  1. JR Reed or sure but Carlton Mitchell was on the team forever.
  2. The IQ is through the roof though. Auggie is the classic lunchpale player; always comes to work and always plays hard.
  3. That is a horrible written article. What is he trying to accomplish? Is goals of 13-0, conference championship and NY6 berth that bad? USF fans aren't expecting to crash the playoff. The schedule is as bad as it is because wisconsin pushed their game back with virtually no time to replace a power team. Is that so hard to research? I just don't get an article like this. Essentially saying "good things are happening let me specifically **** on it for no reason."
  4. 4pm start time in September, too hot.
  5. Is this officially getting into Mad Cow territory?
  6. Agree 100%. I'll always where a usf shirt on my travel days; it helps with the brand recognition.
  7. Here's my statement after much thought and deliberation over the offseason. I believe this year has the workings of something extraordinary. It's very rare that you see a team blossom the way they did in 2015 and build all of that over the next two years. It's also very rare you lose a coaching staff in Taggart be replace them with a virtual power five staff in what Strong has brought in. A talking point that rarely gets brought up is the positives for that staff change. With a similar, but not identical offensive philosophy, that means the tape from last year is moot. Coordinators can't hone in over the knee on tape from last year because the schemes are different. That'll help significantly with gameplanning. Also, this coaching staff has a chip on their shoulder after what happened at Texas; they will keep the players focused knowing what the goal is. This all feels unreal ror USF, whom always seemed to disappoint in the past; but this will be the best year in the program's history.
  8. I actually like the term missed opportunity. It's hard too place undefeated/NY6 expectations on a new coaching staff, but with the talent and schedule plus the state of the American, it would definitely be a missed opportunity.
  9. Hopefully Canales follows Scott when he comes back to USF in the distant future.
  10. It's pretty inappropriate that Memphis PASSED THREE TIMES inside the five.
  11. Are he asterisks part of the name or did he try to say ****?
  12. He's smart with the branding. Wishing the young man a great career!
  13. I got a 50. Wow I suck! Granted I missed the inaugural attendance by like 100 lol
  14. I think they were just referring to the offense as a whole. Can still see a situation where the defense takes two steps forward and the offense takes one step back and still being undefeated.
  15. There's no real smoke. Ole Miss admin has not said a word about a coaching search outside of promoting their interim; this is all just bloggers and some sports writers pontificating because it's the offseason. Strong has fall camp to worry about.
  16. Think Q is locked and loaded for this season. Doesn't seem like the kind of guy that lets it all go to his head. Still stand by the fact that once his daughter was born QF played at a whole different level.
  17. Les Miles makes too much sense here. They need someone to make a culture change.
  18. That's correct, next year is the year where the staff needs to rove themselves. However with Kean and Chris O I believe they are in hands. And if Octavius Battle stays committed this cycle, we are looking pretty good at the position.
  19. Red Cup Rebellion, of the SB Nation family, threw up the standard names as replacements after this season. The thing is who really wants to take a job that is still under NCAA Investigation? That thins the herd a bit until a final decision is made. This isn't a situation where the money is a huge driving force, a la Matt Rhule going to Baylor while still awaiting NCAA punishment. Strong is getting his salary subsidized by Texas the next two years, so he's still making P5 money; and doesn't have to play Saban every year. From a strictly financial standpoint it doesn't really behoove Strong to leave before the Texas money dries up. He can make P5 money while coaching in a favorable conference, padding his resume (assuming he is looking ahead to move back to a P5 job) Of course a part of me hears him talking about taking this program to the next level and really wants it to be true that he puts his roots down.
  20. Awesome, was this a photoshop edit? Also just noticed the site changed, at least on mobile, and now you can upvote OR like? What's the difference,?
