To be honest, I just don’t see Taggart leaving. I thinks he simply has a lot of hometown pride. Most coaches might have went to the college they coach at, but most weren't raised in the city they coach. Plus he is building a new house in the Tampa area. Being able to bring USF to the level of UF, UM and FSU is a much greater accomplishment then simply coaching at a P5 school offering more money. Taggart, like myself, has seen UM, FSU and UF become national power houses during the 80's and 90's and I feel he truly wants to bring USF to that level like Schnellenberger, Bowden, and Spurrier did 4 their schools. Why jump on somebody else’s legacy if you can make your own? The money will be there if he keeps on winning and Charlie Strong is a perfect example of the grass not being greener on the other side. Not too mention, Les Miles was making 3 mil per year at LSU. I think USF can afford to hold onto Taggart who is making close to 2 mil a year already.
