the defensive. When he left and strong came in, we were left with a lot of young and mediocre defensive guys and a lot of talented offensive guys. Strong is known to recruit more heavily on the defensive side, which imo is one of the reasons our offense struggled last year. TLDR: Taggart recruited heavily on the offensive side of the ball
  20. I thought it was going to be the long awaited "Girls of Georgia Tech" thread but I guess not.
  21. Sneak the fireball into the game, take a shot every time GT scores or USF turns the ball over to "reverse the bad luck that the last shot caused". Problem solved. Eventually you will find the right amount of fireball to bring USF good luck.
  22. I actually haven't gotten any of your money yet haha. Brad still has it. Purposely did it like that just in case something like this happened and the company experienced a delay
  23. Not that I know of, but something tells me CCS is a part owner...
  24. Was finally able to get through to Michael, the sales person at B&B sports. He sent me the sew-out for final approval, meaning that they have not even started on the shirts. I am beyond frustrated, because at this point they will not be ready for Ga Tech either, mainly because of possible USPS delays due to Hurricane Dorian. That being said, I am hoping to have them by the end of the week and hoping to have them in the mail by Monday of next week. Will keep you all posted.
