  1. I think Notre Dame is getting our kicker....congrats to him!!
  2. Looks like they are a little behind on updating their page. Probably the same guy who posts the USF Football tweets.
  3. You call them excuses, I call them factual reasons why he failed as a head coach.
  4. In the Rome interview, it sounded like he let it slip that he was bringing a former high school coach that inspired his journey. I would say either Jeff Snyder (coach from 98-99) or Karl Johnson who is the present football coach at Dublin Scioto High School. If it's Johnson, his accolades: Karl Johnson2000 - Present146 Wins, 100 Losses2001 OCC-Cardinal Champions2002 OCC-Cardinal Champions2002 OCC Co-coach of the Year2003 OCC-Cardinal Champions2003 State Final 42003 OCC-Cardinal Coach of the Year2003 Dispatch-Agonis Club Coach of the year
  5. Did this guy kick your dog or something. He's gone, you don't have to keep throwing dirt on his grave. I don't think you can really compare the two Jeff's unless you actually followed both teams all season, tracked their injuries, qb situation, how many were out every week due to covid...etc. It's kind of naive to say these two coaches started at the same time, so they should have both been equally successful.
  6. Where we are as a program currently, there's not much else he can say. It's going to be tough trying to convince recruits that he is building something here that will be successful. We do have some building blocks in place with a great QB and RB. It will be interesting to see if he can have success plugging in 2 and 3 star guys into his offensive system instead of what he had at Tennessee. From the radio interview, it sounds like he has been planning this for over 2 years and micro-managed hours, days, weeks for what he needs to do to be successful as a coach. Who knows if it will work, but it sounds like a better plan than Scott had when he came in.
  7. 20 minute infomercial for South Florida....great interview. Thanks for posting the link.
  8. You're killing me here. I was agreeing with you. I meant on Antonio Grier's twitter page, he spells his name with the o.
  9. He was compensated with money given freely by the members here. I don't think there was any fine print requiring him to pay the money back if he transferred or was injured and couldn't play. Sitting out because his father passed away, what a terrible excuse. How dare him have family members die during the season.
  10. I think they left off the O on purpose to troll us on the number of conference championships we have....
  11. I think he's saying on Grier's actual twitter page, it is spelled like that....
  12. Just some advice, I'd give up trying to argue with UCF fans on their board, you can't reason with stupid and they just pull you down to their level.
  13. I think we had a player by that name who played on a terrible defense. I guess he wanted to play for another team on another terrible defense.
  14. Haven't they now confirmed he was never on campus or even in Tampa when all these rumors came out? We couldn't afford him and he was never coming here. Deion's PR guys sent out a few "leads" to the local media and it snowballed from there. He knew CU was his destination but had to get another school into the mix to make them increase their offer.
  15. I don't fault him for wanting to play on a winning team before his college career ends. He played hard here. Kind of stings going to the school to the east, but was probably his only choice.
  16. Any successful coach isn't going to be happy with an AAC championship as the pinnacle of his career. They are going to want bigger and better things. No matter who we hired, if they are successful after a few seasons, the are going to get better offers. I think the reasoning behind the stepping stone argument was that USF is an easier turnaround if you can bring in talent and that's what Deion is doing at CU right now. After the last few terrible seasons, I'm not sure you'd get much of an argument from USF fans if he came in, won a conference championship and left after 3 years. We can talk ourselves into thinking he wouldn't have been good for the program, but I don't think he was really in play for USF anyway. He wanted CU and knew they had more money so played up the USF rumors so he could get top dollar.
  17. I think Bama has 13, UF 15, FSU 8, UM 12, UCF 7, USF 8....It's the wild west out there....Hopefully we can pull in some homesick talent that wants to play here.
  18. Yeah, my apologies. I missed the part where you said it was BS.
  19. it's a stone cold, lead pipe, lock of the day....take my word for it.... That aged well.....
  20. Defense was a giant turd and needed to go. Offense improved throughout the season, so I wouldn't be disappointed if we kept Trickett.
  21. Did you see that 6'7 270lb TE/OT/DE that replied to this tweet? JPP was 6'4 278lb....He's a juco, wonder if he can be developed more...
  22. Maybe Gollesh likes to have a face to face to let people go, so Da Prato is staying out on the recruiting trail as long as possible....if he stays out there long enough and Gollesh forgets or pulls in someone good, he can keep his job....win/win...
