I'm just a football fan, so I'll ask all the "football experts" on here. Doesn't the offensive coordinator call the plays? During an offensive timeout, wouldn't he be relaying the play to the huddle? During a defensive timeout, wouldn't it be the defensive coordinator, dline / dbacks coach talking in the huddle? I always envisioned a head coach as the CEO of the team. He handles the overall aspects of the team but isn't micro-managing the plays during the game, he relies on the assistant coaches. Should he actually be in the huddle during a timeout talking to the players when they are trying to get the next play they are going to run?
