    yeah, not saying it's the right choice...just thinking the way USF makes decisions....think of who we hired last time. The fact we might have turned down Herman is intriguing because that would mean we found someone better. Although, once again USF making the decision, so who knows....

    Didn't USF tweet that they had their guy and told the other candidates they weren't interested? I've even heard Herman was one of those other candidates. If that's the case, then we should be good. Probably won't be Deion, but it sounds like USF got their first choice whoever that is....

    I think before the whole Deion / Chadwell hype train, USF decided on someone. Probably someone like Mullen. I think USF had to interview Chadwell and Deion because they were at the top of the wish list, but we can't afford them. The hype train took off with all these rumors and now all the fans wanted Chadwell/Deion or bust. We needed a splash hire, but I don't think we could afford one, money wise. We will get a good coach, but everyone will be disappointed because of the week-long hype.

    He said December 5 was the target date for announcing a coaching hire. There are conference games this weekend that most coaches would prefer to coach before leaving for another team. If he responded to every twitter comment and rumor he would look very unprofessional. It's the fans / media's fault for throwing out all these rumors, not his.

    I'm disappointed because he's a great kicker, but he's been here 4 years, he's paid his dues and served his time. I wish him success on the rest of his career.

    I mean, technically, he was successful at Jackson State by pulling in higher level talent with his name recognition when he started there. That's kind of what we are hoping he does here, pull in higher level talent because of name recognition. At this point, we really don't know how good he is as a coach because until now, he has out-talented the opposition.

    You're building yourself up for disappointment. With this roster, we won't win more than 3-4 games next season with whoever they hire. Without a significant increase in defensive talent, we might even lose to Temple again.

    I saw a guy dressed as a USF themed Captain America at one of the games. Dressing up in cosplay or wearing a Wizard hat isn't my thing, but who am I do judge how someone cheers for their team and shows school spirit. With the amount of fans we have right now, we should be happy anyone is showing up and cheering.

    I mean, who is a good friend, but leaking information. I assume Deion wouldn't have wanted this information out there if he's still going to coach his team and hasn't told them yet. I doubt he comes here, but the whole "inner" circle texting out information seems kind of suspect too.

    Posturing for what, though? Did he really think a bigger program would hear that he was in talks with USF and swoop in with more money? He was in talks with CU before. Sounds like a waste of time on his part. I feel like we were ahead by 1 and just tried to run 3 times up the middle for no gain.....

    Yeah, he's definitely a sleeper cell...they haven't activated him yet. He'll get a phone call in the middle of the night and the voice on the other end will say 0-12 and he'll turn into a lean, mean, trolling machine.....
